I have been going to this dealership for oil change for years but the last time I went I was given a long list of repairs that they suggested I get done. One of them was for an engine oil leak. So I got it repaired but a week later the check engine oil light is on ( it wasn't earlier ) and when I call them to ask why it happened I was told that in the system it was recorded that "I" had reported the oil leak . Overpriced AND Dishonest! They told us that the leaf springs had cracked and needed to be replaced. Also, a noise from our air conditioner was from our A/C unit having disintegrated and so we would have to replace the A/C compressor, a valve and some other part. Total of over $4000 for proposed repairs. In fact, the leaf spring was fine - only the paint was cracked. And, the A/C unit just needed some refrigerant. I admit that I expected to pay a bit more for dealer service, but I didn't expect that they would tell us we needed repairs that we didn't! We won't ever be going back to them! read more

I was lured out to Springfield Ford Lincoln under false pretenses. I was told that they had the exact car I wanted for a better deal than another dealership. When I arrived I was greeted by the very same person that assured me that they had the car I wanted for a better deal. The car they TRIED to give me was not the car I went for but a model lower than the requested car. I then spent the next hour hearing how the deal they were offering was so great. "Not Even Close". What a waste of my time (an hour of travel time there) and an additional hour of trying to convince me to take THIS car. read more

We purchased a 2013 Escape in the summer of 2012. It was under warranty for the first five years. We did have to take it in a good bit during that time period. Although it was a hassle, we didn't pay for the work because of the warranty. There were several recalls that were done also during that time. We also brought it to Springfield for all maintenance work. As the years progressed, the work seemed to get shoddier. We would bring it in with a complaint but when we picked it up, we realized it wasn't fixed properly. It also takes forever to get an appointment. When the car goes in, it takes a longer than usual period for the work to be completed. Now we are faced with replacing the transmission on the car, warranty expired so this exorbitant cost is all on us. I would never recommend buying a car here or taking my car here for repair. read more

I had my first appointment with the service department and it was great! They were fairly busy but they got me in and out in under two hours, which was good for what I needed to be done. They also took the time to walk me through everything to make sure I understood, which was appreciated. I enjoyed the small sitting area which had a coffee and fruit bar along with a good selection of magazines. I had to make a phone call for work and was offered a private area to use. I'll start by saying I leased a Lincoln Continental from a dealer in the Broomall area 3 years ago and had the worst experience of my life. Fast forward to my driving a new Lincoln Continental off the lot today from Springfield Ford Lincoln and I couldn't be happier with my experiences with this dealership in the last 3+ months. I did not have to visit the dealership until I picked up my vehicle today. Everything was conducted professionally and personably by staff via phone, email and text. But most importantly, Rita Feehery, Sales Representative, listened to what I wanted, presented competitive pricing, ordered the car and delivered the car today and spent several hours meticulously explaining and demonstrating all of the features and functions. I was introduced to the Finance Representative, and future Service Representative that will be taking care of my car for the next 3 years and assorted other Springfield Personnel throughout the dealership. Bought a $52000 F-150 here and the truck has been nothing but problems and needing parts replaced. It only has 18,000 miles and is less than 2 years old. Service techs have been useless in diagnosing the latest grinding noises. I have been unsuccessful with Ford corporate as well. Buyer beware. Take your chances buying the Ford F-150 and if you feel like rolling the dice at least take it somewhere else to get fixed when it starts failing. Definitely my first and last Ford!! read more

After getting treated very badly at a nearby muffler repair shop, I take my F-150 only here now. The service department has always been very professional and I've been completely satisfied by the maintenance they have performed on my truck. The only side comment I would make is that you might want to call ahead to schedule "QuickLane" service. I called a few days before bringing the truck in for the "Works" (oil change, tire rotation, fluid checks, etc) which was advertised as a QuickLane maintenance item but was told I needed to make an appointment. I'm glad I didn't just drive up expecting to have it done while I waited. On the plus side, they had it completed within an hour of me dropping it off. read more

I do not know why anyone would purchase a Ford Focus or go to Springfield Ford. My 2017 has been in the Springfield shop since 12 February for an engine problem. It is 6 June. The Ford dealer has had it longer than I could drive it and it has less than 5k miles. I have had no communication since 15 May from Ford. A new car under full warranty and it has been in the shop four months. They could have easily provided a new car by now with what has been paid to Enterprise rental. No contact from the dealer General Manager or Ford. Avoid this car avoid this dealer. read more

The Lincoln service dept. at this dealer stinks. I've just had two awful experiences with them. First on a recall, where they kept my car for 3 days without offering a replacement car. Then this morning it took them 2 1/2 hours to do what they promised in an hour. I'm done with this dealer and Lincoln. My wife lost a days work and my blood pressure is thru the roof. After calling Lincoln in Michigan they were just as bad. After a second call to Lincoln in Michigan and a call back from the local service manager I feel like I'm getting somewhere. Only downside I have is that if I need warranty service, and I will get a rental car covered by Ford, I have to deal with Enterprise and that takes more time and is a hassle. I just had my car in for inspection and maintenance and the service was wonderful once again. I had an appointment and my car received service right away. I was waiting and truly expected to be there for a very long time. I believe it only took two hours. There were no problems and they even had it washed. Way to go again. The only reason why I haven't given them a 5 star rating is because this is the first time I've ever used a dealership for service of my car. It would be nice if they were a little more personable. Left for work in the morning and my Escape was running rough, soon the check engine light came on. I pulled into a shopping mall and looked through the manual to find out what the engine light could mean. It indicated that the engine was misfiring. Since Springfield Ford was just a mile or so away and they have worked on my Escape before I headed there. I went in without an appointment and told the service writer what was going on. He said they were pretty full up and if I could leave it they would try to fit it in. I used their shuttle service to get home and waited. Just a few hours later I got a call. They said I had a bad injector and they have the parts and gave me an estimate so if I wanted them to go ahead with the repair It should be a couple hrs. I said go for it. As told it was a couple hours, they called and I said I would need a ride to pick up the car. They put me on the list and to my surprise about 20 minutes later my doorbell rang and it was the shuttle guy. The estimate given was accurate. In all it went a lot smoother than I had thought at the beginning. To date it runs like a champ. I will keep coming back for sure. read more

Made a service appointment online through springfield ford website. My 2017 f-150, which I purchased from the same dealer is leaking oil. It has 10k miles. Took me two weeks to get an appointment. When I showed up to drop it off on the scheduled date they had no record of me. Service rep said the online schedule does not carry over to his records. Why have a online scheduler? This was a big inconvenience. Because of this experience I will not buy or lease another ford. read more

I'm gonna start this out by saying I'm not a Ford guy but I inherited a Fusion from my Pops. The car recently had issues and I thought "here we go". Called the service manager Jim and explained the symptoms. He diagnosed it over the phone and an appointment was set up. The part was still under warranty. Upon completion of the repair I was informed that another recall item was found and dealt with as well. They also did a fluids check and all of this without a charge. When I did, he reluctantly offered a discount the correct price for the component he replaced. Service dept blows Between Ralph the service writer and Maria they are both profoundly bad at returning calls and completing tasks. I had my truck in for service and Ralph was always beating around the bush on issues I had. My truck was covered under warranty despite it being a 2015 so there should be no problems at all. When you have a problem especially under warranty it should be fixed in a timely manor and they should keep in touch with the customer explaining to them what they did and the progress of there car. I dropped my truck off the night before and I didn't receive a call back all day... So I called them at around 5pm, that's when Maria answered... she sounds like she doesn't know what is going on in this world. The biggest word to describe this terrible operation is "INCOMPITENCE". This service team is horrible. Don't waste your time using them. I know for sure it will be my last. read more

In May of this year (2018) My better half and I decided it was time for my dream sports car, a Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible. We went out on our search, and one dealer we made the mistake of stopping at, the salesman was nice enough, but not that knowledgeable about the car, and when it came time to discuss numbers, then the old switcharoo came out, numbers did not match, and the arrogance, and somewhat threatening mannerisms came out. We couldn't leave fast enough. Once we left that scene, we came upon Springfield Ford Lincoln, and that was a good move! Tom DeVito was our salesman, and he could not have explained every nut, bolt, bell and whistle on the Mustang any better!. Once we hammered out a deal, all the numbers matched, no games were played, and everything was the way it should be, no shady stuff, and Midge in the business office explained everything in great detail, all up front! What a pleasant experience! On the way home from picking up the car, our other car got into a fight with a deer, and lost! A few weeks after that we decided to replace that car as it was a daily driver. So we decided to go right back to Springfield Ford Lincoln and do some shopping! After looking the stock over, and talking once again with Tom DeVito, expressing our want for an all wheel drive for Pocono Mountain Winters, he suggested A Certified Pre-Owned Lincoln, a first for us! He found us a beautiful 2015 MKZ, off a lease, and in spotless condition, for an incredible price. Once again Springfield Ford Lincoln made the buying process enjoyable. On May 18th, 2015 I experienced a powertrain malfunction with my 07 Ford Explorer while driving home in the evening. I took it to Springfield Ford in Springfield Pa. They were gracious enough to look at it the next day. Upon arrival at 7:10AM, I informed the service advisor I needed to get home so that I could work from home. He informed me that the shuttle didn't start until 9:00AM. (How can you service your customers if you can't get them where they need to be prior to 9:00AM?) The 9:00AM shuttle was leaving and I wasn't notified. I stopped the shuttle driver and inquired about transportation. The driver stated he had to take one individual to their job and another individual home. Keep in mind I was there prior to both individuals, so I waited. When the shuttle returned at 10:00AM, I had to wait for the shuttle driver to refuel the vehicle and then pass it off to another driver, approx. 10:30AM. This was unacceptable but I had no other choice at this time. At the end of the day on May 19th 2015, I received a call from the service advisor informing me the mechanic was unable to find any problems. I was informed if it should come up again, just bring it back. So, as I was driving the vehicle home, the check engine light came on and the vehicle cutoff as I attempted to return to the dealership. Once there the service personnel obtained the service codes and would relay them to the service personnel the next day. I left the vehicle there as it was having issues starting. On May 20th, 2015, I received a call from the service advisor informing me they were investigating and that they reset the code. They suggested that it could be the transmission. The vehicle was taken for a test drive. According to the service advisor no problems were found. I was charge a diagnostic fee for the service. I picked up my vehicle that evening and there was no problems driving home. On May 21st 2015, I attempted to drive to work and again the check engine light came on again. I took it back to the dealership for them to investigate. Once again, I was informed that they could not identify the issue . They suggested this time it could be the throttle assembly. At this point it appeared they were just grasping for straws. I picked up the vehicle and drove home. Again, on the way home, the check engine light reappeared and the engine cut off. I have since taken it to another repair shop for diagnosis. Springfield Ford is not the place to take your vehicle for service. I will not use them again. read more

Purchased a Ford Focus 4 years ago- used with 40K miles on it. During the 2 years, I had to get the transmission serviced twice, the speakers fixed, and now I am currently having issues with the power steering and radio. I brought it to the dealer to find out what the issue was, and made it very clear to not do anything to my car unless it was covered under warranty because I would bring it to a family mechanic . Off-course, this is a $1900 dollar electrical module issue not covered under warranty. I sent a tow truck to pick up my car and bring it to my family mechanic and when the tow truck arrived, they would not release my car because there was a balance of $150 just for looking at it. I called to see what the issue was, and they said this was a standard fee for checking the car out. I spoke with 3 people before bringing my car in to confirm NOTHING that cost money would be done to my car unless it was covered under warranty. The fee ended up getting waived (probably because they knew they were wrong) and then I had to pay to tow truck again to go pick up my car. I've had countless issues and they always seem to find a way to not cover the issue under warranty. I know all car warranties have their caveats, but I can't find one nice thing to say about my experience with the Ford Focus. Countless class action lawsuit letters and safety recall notifications come in the mail and no one at this dealer seems to car. I will never purchase a ford again. read more

I work in the accounting department at a car dealership and we buy parts from Springfield Ford on occasion. I noticed that we had been billed twice for the same part. So I called the parts department and a woman named "Al" answered the phone. When I tried to tell her that we'd been billed twice, she immediately cut me off and told me to be quiet and let her speak. Her tone was curt, abrupt, and dismissive and she insisted we hadn't been billed twice without listening to my evidence that we had. In fact, we HAD been billed twice. When she realized the mistake that had been made, she blamed it on someone else, said she'd fix it and hung up the phone with neither a goodbye nor an apology. All in all, I am disgusted by the lack of customer care and even basic courtesy displayed at Springfield Ford after this, especially if "Al" is an example of the kind of person they hire to represent them. read more

I was displeased at first with the outcome of the service I had received, but Jim completely renewed my trust. He stands by all the work done, and if you're not happy he will make it right. I understand things go wrong and people make mistakes. It says a lot about a shop that will admit a wrong and work to make it right. Because of this, I would recommend this shop on its integrity (these days many service centers seem to be lacking in this department). read more

The 2 stars I'm giving is for the whole Springfield Ford experience but the service department deserves 5 stars. Let me explain. I bought my 2002 Explorer in 2007 with 59,000 miles for around $10,000. Today it has a little over 114,000 which means in 9 years I have put around 53,000 on it. During that time span I estimate I have spent over $4,000 in repairs. I will list below. Transmission-$250 deductible (Thank god it was covered under warranty) Fuel pump-$1,300-Fixed by Springfield Ford Check engine light-$425(Twice both by Springfield Ford) Power steering pump-$200(Fixed by another shop) Power steering rack-$1000(Fixed by another shop) Leaking struts-$800(Fixed by another shop) 2 control arm-$600(Fixed by pepboys) 2 tie rods $400(Fixed by another shop) Both rear power windows-$100 (only fixed 1 other still broken) Ball bearings-$600(Not fixed yet but was told it will not pass next inspection) Rear hatch hinges fell off-(Did not fix) Roof leaks (Wont even attempt to fix that) Just a comparison during that time my wife went through a 2005 Civic, a 2008 Civic and now a 2015 Corolla with $0 spent on repairs!!!!! The last trip to Springfield Ford on 5/19 for the second check engine light in 5 months was going to be $225 but after speaking to Jim the service manager and explained my situation he took $100 off. Way to look out for the little guy Jim, good karma is coming your way! As for the sales dept., not sure if you guys knew the car you sold me was a piece of sh%t but if you did you will be getting yours in life. So far, I have no complaints about this dealership. When I first moved to Philadelphia, I was driving an '07 Ford Fusion and brought it here for service...no complaints. I have since sold that car and in March of this year, I purchased a '16 Ford Focus from Steve Ahern. He was very nice polite and helpful throughout the purchase process. He even followed up with emails to make sure that everything was okay and working out well. Fast forward 8 mos and my SYNC system froze up and the BT was stuck "initializing." This required a hard reset. When I called the service department I was set up with an appointment for the following week. I emailed Steve and explained what an inconvenience this would be for me living and working in the city, I would have to take the el and a bus all the way back home from Springfield after I dropped my car off and do the same to retrieve my car, not to mention the fact that I would not have use of my SYNC for an entire week. He forwarded this information on to Jim Nespoli, the service manager who then contacted me, offered to have one of the technicians perform it that same day and promised that if it did not work, he would provide me with a vehicle to drive until the problem was repaired. I came in between 3:30 and 3:45, I was leaving by 4:15pm...with my SYNC working and paired to my phone. Jim came out to personally apologize and give me his business card telling me to contact him if I need anything and Steve followed up with a text to make sure that the problem was corrected to my satisfaction. Although I was originally very irritated that I was having this issue with an 8 mos old car, I have nothing but good things to say about this dealership so far! The issue a. was not their fault and b. "freezes" happen with all electronic equipment. Hopefully, this won't happen again because I LIVE for my SYNC, lol. At the end of the day, I appreciate the fact that this team treated me the way a customer should be treated...valued and not like a nuisance. By now the world knows about the problematic transmissions in certain year Focus and Fiesta cars. Springfield Ford did a 'computer fix' a year or so ago, but my trans recently failed on the road. Had it been high speed highway, it could be extremely hazardous, so I was lucky. Springfield Ford took my Focus in and replaced the clutch and computer module, and it's been running fine since. It's not the dealer's fault this problem arose, but apparently Ford Motor has been owning the problem. Everyone at Springfield Ford has been professional and polite, I never had any problem getting them to try and correct my transmission. Word of caution to anyone thinking of buying ANY car; research it on line first. Had I done that, I would not have bought the Focus in the first place. I should have suspected something when Enterprise Auto Sales sold it off with 36K miles instead of the usual 40K point for rental car sales. Springfield Ford has been fast and friendly, and I would use them again. read more

I own a snow removal company. On February 9, 2014 a tractor trailer drove into my work horse plow truck a Ford F450 causing major mechanical problems. This being one of the snowiest years in history, I needed the truck back in working order as soon as possible. I contacted Springfield Ford and specifically Dan Dellamarine and another Dan who works at the front desk about the importance of getting my truck back in working order as soon as possible. They moved heaven and earth to get me repaired and back on the road the same day I brought it in. Dan D. had to drive around personally to pick up parts that the repair shop needed to get the truck going. As an owner of a company, you always look for personnel that make your company shine and these guys at Ford along with some background guys I didn't meet understood my dilemma and got'er done. This was a fantastic experience. The owners of Springfield Ford are lucky to have such great, understanding group in their workforce. Having guys like this is smart business.
