We hired Ninja Painting during the winter time after we had popcorn texture removed from our ceilings by a local abatement company. Our intention was to texture and paint ourselves but our home was left in a condition where professionals were definitely needed. Our entire house was left with primarily damaged drywall and shredded paper. We had decommissioned fixtures that needed to be covered too. Darren and the Ninja Painting crew effectively rescued us from the experience we had with the abatement company. We gravitated toward working with Darren because of how attentive and flexible he was with our situation. He was extremely professional and on top of communication when coordinating the job from beginning to end. The team worked efficiently while maintaining detailed work with care. We love our ceilings and this company absolutely exudes the passion they have for their craft. Ninja Painting's competitive pricing does not compromise their quality of work. We will definitely be connecting again for future home improvements. read more

Two bathroom ceilings needed to be painted. For some reason, the knockdown texture was flaking off after roughly 9 years. Darren from Ninja Painting (NP) was very quick in responding and provided a competitive quote. He patiently explained the process that was very helpful to understand the scope of what needed to be done. Darren completed the project on time (took 2 days) and we are very happy with the finish. Darren also gave me some pointers on how to touch up a few chips/nail pops. I highly recommend NP and will surely reach out to them for future needs. read more

Darren is THE painting Ninja. He is really on the ball when it comes to customer care too. He painted a very large but cramped area on a very hot day. Amazing! read more

I was so lucky to find Darin and Ninja Painting. He is excellent at his job and easy to work with. The cost was very reasonable. I have no negative comments because everything was perfect. I recommend him without any hesitation. He painted the outside of my house and a shed. He also did some repairs and cleared out the wasp nests. read more

*To be clear this review is merely regarding the conversation/interaction I had with this company--not on their actual painting work, not a rant and it is truthfully what happened* I reached out to them because I need an exterior house painter and some exterior work done on my home and am trying to get some estimates. They had good reviews and solid examples of the work done so I contacted them through Yelp letting them know what I was looking for and asking for a cost estimate. I was unable to attach my house pictures to the Yelp request so Darren gave me his email and I was able to send them to him that way. They are busy so it took a bit of time between emails, understandable. In short spring/summer/fall is their busiest time and because I live in Vancouver he was unwilling to give me even a price range for my job. He advised that I use a Vancouver based painting company (they apparently only service Portland which should have been clear on their website and on yelp, which it wasn't)!! To say I was annoyed is an understatement, but painting companies are a dime a dozen and I can wait to find the right company who actually wants my business--I am in no rush just trying to get some estimates. So if you are considering this company you are going to need to know a few things: * they DON'T WANT your job if it's in WASHINGTON, Portland is ok, I guess? ( I was told to "get a VANCOUVER based company"....I quite literally live just past the 205 bridge-- I cannot get any closer to PDX and still be in WA) * they may or may not give you a price range even if you ask for one and give pictures. ( But the owner will send you an email stating you have been unkind in your review, and will tell you they are too busy to do drive by estimates, even though you never asked for one and had already sent pictures....) * You are really going to be scratching your head wonder how they got all those amazingly happy customers after your interaction. * After you put your own honest, personal Ninja Painting experience in a review, expect be called "unkind" and that your interaction was a "rant" and that you sounded "irritated" in your emails. *And lastly, this guy needs a secretary to keep track of the requests made of his company so he doesn't get requests confused. There is a very simple way to deal with too much work and it goes like this: "Hey "possible client" we are very busy at the moment as this is our busiest time of the year. We are currently booked out until ****** Pls leave your name, information, and house pictures. If we get openings in our schedule in the future I will contact you to see if you still need assistance with painting." Very simple and polite--this should allow you to avoid all this unpleasantness in the future with others. Customer service is important. read more

There are 2 painters I always recommend, and only 2 I can rely on fully. Ninja painting is on the top of that list! Darren is great and so knowledgeable, if you need advice or just want to get done what you have dreamt up, call Ninja Painting! read more

Darren aka the Ninja was an awesome help to help us with a painting quote. He took the time to examine each area and make recommendations. His price was extremely competitive. He also was extremely helpful in helping us refine our strategy to take off the existing wallpaper. Extra props go out to Darren for providing us with used paint samples. Reduce, reuse and recycle!! Would definitely recommend him. read more

This company was hired to rechaulk and paint the trim after floors were replaced. Taping is a tedious job, but it was done perfectly. The finished job looks as nice as when it was first done. They also are pleasant and tidy. I highly recommend them! read more

Ninja Painting did a great job painting my guest bedroom. It was a relatively small job but Darren didn't act that way. He got exactly the paint color I wanted, had lots of good advice, took great care with the preparation and the final result is exactly what I was hoping for. Plus he scheduled the job within a week after I contacted him. I'm really happy with how it turned out. read more

Ninja Painting - Painters Near Me

I can't rave enough about Ninja Painting, Darren (owner) and Ann (painter)! I wanted 2 accent walls done in my house and I called about 5 companies on a Thursday. Not only did Darren respond promptly with my request and a fair quote but he was able to get a painter to come do my wall the following Monday! Ann came promptly and was very professional. She took great care to protect my floors and furniture and her work was meticulous. She was great to chat with and even helped us with making sure the colors we picked worked well with the wallpaper we were deciding on. Thank you Ninja paining. I will definitely call you back for my future projects. read more

The Ninja Painters came in with a quote 25% as high as the other guys. That's right, one-fourth as expensive. I couldn't afford the other guys without taking out a loan so we hired Ninja and hoped for the best. Well, it was the best! They were a pleasure to work with and the house looks great. read more

Good luck even getting these guys to show up let alone call you back. Wasted my time, never showed up, then gave me an estimate sight unseen for 4x what I hade the work done for by someone else. Get multiple estimates and then Don't waste you your time with this company. read more

I had Ninja Painting come give me a bid on some painting that I needed done. Darren was amazing. He asked me so many detailed questions about the work I needed, he emailed me after the fact to give me more information. He gave me suggestions that were in my budget but that would make a huge difference on the outcome of the painting. I was suprised about the time and care he put into my project, and his attention to detail is more than impressive. read more

I have used Ninja for several projects with complete satisfaction. From the price to communication, I won't use any other painter. Excellent attention to detail, they have loads of experience And take pride in their work. read more

We recently bought a house and the inside was in dire need of painting. We contacted five different companies and Ninja was the most affordable for what we were looking for. It was one third the price of some other bids! Darren and his team were fantastic from start to finish. They used top of the line paint and worked around other contractors as we got the house in order. They even texted a week after they were finished asking if we had noticed anything they missed and needed to come back to touch up. They even put up with our 1.5 year old babbling all over the place and trying to steal their tools! We really enjoyed working with Ninja and will be using them when it comes time to do the exterior of our house! read more

Darren, was a life saver for me....I needed to have the front of my store painted and knew it was going to be expensive, so I talked to Darren and he gave me a great bid that I could afford. He came and painted before I opened the store each day and did an excellent job( and very clean). I will totally use him for my home and my business whenever I need painting done. Thanks, Darren read more

I am so impressed with Ninja Painting. Darren quoted me over the phone after I had told him square footage and sent him pictures. They were able to squeeze me in the very next day because I had a time sensitive paint job that needed to be done. Darren kept me up to date via text which made it so easy as I have a small baby. Anthony showed up at right at 8 am and started taping and covering curtains/furniture. Darren and Anthony did a great job, the price was more than reasonable, and everything was picked up behind them. Anthony was at my house until 5 pm painting and even with the long day, he was very pleasant. Darren text me the next day asking how everything was looking! And it still looks great. I know who I'm calling for all my future painting needs! read more

Darren is great to work with. Very generous with his painting talents. He has done a couple few small jobs for me and my business where we scuffed up the paint in a customer's home on accident. Amazingly, he was even able to match the color in an old (30+ yrs) ceramic tile floor with a few tiny chips in it and fill it in in such a way that any flaw disappeared to the naked eye. Great guy. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend! read more

We had Darren do some trim painting as part of a flooring job. He took the time to really do the job right, including caulking between the spaces between the trim and the wall so everything had a professional look. There was a lot of trim and he didn't rush the job (even though I am sure it was tedious). Really happy with his effort and the job turned out wonderful. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again. read more

I hired Ninja Painting to paint the inside of my home. Darren and team did an excellent job. Darren helped me pick out and evaluate the color before investing in paint (he has some great techniques for putting samples on the wall without actually painting the wall). His team moved fast but paid careful attention to detail, especially in my kitchen and foyer which had lots of corners and high ceilings. In the end, the job looked great! There were no messes, foot-prints, or any signs of painters. Just a professional paint job and a black business card on the counter. Very "ninja" indeed! :) read more

Darren and his crew repainted part of our 100+ year old home in Irvington. He did an excellent job stripping away the old paint and matching it with new paint. He also did some trim work as well. The house looks so much better now! read more

Here's the thing about Darren, besides being a wonderful painter, he took the time to teach us how to pick colors and get an idea of what the walls would look like, without actually having to paint them. Amazing! Truly Ninja work! Highly Recommended. read more

We hired Darren to repaint the basement of our home a few days before New Year 2016. Darren's bid didn't come in at the lowest (he was second), but we were really impressed with his professionalism and helpfulness during the consult/estimate that we decided to go with him. We're glad we did! Darren completed the project when he said he would, was detailed in his work and was always upfront about costs and any potential problems that would require additional work. Darren arrived for work when he said he would and cleaned up after himself before he'd leave everyday. read more

Darren and his crew painted my 2400+ sqft house right before we moved in. We were in a hurry to move in and opted for them to paint while we moved in. They were SO courteous and respectful of scheduling, they helped us do a walk through of blemishes to list for our Landlord! Considering how much painting was involved, they had a fast turnaround, very clean, and great finishes. Great Job and Thanks again Darren! read more

Darren was very helpful with all my interior painting! He obviously has experience and it shows in his work. I appreciate all that he did!

Darren and team did an amazing team painting a stairway, foyer, spare bedroom, and office/library. Great attention to detail, talented brush work, and reasonably priced. Most important, Darren was fair, responsive, and super nice to work with. Highly recommend! read more

Used Ninja Painting to paint our small 12-unit condo building. They had to push back the start date a couple of times, but Darren was responsive and communicated these delays in advance and with professionalism. Summer is a busy time for painters and contractors, so I found it completely reasonable. Once started, Ninja painting did their best to accommodate the schedules of the residents in the building. The finished product looks great. Darren and crew performed a final walk around after completing the project and did a few minor touch-ups. The cost of the entire project was very reasonable and we did not have any surprises with extra costs. I would certainly recommend Ninja Painting! read more

While I haven't officially hired Ninja Painting yet, I definitely will when I need painters. 2 times now, I thought I needed painters to put a fresh coat on all interior walls of a large rental unit, and then an exterior fence: I decided to power out the interior painting myself with my husband because of other unexpected repairs to that rental that gobbled up the funds we had to work with; and the exterior fence ended up getting bundled in with a different contractor. Both times, the Ninja Painting dude was available, friendly, and followed up to make sure everything wrapped up as needed. He even gave me his discount code at Miller Paint! Saved me $40! The customer service I received, before even being a paying customer has been so excellent that I honestly feel bad that I didn't hire him. 3rd times a charm though--next time I need painters I WILL hire you!! Thanks Ninja Painting! You're the best! read more

Darren is great. He estimates accurately and tells you what does and does not need to be done. He is great at communicating. His rates are very competitive.
