Gave it 2 stars because I usually enjoy Spring Creek but the service has completely fell off. I came for a to go order at around 4:30 but the to go cashier decided to help the door dash person before me when the door person came in after me. I refuse to tip or pay anyone that will throw me to the side like that. read more

Not fond of a franchise eatery but it smells good outdoors so we popped in. With recent oral surgery I asked for something soft, the turkey was recommended and no they would not allow me to have a child's plate, seriously, meh. The sauce had a vinegar tinge and did not make the meat better. Am not crazy about serve yourself biz, the sides which are open to all germs in the air. The soft rolls ok. The fried okra is not my mother's but is the closest fried okra within 20 miles so I ordered it. Wanted cobbler but had not noticed there was such until we left. Next time, if there is a next time, I am going for the cobbler only. Music so loud that we had to sign to one another. Did not like the Luby's vibes, no staff person to help on the line, must have been hiding in the back of the house. My $3.79 turkey was nothing special. My SO had the brisket plate and was not overwhelmed with the taste or texture. Table was clean and we saw no place to drop off our trays so we left a tip for the table cleaner and hit the road. Went to the new Spring Creek BBQ in Richmond. Love the food and staff. The staff was so friendly and inviting.

The last couple of times we have been the manager, I believe his name is Dick, greeted us as we came in. Our visit a month or so ago he stopped and talked to us for a while. I have to say this is one of the best operated Spring creek Barbecues in the Houston area. All of the employees are very courteous and the food is good. This is our 2nd time here. Both experiences have been outstanding. The staff is very nice and accommodating. If you don't receive what you want, they are more than happy to change it out, you just have to talk to them. The baby back and St. Louis ribs are great. This was my first time here due to visiting my family for the holidays and let me just say this...AMAZING BBQ! The restaurant itself is so clean and organized with super friendly/helpful staff! Having a hungry troop at home I placed my order when I arrived, though the available selection was not their usual assortment, the staff cheerfully and quickly served me up a feast to take home. The brisket and chicken are good, they need to completely switch from whatever sausage they're using right now to something different. The staff is friendly but I was picking up a to go order one day and while waiting I saw the girl touch a customers food when showing her the order. I like that you confirm the order it correct but please do not touch the food without gloves. Rudy's is better on I-10 and Mason and worth the drive from Katy / Fulshear. If you don't want to drive then Dickey's by HEB is also better. read more

Awful customer service provided from the beginning. Asked if salad was part of the two sides for lunch special and the gentleman said yes. After choosing my meal he said it was an extra charge if I wanted it. The manager walked away after giving my daughter her sides. The lady at the cash register (8/18 @12:15)was extremely rude. I told her I did not get to choose my sides since the guy walked away. She said "well we are extremely busy". There was a group of cops eating and two other families. Really? You don't have time to give me my sides? I have never experienced this in a restaurant. They are many other options. The owners need to take a look at their employees. One of our favorite things to do when headed on our normal vacation outing to Texas to see the kids is to hit as many good BBQ joints as possible. You just can't beat authentic Texas barbecue. Traffic was terrible going thru Houston so we decided to stop in Katy Texas at the Spring Creek BBQ! The food was good, not great. I found that my sides were lukewarm. I can't quite say what wasn't exactly right with this barbecue, but it just wasn't great. So the search goes on for great barbecue as we head thru Texas. The price here was a little high for lunch. But I guess that can be expected in a town like Katy Texas. They did bring by warm fresh baked bread on a regular basis. The servings were plentiful. I would eat there again. But I don't know if I travel to go eat there again. It was OK. Parking was easy. They are located right off the interstate. They except most credit cards. Our search for Grayton Texas BBQ goes on!
