New Leaf completed a thorough inspection (they were actually sent by the seller), provided a fair bid, and were gracious enough to offer a payment plan. When they came to do the work over the course of three days, they were hard working and cleaned up after themselves. One of my favorite things, though, was overhearing someone telling the group these encouraging things like "diamonds are made from pressure!" Just thought that a company that supported their people was a company everyone should support. Our HVAC contractor was also super impressed with them! Would 1000% hire again. I swear our house immediately got warmer because of the insulation!

My personal opinion is this product is much better than the epoxy coatings that are available. Overall, very happy with TerraFirma and Vuba Stone.

Seth and his team evaluated our situation and knew what to do, based on their extensive experience with similar issues in Vancouver. The situation was caused by careless, even incompetent contractors who have been allowed to do this kind of thing all over Vancouver. In a little over two days, with the initial work done during heavy rain, they got rid of the leftover organic material, put back good soil, tamped it down into a gentle slope. Then they smoothed it all out and seeded the area and where they had to access through the front yard. Our grass has begun coming up but of course, with the winter it won't be in until spring. The cost was reasonable and fair and I would hire them again in a minute. I highly recommend Seth and his team if you have any excavation needs.

Byron has a rare team of dedicated individuals who are hard working, consistently on time and really nice people to have at your home. Our project wasn't small by any means. We had a full excavation of our basement perimeter to waterproof the exterior. Interior sump pump solutions didn't gel with me at all and I was glad to find a Portland company that didn't want to take the easy option. I really cannot say enough about Byron and his team. They didn't just meet my expectations. That went that little bit further. Good job team and thank you!!! If your looking to have Byron and his team conduct any form of work for you. This company really stands behind their work. During the winter season after we did our…read morewaterproofing project, we discovered there were a few areas of our deck that weren't draining properly. We were really impressed by how Rock Solid handled it. Last week, a year after the original project, they sent out a crew to resurface, reslope, retexture and recolor the deck. They really demonstrated a high level of accountability and integrity. Not all contractors would have done this. We're very pleased with our experience. We've had a chance to meet many of their team members. This time, Devin brought Hannah, Spencer and Brody. They were all really hard working, and demonstrated a very quality conscious attitude. Our experience was that they really want the customer to be happy. We were grateful for their efforts. There are many different ways that a company can handle a situation where something goes wrong. Rock Solid really hit the ball out of the park on this one. They were really great to work with. 5 Stars!

I contacted several waterproofing companies, all of whom sent out estimators. I found Mikael of Rock Solid to be very personable. He took all the Covid precautions and got a bid back to us within a few days. It was much better value than that of his competitors. The office called to schedule the work and it was done within two days. All the workers were pleasant and efficient, and the team leader even returned at the end of the second day to repair something his team had neglected to finish--much to my surprise, as I hadn't seen anything amiss. They left the work site very clean. The proof of their work is that during the heavy rains of the past few days, the basement is as dry as a bone! I would highly recommend this company if you have recurrent problems with basement leaks.

I had a sketchy company do work on my crawlspace a few years ago and they've since fallen off the face of the earth. I was nervous to have a new company come out and 1) find something wrong and 2) try to sell me on things I didn't need. Michael H. with Better Basements and Waterproofing was honest - what was done by the former company wasn't up to his standards, however, it's fine for now and we can probably wait a few years before having any work done again. He also said we could use Better Basements and Waterproofing for sump pump maintenance (since we can't use the original company), however, he reassured me there isn't a binding yearly contract and I can just call if I'm interested (no need to agree this moment). I appreciated how honest and thorough he was in his inspection and in his explanations of everything. I've had a lot of companies over the years try to sell me on things I don't actually need. Michael didn't, and because of that, I actually will probably use Better Basements and Waterproofing in the future if I do need work done.
