170.00 for a room that makes you feel like a prison cell. I say spend a little more and stay at another motel.

People walking about, guests with noisy kids waiting to…read morecheck in, two people holding everyone else up, and a crazy person that the cops had to be called on. Welcome to the Holiday Inn! Such a busy hotel should've had more than just one person working the front desk. The guy was friendly and helpful, but waiting in line took way too long and there were many people queued behind us. Things were better once the wife and I made it to our room. We had a king suite that was large and quite comfortable. There was a sofa and table, armchair, long desk, two TVs, good sized fridge that got really cold, microwave, coffee maker, safe, and more. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains worked well. We heard some noise through the wall but it wasn't excessive. The free WiFi was fast enough for streaming. Lots of power outlets and USB charging ports. The bathroom was less nice. Water easily got on the floor and counter when showering and using the sink, respectively, and the low-flow shower wasn't enjoyable to use. Parking is free. The hotel decor is refined and the elevators arrive quickly. Amenities include self-service laundry, a pool and spa, and a fitness center. No free breakfast, but inside the hotel is an upscale Chinese restaurant that also serves American fare. The fitness center has several cardio machines, a weight machine, and free weights up to 50 lbs. Some of the equipment needs maintenance. For instance, the weight bench was noticeably wobbly with some loose bolts, which is an accident waiting to happen (I did inform the front desk). Our stay was covered by our free night from our IHG credit card. Overall, this place has more positives than negatives and I can see myself staying here again. Hopefully some of the minor nuisances and safety issues will be addressed by then.

Unfortunately, we were treated very poorly by a member of the security staff. He informed us that the lobby was not associated with the restaurant and that we were not allowed to remain there. I understand that the hotel may have policies regarding the use of the lobby, and I respect those rules. However, what was disappointing was the way the message was delivered. The security staff spoke to us in a harsh and unwelcoming tone, making us feel as though we were an inconvenience rather than potential guests. Hospitality is not only about enforcing policies--it is also about treating people with courtesy and respect. When your guests include elderly individuals, a little patience and kindness can make a significant difference. There are many professional and respectful ways to explain hotel policies without making people feel unwelcome. I hope hotel management will provide additional customer service training to its security staff so that future visitors receive the level of hospitality that guests should reasonably expect from a hotel.

The spatial flow across their 23 acres is immaculate, allowing the property to host high volume events without ever making individual guests feel crowded. The Tap Room remains one of the best lounges in Pasadena for a perfectly executed classic cocktail, and the front of house staff anticipates needs before they are verbalized. It is exactly the standard of execution you expect from a landmark property. Best for: High tea, upscale weekend staycations, and flawlessly executed cocktails. Pro tip: Valet pacing is excellent, but allow extra time if you are arriving during peak wedding hours on a Saturday.

Ordered room service ahead for 7am, and were awakened at 630am by an early delivery. Since we were awake early, we checked online, and learned it was unsurprisingly a downgrade. So we called at 8am to ask for a room swap to match what we had reserved. They said that entire building where we had reserved was full, so they could move us to a "better" garden view. Checkout is 11am, so we hope to get you in asap. Well, official checkin at this hotel is 3pm, and as of 3pm, we still have not gotten the new room. We have an event to go to tonight, and despite repeated requests to the front desk to sort out the move asap, we have been told they were waiting on housekeeping, then on maintenance. So they're apparently putting us in a new room that had someone check out, and needs repairs, and they don't have another room in the entire hotel to move us to? We had been told by many people that staying at this hotel was a wonderful high end experience and an ideal place to get away to. It has been a bust. Would not recommend to anyone.

When you go to a Hampton Inn, you are assured a familiar standard in your experience. This one is…read moreno different compared to others. I've stayed at many Hampton Inns through the years to confidently say that. I'm not from this area but just from driving around it looks like a fine area. Lots of stuff around (restaurants, eateries, fast food, the mall, etc). I guess only con is it looks like there is constant traffic as it seems to be a hub for lots of amenities for the area. With that said the property looks kept up well. The lobby is pleasant and warm. Front desk person at 11PM was still energetic and professional. I didn't check all the amenities as this was a 1 night quick rest stop, but I did see an outdoor pool that closes at 9PM (not sure if heated) and no separate hot tub. The halls to the rooms are bright and dont look eerie at all. The rooms are fairly up to date being very utilitarian and functional. Tiny--by today's standards TV. Conveniently placed outlets with USB ports. There are 2 desks to work on. There are the ever so important microwave and minifridge with coffee maker. Beds and linens were up to par--both being good and comfortable. The HVAC system was adequate with a noticeable hum but no rattles. AC blows nice and cold--period. The bathroom is small, functional, and seems more recently updated than the room itself. Toilet seat is still the cheap low height. Con so far is the following: The bathroom door is a barn door. It serves to close the built in closet when bathroom door is open, and close the bathroom door itself when it use. It has a nice mirror to check yourself out. HOWEVER, there is NO LOCK ON THE BATHROOM BARN DOOR. So when you go to use the bathroom, you slide the barndoor shut but there is nothing preventing shared guests to simply go in there when in use. Bring back the standard door, as in this case function trumps fashion. As with all Hampton Inns--breakfast is included. It's the usual faire and quality if you have been to a Hampton Inn property before. Not much has changed in that for a decade or more. It's doable. Lots of carbs/breads/starches, yogurt, egg, potatoes, coffee, cereal, make your own waffle, etc. Overall another pleasant stay, but not perfect.

From the beautiful event space to the delicious food and incredibly accommodating staff, the entire evening was handled with care and professionalism. Our coordinator, Vivian Tsai, was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She was responsive, organized, warm, and made the planning process feel easy. What impressed us most was how well the team handled last-minute requests during the event. They were able to accommodate a guest who needed a vegetarian meal, quickly prepare a steak dinner for a guest who did not care for fish, and even serve dinner to a couple who arrived very late in the evening. The bartenders, banquet staff, servers, and management team truly went above and beyond to take care of our guests. We received so much positive feedback afterward about the food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience. Our anniversary dinner turned out beautifully, and the Le Méridien team played a huge part in making it such a memorable evening. A very special thank you to Vivian Tsai, Ray Chiu and the entire banquet team for their attention to detail, flexibility, and outstanding hospitality. Once we arrived, we were able to quickly check in and get to our rooms without a hassle. Before we retired for the evening, we walked a block to the nearby shopping center and made a few purchases. It's in a super-convenient location, so it made for a nice walk. We had breakfast in the dining area near the lobby on both Saturday and Sunday morning, and both times were pretty good. I'm very happy that we got to have a hot breakfast and not just cereal. Upon advice from a family member, on Saturday we had inquired with the lady at the front desk by the name of Angelina as to whether we could have a late checkout. She asked us to check back with her in the morning. So the following morning, we checked with her again and she enrolled us into their members program. And then she proceeded to authorize our late check-out. We were elated because we really could use that extra hour of time to get ourselves together. We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was really comfortable, the air worked well, and the room was clean (though it could have used a little extra attention to detail in some areas). The single most amazing part of our stay was the service provided by Angelina herself. She is very friendly, very attentive, quick to respond, and super helpful. Every hotel provider should have staff of such an excellent caliber. As we are moving out of state soon, I look forward to our next stay here when we come back to visit our family in California.
