The cleaning standards & maintenance were bad enough before learning about hidden cameras found here during the month of my stay. You get what you pay for: pests, small & stained towels, poor turnover, dirty carpets, bad cable, soap dispensers falling off wall.

make it simple, we WILL NEVVVVER stay at this hotel again. During stay we discovered a HIDDEN CAMERA no larger then the size of your finger tip, that was taped to the bottom of the  table inside the room that was facing the bed and bathroom area. Local law enforcement was called to complete a report and collect evidence. Property manager nor company did nothing to apologize or compensate for our stay. This was absolutely a VIOLATION OF PRIVACY, and should be rectified yet nothing was done. Police report number is in hand and an investigation is underway. PLEASE be aware this place failed to protect my privacy and safety. Pictures of hidden camera was obtained for evidence! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The place is affordable and stylish. The room is clean. & I love the shower. Will return.

White dirty towels under the mattress.

Disgusting hotel never ever come here!! And if you do MAKE SURE YOU CHECK UNDER THE MATTRESS. I drove out here with my fiancé from Arizona and after a long 6 hour drive you would expect it to be clean but no we had empty alcohol bottles under the mattress they gave us another room after the front lady saw that and then we decided to check that new rooms mattress and found these dirty towels under the mattress. We went back to the front lady and she told us to get out and leave! Like?? How are you about to tell us to get out and leave when you can't clean your own bedrooms. I'm disgusted by this place and the customer service. Never ever coming back here again and don't recommend it for anyone.

I booked this hotel online and as my first couple hrs the owners called saying I'm not allowed to have visitors however was not on the policy I only had 3 people Over & they werent going to spend the night bc I know I only reserved it for 2 people..THE SHOWER had no shampoo conditioner nor body soap provided and I come a long way from home!!! The owners want to complain about noise level when it's almost NOON during day time and it's from playing music while in the shower 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

I pre-paid the room, which saved me a bit of money. The hotel was able to accommodate my need for a small fridge and a microwave (for Bella's food). Everything at the hotel is lovely. Pasadena is a true gem. I loved walking in the Oak Knoll neighborhood and enjoying the wonderful gardens on the Langham property. Talking with many passersby. Taking deep breaths... finally feeling like I could and DID relax. I visited the Tap Room and the Terrace twice because we enjoyed our experience so much. Something that is unique to this hotel -- is the overwhelming friendly disposition of every staff member we encountered. From Nathan (the guy that works on the ponds and pools), to Max (at the Terrace), to Abby & Francis (at the Tap Room)... to the front staff (forgot his name) that helped me (even locating me in the Tap Room when they needed me)... Honestly, I think all of the staff truly likes this place, and THIS shows with how they treat their guests. No ask is too much and even though I didn't need anything crazy... just making it reasonable to travel with a senior dog that gets homemade meatballs, it was really a nice feeling. I would do anything for my pup, but this trip was really for me. I think Bella was sad to leave... and that's always a good sign; if you've stayed too long you're listless and lethargic (even), but we left still smiling and beaming from our experience. I needed it. And, I got exactly what I wanted. Thanks a million, to the Langham! My one suggestion/critique (albeit small) -- is they need to make the amenity fees more clear upon booking the room. I thought all of that was taken care of (and I was surprised by the daily charges).

I genuinely do not understand the hype around the The Langham Huntington, Pasadena. We've now given…read morethis hotel multiple chances over several years and every single experience has been disappointing. The first time was Valentine's Day shortly after I gave birth to our third child. My husband took me to The Terrace for a simple lunch because we live walking distance and thought it would be an easy, relaxing outing. Instead, we got terrible service and shockingly bad food for a supposedly luxury hotel. Completely forgettable experience. Then we tried the Teddy Bear Tea a few years later with our kids. Again, awful. The food and tea were both mediocre at best, and the setup felt chaotic and lazy compared to a proper afternoon tea service. Instead of the elegant presentation you'd expect, everyone was handed messy pre-plated trays dumped onto the table, and getting tea refills felt nearly impossible because staff were nowhere to be found. Last spring we decided to give the property another shot through a ResortPass cabana day. While the pool itself was peaceful, service was practically nonexistent. We spent more time trying to flag someone down for food and drinks than actually relaxing. For the prices they charge, pool service should not feel like a scavenger hunt. Most recently, I booked a one-night staycation to spend some one-on-one time with my oldest daughter. Same exact issues all over again. The pool was packed and there appeared to be ONE server working the entire area. The room itself felt extremely dated, and the bathroom fixtures were rusty and not particularly clean. My daughter actually told me the hotel "felt haunted," which honestly summed up the entire atmosphere perfectly. What's especially frustrating is how heavily they market themselves as family-friendly with all these supposed kid amenities and "special touches." They advertise things like a kids passport/scavenger hunt experience, so my husband specifically noted it in the reservation ahead of time and even called afterward to confirm. Despite all of that, nobody seemed to know what we were talking about and nothing was prepared. It perfectly captures the overall experience at this hotel: lots of luxury branding and promises, but completely disorganized execution once you actually arrive. At this point, it feels like this hotel survives entirely on its reputation and location, not on actual hospitality or quality. Beautiful grounds can only carry a property so far. For the price point, the service, food, upkeep, and overall experience are consistently unacceptable.

We didn't use their gym nor pool however we did enjoy their restaurant at The Corner Craft.. The food at this property was surprisingly well made. The bartender with the fancy bottle opener was a far better server than the older server that was observed watching the soccer game on tv more than helping any of the occupied tables. This year I was planning to bring my pet here again to escape the fireworks. I booked a room 3 weeks in advance only to receive a cancellation email days before the 4th of July. The email didn't even state the reason why they cancelled my reservation. I contacted Motel 6 about the cancellation and I was told that it was due to the Motel being over booked. If that was the case they shouldn't have booked the room that was booked 3 weeks in advance. No apology was even given. That is not how you run a business. Check-in was smooth and the front desk staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. We liked it so much that we decided to extend our stay for another night. The rooms were clean, quiet, and calming, with a minimalist, zen vibe. The bathroom was especially nice with a bidet, which is always a plus. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and well maintained. There's a bistro, bar, and restaurant right on site, which made things super convenient. I had a breakfast bowl at the bistro and it was really tasty. Parking was reasonable at $18/day with in-and-out privileges, which is hard to find in this area. Another bonus: tons of food spots and spa services within walking distance. It's also an easy drive to Pasadena for shopping or a visit to the Huntington Gardens. Overall, this place exceeded expectations. Calm, comfortable, and convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

ROSE BOWL STAY When…read moreI bought my ticket for the last Pac-12 regular season football game ever between Cal and UCLA I wanted to stay at a hotel that was close to the Rose Bowl Stadium. There are three reasons why I chose to stay here: 1) Residence Inn was about a mile away from the Rose Bowl. 2) There's a heated outdoor swimming pool. 3) This hotel serves hot breakfast buffet daily. I found out when checked-in the Residence Inn on Black Friday there was a free shuttle that would be going to the Rose Bowl from the Parsons Complex, which was about a block away. The room during my stay was the Studio Room. There was more than enough space between the bed and kitchen. The shower was fairly large compared to other showers of other hotels I stayed at. Since this hotel is located in Old Pasadena you can visit a lot of eateries by foot. There are a two issues from this hotel that prevented me from giving a higher rating: 1) The swimming isn't really heated as I swam one evening. 2) The hot breakfast buffet is limited as there are eggs and bacon but there is no sausage. Despite the flaws this is a nice hotel to stay in Old Pasadena if you don't have a car. If I'm staying at Old Pasadena for the Rose Bowl I can see myself sleep at Residence Inn again.

I had an important appointment across town that I needed to keep so, I left to get to the appointment and expected to get back to the hotel around the time that the room became available. Unfortunately, I encountered serious vehicle issues and was not able to get back to the hotel. I also did not want to get stuck in the dark trying to get across town to the hotel. I tried to call the hotel later that evening but, it just kept ringing and ringing, until it timed out, and I was never able to reach anyone. Early the next morning (April 26th), I tried calling again but, it still just kept ringing until it timed out. I was finally able to physically go to the hotel and speak with Mary a bit after 2am. She told me that I would have to wait until after 9:30 or 10 am and speak with David, the GM. I called at 11:21 am and told another man there what happened and he told me to speak with David at 3pm. I spoke with David at 3:29pm and told him that I had planned to be there when the room was ready but, I had serious vehicle issues and no way to get to the hotel. I mentioned that I tried to call, no one answered, and that I finally spoke with Mary, who told me that I had to speak with him. He said that Mary starts at 11pm and I should have called sooner. I explained that had I not been stuck across town without transportation and dealing with serious vehicle issues, I would have but, I did try to communicate as soon as I could. I told him that I just wanted to be able to stay for one night to use the one night for which I paid. It is unfortunate because, even though this place was not the best, most well kept hotel, it was conveniently located and most of the staff, up to this point, seemed nice enough. The Best Western Pasadena Inn met all my needs, exceeding expectations. First off, the area is clean and safe, allowing me to feel comfortable compared to some locations in LA. I also loved the rooms, which are large and clean with fridges and some of the fastest wireless internet I have seen for Zoom meetings. It allowed me to work without stress. Huge accolades for the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and actually hot, unlike some hotels where the water is lukewarm. I was hoping this place would work out because it always seems to have a good rate, but big this place has so many red flags. I should have reconsidered my hotel choice. I like the proximity to S Lake Avenue but the experience wasn't worth it. Parking and check in is in front of the hotel. It's kind of dangerous with the traffic on Colorado Blvd. Best bet is to temporarily park and enter on Mentor. We loaded up our bags in the cart and checked in. Then parked the car. The parking garage is around the corner on Mentor. My first red flag is the parking pass didn't work and I grabbed a ticket to get in. Got that cleared but the time when I was given the pass and when I got to the entrance, it didn't activate. It also deactivated post checkout when I was leaving the garage/ When I checked in, I asked for room service for our entire stay and NO one showed up during our entire stay! More on that later. Room is on the small side but they made up for it with the shower. The shower was the best part of our stay. However, it would have been nice to have clean towels. I was disappointed we didn't get house keeping the next day, but I asked for towels and bar soap at the desk and when we got back to our room (they never showed up) or left anything in front of our door. On the second day, we made sure the service light was on and Private light was off. When we got to our room, we came back to a messy room and NO towels. By then, we're upset. When our towels arrived, they were so ratty that I would use these as our thrash towels at home. Imagine toweling off with that because I did. This is where things get really sketchy. Don't leave out a menu for a $9 beer and charge us $12. The bartender says her manager didn't change the menu but there was a price change. Honor the price listed! That is illegal. I don't mind paying the listed price, but the audacity to upcharge $3 and expect a tip. The housekeeping experience made us check out early. There was no point hanging in a messy room. I usually tip housekeeping but there was no need for me to do so on this visit.
