This place is delicious, a bit pricy if you're not used to the food they have to offer but not horribly overpriced. Everything I can think of is absolutely wonderful, the steaks, burgers, I even got a Caramel covered chicken breast stuffed with cherries. It was amazing. I went to Springfield Grille for my friend's 40th birthday and was so excited to learn that it is part of the restaurant group that includes the Iron Bridge and Rachel's, two amazing restaurants I enjoyed when I was a college student. Once I figured out the connection I immediately asked my waiter if they ever made the soft pretzels (which Rachel's is famous for) because they weren't on the menu. He said, "no problem" and in ten minutes delicious homemade soft pretzels appeared! For dinner I had the scallops and shrimp which was served on risotto. It came with two sides, and I chose a salad and a tasty sweet potato that was accompanied with a sweet cinnamon butter. Everything was great, and I hate to sour my review by stating that my dinner was a little cold. I could have asked them to warm it up, but I didn't want to be "that person" at the table. Hey, it didn't stop me from finishing the entire thing. Service was excellent and everyone in my group had a great time. I'd certainly return here when I'm in the area. read more

We've given this place numerous chances, and it's always been just ok. On a road with a variety of chain establishments (Red Robin, Smokey Bones, etc), the food really doesn't leave anything exciting for me to say. The ambiance is too formal for the menu, and the prices are high for the area. While they do get bonus points for a good wine and beer selection, I'm under impressed. Fish dishes always taste overcooked, and the steaks are over-salted. Not worth making a special trip. Locals thrive on this place, but I just don't see (a-hem, taste) it. read more

update 3-8-09 We've eaten here probably 5 or 6 times now... sometimes we're extremely happy when we leave... and other times its just so-so... We've finally figured out what makes the difference! Everytime we've ordered off the chef's daily special's menu, its been amazing... (last time, i had some awesome andouille chowder and cajun chicken with red beans and rice!! yum!!) everytime we've eaten anything off their regular menu, its just been okay... nothing special, and often dissapointing... The garlic brie appetizer was one of the most discusting things i've ever eaten too, btw... DON'T EVER ORDER IT! Maybe they should have their chef write a whole new menu! They post the chef's daily specials on their website, check it out before you go. If you don't see something that sounds good, save this place for another time when they do. read more

We made reservations for a birthday party at the Springfield Grille due to the high ratings it received. Having checked the business beforehand, we felt confident this place would be ideal. Boy, were we wrong. First, the complementary bread brought out was still frozen in the middle. Second, the food was mediocre. Not very tasty and the fries were a bit soggy and not fresh. On top of that, and third, the waiter, although very accommodating, reeked of body odor. We definitely will not return. read more

Easy to find. It was right off the turnpike. We have tried the springfield restaurants in grove city and we are a fan. I wanted to try something closer to home. I had zucchini for an appetizer,very large portion. It was flavorful and crunchy. I had the grilled pork chops. My husband had the filet. Both dinners were very tender. The service was spot on. We had a special family celebration last night and it was a complete disaster. We arrived at 6:00 and were promptly seated. Our server arrived at 6:15 to take drink orders. She came back at 6:30 to take appetizer and dinner orders. Our appetizers arrived at 7:00 and dinner did not arrive until 7:50. Now nearly 2 hours later, the meals were sub standard and poorly done. I miss this place! If not for 228 traffic during my dinner time I would frequent this place more. Also, the last time my hubby and I went, there was a 45 min wait because it was a friday and unfortunately, there are not a lot of restaurants in Mars. They have turtle soup here and you mix the shot of whiskey or something in it. I tried it because I was curious, but I felt guilty afterwards because turtles are so cute they should be friends not food. The steaks are good here and the best part is the derby pie. I think that's what it's called. Can't wait to go back. read more

From the sparse side salad to the flavorless breaded cod and cream chicken, oh and the dried out coconut cheesecake - it all was lackluster. Gary was our server and did a great job. Easy to get to and great parking. The atmosphere was very nice. Business casual but not suit and tie at least for the night we were there. Earlier in the evening it can be a little noisy, but after 9 it does quiet down. Cocktails are reasonable, 6 to 8 dollar range. Had an appetizer. Filet oscar was great and the chicken marsala was ok. Very nice selection of dinners but you should check online for their menu. Total cost for appetizer. dinner for two, with a cocktail for each and 2 glasses of wine each was around 90 dollars. I went for Valentines Day and had a great meal. The portions were relatively large, which was perfect since my boyfriend has a big appetite. Both our meals were above average and were a reasonable price. I had the Zing Pasta and would recommend it for anyone looking for a tasty classic. We had a reservation so I can't comment on the wait time, however while both leaving and coming I did not see a long line. Our server was being trained that night so she was nice, but inexperienced. Overall the atmosphere was classy, the food was great, and the prices were reasonable. My mom and I ordered take out from the Springfield Grille and I wasn't too impressed. I ordered a side of steamed vegetables with the shrimp cocktail appetizer. The "steamed" vegetables were swimming in butter and the shrimp cocktail looked like it had been frozen and barely thawed out. The food was flavorful and we'll prepared, but it was clearly sitting somewhere before reaching us as it was not as hot as you would expect. The beer prices were elevated ( 7-8$) not unlike other restaurants, but the pour was not a customary pint but a few ounces less. Not a fan. read more

We had a party of 10 people to have dinner for Christmas. I have eaten there in pass years and they did a great job and the food was great. Last year, 2020 Christmas, we had a horrible experience. My Aunt had a salad and there was two rocks within the salad. One ordered Maryland Crab cakes and let me tell you this!! There was NO Crab in in the cakes, just all breading. I order a t-bone steak with a salad and fries. The salad was only Dandelion Leafs and I did have a rock in that salad. The fries were the best part of my dinner. I order the T-Bone medium rare and when they set that steak in front of me, the whole plate was covered in blood. It was so raw I couldn't eat it. The inside of that steak was so cold it was so disgusting I sent it back and told them to throw it out. This restaurant went down and it seems they don't give a shit. Please save your money and go elsewhere. I rate this place 1/2 stars. They took off 3/4 of the bill. This place sucks anymore!!! read more

Get off of "19" and out of Cranberry, The Springfield Grille is the place you want to be! Tasty selections all across the menu. I'm always going back for the Prime Steak Salad, but their entree selections are top notch. Beer fans should find something to their liking on tap. Fantastic service. the Springfield Grille has fallen in services and quality. it used to be highly dependable a classier above average dining venue . Tonight's visit was disappointing . the quality of the food preparation was Far from the mark. i ordered a special of the filet medallions that were supposed to be medium rare and came to the table as well done and there was no follow up after it was brought to the table either . The server was busy and did manage to keep the water and iced tea coming but no one asked about the food after it was presented. This once reliable establishment may get one more try before its off my list. read more

Had a great experience here with my family. Upscale restaurant with a lodge feel to it. Family friendly and the service was top notch. Both my wife and I got burgers and they were cooked perfectly. The meat was flavorful and we'll seasoned. Overall clientele was a little old to call it a hot spot, but we were there pretty early for dinner. We had a great time despite our unruly kids. It's sort of kid friendly, but we did feel bad when they were making a lot of noise for other customers. We probably would not have been as self conscious at a more casual restaurant. We had crab cakes which were great but small with the appetizer portion of course. I had turtle soup which was a first for me which was served with a shot of sherry. To be honest, I wish the sherry was cooked into the soup as it overpowered the turtle meat that I actually wanted to taste. I had the breaded cod dish which was perfectly fried and tasted amazing.
