    When I was told that we were upgraded to a junior suite, I was excited. However, the stay turned out to be very disappointing. The room size was acceptable, but the main issue was that there was only a tiny window in the room, which is not common. There was also a Peloton bike in the room, but unfortunately, it did not work at all, so we couldn't even try it. The biggest problem was the air conditioner. It was extremely loud and could not be turned off using the control panel. The air vent was directed straight toward the bed, blowing directly against my head and face throughout the night. As a result, I barely got any sleep. Overall, it was such a terrible experience that we would not come back in the future.

    I booked a last minute room here on Hotels.com as a quick staycation, planned around my young kids swimming-- the lead image of this hotel was the pool. Immediately after booking I received a message saying the pool was closed, so I went to cancel our stay. The property DECLINED. I'm shocked and cannot believe a guest was treated this way. There was zero mention of a closed pool anywhere on the page.

    The Westin Pasadena is a nice hotel within walking distance of the Pasadena Conference Center (0.4 mile walk). We were warmly greeted upon arrival and were able to check in early, which was very accommodating. Our room was spacious and clean. The on premises restaurant was good for breakfast, but like most hotels, a little over priced compared with going to a local restaurant.

    Our experience was amazing, check in went smoothly, we got many recommendations as well as a lot of information on the amenities as well. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Valet staff was always kind and respectful and answered our questions when we had some. Overall great experience through and through and we would def come back again!

    For almost $300 a night, things should be in working order. The shower head/handle needed some work or a replacement. Other than that, the room was comfortable. Nice staff.

    The "Not so special" feeling when I returned to my room seeing it still unmade after the entire day away. Bummer.

    The hotel is fantastic. The grounds are beautiful. The architecture is incredible too! I like my room, and overall, the experience is very nice. And then, there is the service. What do you do if you're gone all day from your room from 8 AM to 5:39 PM and you come back and the room is not made and everything is the way you left it but nothing is cleaned or replenished? Should I be happy? Now I have to make my own bed... I thought I came to this hotel so they could take care of me?!? And when I called downstairs to ask them, why, they called me to tell me the housekeeper marked it as cleaned and then asked me, "are you sure they didn't clean the room?" Yes yes, I'm sure! Now I'm gonna post a picture so they could see how I found my room at 5:39 PM after an entire day away. Update - the housekeeping manager did call me back to apologize and they did credit some points for the inconvenience. I am glad they followed up and owned up to their oversight or mistake. Much better. Added a star after that since they did their best to make it right.

    My husband and I went to Pasadena for the Cruel World Festival, and we were happy to be able to book the Westin at a block rate after our Airbnb cancelled on us. Check-in as easy and staff members were friendly. Our room was simple. It was a basic king room with no extra seating area. It was nice to have a fridge in the room to keep drinks cold. The room was clean and modern-looking. I wish there had been a sink outside of the restroom to do makeup. The safe in our room was broken, as was the ice machine on our floor. Luckily I ran into a friendly staff member who let me know that I needed to go down to the fifth floor for ice. Otherwise, I would have been wandering from floor to floor. We ordered room service for breakfast in the morning. I have very low expectations of room service, but wanted a breakfast before heading to a music festival. Unfortunately the eggs were rubbery and the toast was tough so I threw them away. I did really appreciate the Cruel World lighting projected in the lobby. There is a self-parking lot at the hotel that charges $19/night. Supposedly hotel guests park for $17/night with validation, but we were only given the discount for one of the nights. All in all, this hotel is fine, but nothing special.

    Do you offer local shuttle free to and from the Pasadena Convention Center for my exam this Tuesday and Wednesday please let me know ASAP. I try to call you many times and nobody answers?

    They don't have shuttles that I have ever seen but the Pasadena Convention Center is within walking distance from the hotel.

    Is there laundry service offered? Or machines guests can use?

    No. There is no laundry service or washing machines. I was told by the staff to go to a nearby laundromat.

    Do they have day pass for pool use only?

    Not sure, but pool and jacuzzi are open till 11 pm

    Any free overnight parking close by? Or even validation?

    Yes around the corner is a parking lot where I parked every night for free

    Construction still going on? Is there fee for parking?

    YES!!! Monday through Saturday

Couldn't have slept any better than I did in this deluxe patio room. The view outside was magnificent, and my morning coffees tasted one hundred times better than any restaurant I've had. The teahouse restaurant was luxurious, with the most delicious jasmine tea and scrumptious blueberry scones. The chicken sandwich was served on a beautiful plate and tasted delectable. I truly have no single complaints, I couldn't have had a better stay anywhere else. This location blows any other hotel in the Los Angeles area out of the water. 1000/10, cannot go wrong here.

The lobby is quite nice with multiple seating areas to relax and you can even watch TV. Of course, the bar has TVs too. On my way to the conference room, I noticed a gym. It was clean and maintained. The conference room was spacious and the temperature was comfortable. There was an abundant charcuterie board with fresh fruit, cheese, cold cuts, & crackers and a table with cookies & mini cheesecake bites for dessert (The chocolate chip cookies were bomb!). There were beverages and a bar with wine & a specialty cocktail that was tasty. I would recommend this place for an event. The staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk staff seriously needs additional training in customer service, problem solving, and basic guest relations. I specifically booked and paid extra for a pool view room, and I also explained during check-in that I am handicapped and would appreciate a room near the parking garage entrance for accessibility purposes. Instead, not only was I placed far from the garage entrance, but my room was downgraded to one facing the street despite paying more for the upgraded view. As a Marriott Gold Elite member, I would expect attentive service and, if anything, consideration for an upgrade based on availability -- not being charged more for a downgraded experience. What made the situation even worse was the attitude I received when I called to address the issue. Rather than showing empathy or offering any apology, I was treated as though I was the inconvenience. After having to walk all the way back down to the front desk, the "solution" was to place me in a room that was essentially the farthest possible location on the opposite side of the parking garage. After more than 15 years of loyalty to this hotel, this experience completely severed that relationship for me. It's disappointing to see the level of hospitality and guest care decline so dramatically.

In Pasadena, your best bang for the buck is always this place. And over the last couple years that decision was made because of one person - Alexa. Here's the thing - I like a particular room on the ground floor because it's easy to load all my work materials in and out. I book through a 3rd party app (sorry, job thing for the points) so I book then call to request that room. In years past Alexa and I had just exchanged the typical check-in pleasantries and that was all. Pleasant, courteous and informative with any of my Q's. But I switched jobs and hadn't been back in the area for about a year. Now I'm back and my territory now includes SoCal again. I booked, and called. Alexa picked up and without me even telling her my name first she informed me that she'd seen the booking and knew that this guest (from a year prior!) preferred a particular room and had already put me in that one. This has happened a few times since and each time, I'm still impressed. I don't expect this nor should anyone. For someone that's on the road as often as I am, I see a lot of faces at hotels and they blur together after awhile so I assume it's similar on their end. But I really just have to say it's so rare to have someone who has a 'few times a year' 30-second exchange with me be so good at her job that I'd never go anywhere else. And when I'm doing business in the area, I rave. Apart from that - very clean rooms. Everything works as it should. Parking is ample and safe. Just wanted to take the time to share my experience to let the owner know that, through the years, she's really done a lot to make me feel welcome and taken care of. They're lucky to have her.

I had an important appointment across town that I needed to keep so, I left to get to the appointment and expected to get back to the hotel around the time that the room became available. Unfortunately, I encountered serious vehicle issues and was not able to get back to the hotel. I also did not want to get stuck in the dark trying to get across town to the hotel. I tried to call the hotel later that evening but, it just kept ringing and ringing, until it timed out, and I was never able to reach anyone. Early the next morning (April 26th), I tried calling again but, it still just kept ringing until it timed out. I was finally able to physically go to the hotel and speak with Mary a bit after 2am. She told me that I would have to wait until after 9:30 or 10 am and speak with David, the GM. I called at 11:21 am and told another man there what happened and he told me to speak with David at 3pm. I spoke with David at 3:29pm and told him that I had planned to be there when the room was ready but, I had serious vehicle issues and no way to get to the hotel. I mentioned that I tried to call, no one answered, and that I finally spoke with Mary, who told me that I had to speak with him. He said that Mary starts at 11pm and I should have called sooner. I explained that had I not been stuck across town without transportation and dealing with serious vehicle issues, I would have but, I did try to communicate as soon as I could. I told him that I just wanted to be able to stay for one night to use the one night for which I paid. It is unfortunate because, even though this place was not the best, most well kept hotel, it was conveniently located and most of the staff, up to this point, seemed nice enough. At this point, I have no interest in ever staying here again. I would just like a full refund.

I was in town visiting Caltech and wanted a hotel that had truck parking, a hot tub, a laundry room, and strong cleanliness standards. The Best Western Pasadena Inn met all my needs, exceeding expectations. First off, the area is clean and safe, allowing me to feel comfortable compared to some locations in LA. I also loved the rooms, which are large and clean with fridges and some of the fastest wireless internet I have seen for Zoom meetings. It allowed me to work without stress. Huge accolades for the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and actually hot, unlike some hotels where the water is lukewarm. I also appreciated the staff here because they are very friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. If you enjoy having a wide selection of TV channels, this hotel definitely delivers. They do have a free breakfast, which is a nice added value, especially if you are heading out early for the day. The guest laundry room is also very convenient and a major asset for longer stays or road trips. Overall, I absolutely love the Best Western Pasadena Inn and will gladly stay here again, even if it means driving into Los Angeles, because I know this hotel delivers consistent, dependable quality.

I was hoping this place would work out because it always seems to have a good rate, but big this place has so many red flags. I should have reconsidered my hotel choice. I like the proximity to S Lake Avenue but the experience wasn't worth it. Parking and check in is in front of the hotel. It's kind of dangerous with the traffic on Colorado Blvd. Best bet is to temporarily park and enter on Mentor. We loaded up our bags in the cart and checked in. Then parked the car. The parking garage is around the corner on Mentor. My first red flag is the parking pass didn't work and I grabbed a ticket to get in. Got that cleared but the time when I was given the pass and when I got to the entrance, it didn't activate. It also deactivated post checkout when I was leaving the garage/ When I checked in, I asked for room service for our entire stay and NO one showed up during our entire stay! More on that later. Room is on the small side but they made up for it with the shower. The shower was the best part of our stay. However, it would have been nice to have clean towels. I was disappointed we didn't get house keeping the next day, but I asked for towels and bar soap at the desk and when we got back to our room (they never showed up) or left anything in front of our door. On the second day, we made sure the service light was on and Private light was off. When we got to our room, we came back to a messy room and NO towels. By then, we're upset. When our towels arrived, they were so ratty that I would use these as our thrash towels at home. Imagine toweling off with that because I did. This is where things get really sketchy. Don't leave out a menu for a $9 beer and charge us $12. The bartender says her manager didn't change the menu but there was a price change. Honor the price listed! That is illegal. I don't mind paying the listed price, but the audacity to upcharge $3 and expect a tip. The housekeeping experience made us check out early. There was no point hanging in a messy room. I usually tip housekeeping but there was no need for me to do so on this visit.
