They are not responsive to messages and have not followed through with service. I have requested to have them call me many times since July without success. Last night I had a power failure, called the 3 phone numbers I had and today there was no return phone call. The generator did not come on do to an ongoing problem with cut off switch and computer board. Avery tried to fix it twice and is definitely not skilled in generator repair. They have a technician named Giancarlo who is excellent and he took my phone call last night @ 9:30 PM. he promised me he would let David, the owner, know today and still no callback. I have had trouble getting return phone calls from the very day I ordered the generator. I definitely would not do business with them but I do have a warranty with the and a service contract and both seem to be worth zero. I am going to contact Generac and see if I can get any satisfaction from them. They should not be selling their generators to SpringGenerator. read more

The tech came to my home was very nice and was able to correct the issue with my generator. I would suggest that the new numbers for the company be given to the established customers and website updated as well. read more

11.5.24 UPDATE. Avery brought back the older battery charger with a replacement and installed the new one for $50, cost of the unit....no labor charge. At 1st he installed with wires running exposed to the outside elements. Told him that was not the way the old was installed. At first, we had a heated discussion about technical capabilities and he un-installed it. Came back 30 minutes later with instructions from his dad, David, the owner, on how to do it. Bottom line.. It now works and David has agreed to handle our repairs himself in the future. I advised him that I had "no confidence" in dealing with Avery. His technical skills and customer care skilks are not ready to address my needs. Normal maintence would be handled by their regular staff...change plugs, air filter and oil. I belive in second chances...not 3rd chances. I hope we can have a happy go- forth point onward. I upgraded from 1 to 3 stars on my post...the other two will have to be earned. I've scheduled (at additional out-of-pocket cost) a 3rd party to come out and review Avery's work later this week to be sure install was done correctly and will not burn out the Generator or new battery. This Generator, though 15 years old has been reliable. 2009 vintage. 11.4. 24 We used to get good service from SPRING GENERATOR. They have been out 4 times and have not followed thru. I had Quality Generator out exactly one time and they got the Generator up and running 1st visit. SPRING wanted to sell me a NEW $14,000 Generator! They, Spring, did not change the oil or plugs or air filter and we have a multiple year maint contract with them. They finally did the service upon my insistence, but they were told to leave the old filter...they did not. They took the old battery charger and I asked before they left if they put everything back the way it was... he (Avery) said "yes"...they did not... he kept the external battery charger which is REQUIRED for my unit to work. He was to return it and install a replacement on Friday, 11/1/24, he did not. He says he called and left a voice message on Friday, 11.1 24...he did not. He now says he will do it today, Monday, 11/4/24. We have been down since Berol. Avery's Dad, the owner, called me and said they were MUCH cheaper than anyone else...he also asked me to retract my post on Avery and his company saying he wanted a satisfied customer....do you think I should... given the pure lack of service and follow thru? read more

They will sale you a service contract and not honor it. I bought a 24kw generator and whole house surge protector that they acted like they didn't know anything about. Once they do the work they won't return any phone calls. Even after I bought a 5 year service plan. That's supposed to be serviced every 6 months. I'm at month 8 now I've been calling for 3 months now. I haven't received a callback yet. I called as a new customer and they returned the call immediately. This is the worst company I have ever worked with in my life and I'm 62 years of age. Please know David Anderson is the biggest crook I've met. He owes me 25K. He has had my money for over a year and still has never installed my generator and won't return my call. And please don't let them work on your property they destroyed all my electrical, sprinkler system, fiber optic and cable lines and left the a 100ft hole uncovered at my house. I have been trying to reach these people for 2 weeks. I finally spoke to Natasha who scheduled a Maintenance Appointment last Friday but no one showed up, tried calling every day since and the VM BOX is full and disconnects. Do not purchase anything from these people there is absolutely no Customer Care or Technicians to come out. My Maintenance Contract is $14.00 a month and I can't stop it because you can't get ahold of anyone and it's not transferable. So do your due diligence on looking into Generator Companies. read more

Do not use! I bought there service/maintenance plan due to an oil leak I have. They sent the first guy out who found the leak but says he could nit fix it and they would sent out a more experienced technician he came out and said he could not find a leak. Hurricane Beryl hits. After 12hours there was oil everywhere. As part of their service plan they ate supposed to return to fix any problems for a year. I have since called them multiple times and have left multiple messages. They have not responded. read more

Don't Hire Spring Generator --------- I hired Spring Generator to install a generator in February of 2001 and paid my deposit at that time, prior to installation I changed to a different generator, when the installation was complete at the end of August 2021 Spring Generator owed me over $1000.00 from the equipment change. I contacted their office and Jessica confirmed that they did owe me money but that David Anderson (the owner of the company) would have to approve the refund. During the past year I have talked to David, Jessica and Veronica on the phone several times, left voice mails, sent emails to David and his office staff but I get nothing but run around. They are no longer returning any communication with me. Do your research and don't rely on fake reviews, there is a reason Spring Generator has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau! read more

I have tried to reach them for 2 months with no success. I made a down payment and haven't had anyone contact me with updates since October. I was scheduled for October install. I called to verify and was rescheduled for December. December is here and almost gone, no update, no one answers the phone and no generator. read more

I am so disappointed with this company. I Was told it would take 9 months for my generator to be installed instead, it was 14 months it was not installed the way the salesperson described with lines running underground, but instead visible along the house. If it was only those two problems, I wouldn't leave this negative review. Unfortunately, the first time my electricity failed-- the generator didn't turn on. The worker made it out later that week to diagnose a faulty part, and 1.5 weeks later I still haven't heard anything about the repair. Do NOT hire Spring Generator; use ANY another Contractor! I hired them April 2021, the installation was scheduled for Aug 2021. In Sept 2021 the installation was pushed to Dec 2021; never heard from them again and never got a returned phone call. In Mar 2022 I cancelled my order & then they said I could have my generator within a week. After the lack of communication & planning, and clearly being willing to bump another client, they eroded all trust & confidence. April 2022 I caught David Anderson (owner) in their shop. He committed to refunding my deposit by May 1st. I have yet to receive my deposit, a returned phone call or text. I have visited their shop 3 times to date (5.10.22) and will continue to do so until I receive my refund. I know of at least 14 other families in the same situation (ghosted after providing deposit, attention after cancelling order, ghosted after trying to collect refund). I will be contacting Generac this week and then other entities as required if my refund is not received. read more

Spring Generator is unscrupulous. Our family purchased a Generac stand by generator in 2020. The purchase contract included a 10 year Generac extended warranty (a $995 value). In May of this year David, the owner of Spring Generator, instructed me to provide him with a copy of the purchase contract, which I did. He promised to contact Generac to get the warranty added to the account. Since then David has not responded to calls or a text, nor does Generac have a record of David's call to resolve or the original extended 10 year warranty. DO NOT give Spring Generator your business. After failing to meet commitments, they will ghost you by not communicating. read more

I bought my Generac 22KW generator, with 10 year Generac extended warranty, and 6 yr maintenance plan, from Rich Gillette (Salesman) in 2020. We did have a 6 month wait due to storms in Louisiana... and Generac was giving priority service to them. We were ok with that since nothing was pressing. Had a few maintenance calls and check ups over the next yer or so. SKIP TO TODAY... cannot get them on the phone. They do not answer messages or return calls. Nor are they responding to my e-mails requesting required service for our generator. Seems to me that they are out of business. Needless to say having spent $2180.00 on these plans... Im pretty upset as well. I am now thinking about small claims court. I have sent e-mails to 'office@springgenerator.com' and to the owner David Anderson at 'David@springgenerator.com' and called their "direct line" several; times, having to leave message.... no returned calls. The types of services outlined and products presented made me want to move forward with Spring Generator. However, Rich's failure to simply respond to my text messages and phone calls is a huge deterrent....especially when I am ready and willing to spend $20,000+ on a generator. It has been 3 days since I reached out to Rich regarding payment (1/2 down & the remaining 1/2 when the job is complete), but I have yet to receive a text or call. Rich's negligence helped make my decision to go with another company that much easier. We will actually be purchasing three generators from Grasten. read more

First off, they scheduled a time and just didn't show up or even reach out at any point. Had to leave a message. Scheduled a second time for the afternoon and they showed up in the evening after 6pm while I was out and proceeded to take apart my driveway gate which is now malfunctioning. Again, I had to reach out to schedule them AGAIN. When I called they asked if I was ready for maintenance. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE GENERATOR YET. On top of that, I have solar panels and they were disconnected because they left my breakers off. The workers were supposed to train me and they said, "Oh, we don't know anything about that." I would NEVER recommend this place. They seem to have no idea on how to properly give customer service but they have no problem asking for your money. read more

The power is currently out where I live after Hurricane Laura yesterday, and our generator we had put in this summer is working perfectly. I am so glad we did this project! The company was less expensive than our other bids, and everything went smoothly for us. I am absolutely thrilled to be in a cool house with internet and refrigerator right now. Totally worth it for the tropical weather we get here occasionally. read more

Be Warned! Like others, I am currently out almost $6,000 deposit for 15 months! Same story about installing in 3 months which turned into a year, then couldn't do it according to the salesperson's contract, won't refund or even speak to me after emails, calls and certified letters. Going to small claims court, but I may be way down the line for any restitution. read more

This company ripped me off. They sold me a generator back in August of 2021 for $44,000 and said it would be installed within three months. Here it is 5/13/2022 and it still has not been installed. I have contacted everyone at her company including the owner and no one will call me back. My only recourse at this point is to sue them. read more

I ordered a generator on August 20 and gave them a deposit of $4,500, they informed me that the install would be in October. When I called back in September I was told that due to the hurricanes that my install woul be in December. I have called them numerous times to get an install date and no one will return my calls.
