First the good - The main painter on the job (Lucio) was a conscientious and hard worker. He clearly cared about his work and did a good job. (Thank you Lucio). The main problem - Our house has cedar shingles. The rear of the house is painted, the front is stained - and we wanted to keep the staining at the front. We pointed out to their estimator that some of the stained shingles has caulking marks on them - he told us the stain would cover the marks. He was wrong, but we didn't find that out until they'd finished painting the rear of the house. The team did their best to cover the caulking marks with touch up marker - they look ok from the street, but are very obvious close-up. Had the estimator told us that the stain wouldn't cover these marks, we would have had the whole house painted a single color - but in a different color than we chose for just the rear. There were also some smaller problems - - The quote stated that a porta-potty would be provided - it wasn't. Presumably the quoted price included this. - The quote stated that plants would be covered to protect from spraying - the rhododendron bushes in front of my house now have paint-spattered leaves, and look like they might not survive. - Some of the painters who helped out for just small part of the job weren't very careful - two of my path lights were broken (which they tried to hide by balancing the broken lights on their stands), and someone ripped most of the branches off one rhododendron bush instead of tying them back. - A petrol stain was left on our front path where they refueled their pressure washer. I pointed out these issues to the project manager. I'm very disappointed that no-one from the iTech office has contacted me to apologize, and I can only assume that they don't really care. Therefore I would not recommend them. read more

My parents used ITech for some interior painting (which looked fantastic!) and gave us a referral. I'm so glad they did. We had such a great experience with ITech from start to finish. Ryan spent 30-45 minutes at our house looking it over from top to bottom in great detail prior to giving us an estimate. Lana was excellent at communicating their timeline for starting and completing the project (which was a big job!). The crew that came out each day were super friendly, and extremely professional. Izzy and Jesus (and the rest of their team) did superlative work - the house looks absolutely amazing. We couldn't be happier! The cost of the project came in as estimated (a bit less, actually). They aren't the cheapest (nor was the price outrageous), but the work was top notch. This is LOOOONG overdue and well deserved. We've used iTech Painters for 2 big projects. The first was back in 2013 (I can't believe it's been almost 6 full years). We had them repaint the entire exterior of our house. The transformation was overwhelming and STILL looks great nearly 6 years later. The crew was fast, professional, accurate, friendly and did an amazing job cleaning up when the project was done. The price was extremely fair especially for the size of the job they did. The 2nd time we used them was last year. I did not hesitate to reach out to them after how fantastic they were on our first project. There were a few minor communication hiccups, but everything got resolved. We did a full remodel on our kitchen. Our kitchen is right next to (and runs into) our "great room". We wanted to do 2 different colors to separate the rooms and have them feel like separate spaces. After doing a lot of research we found how we wanted to transition the 2 rooms, as well as add some additional color. To say they did a fantastic job is an understatement! From Emma in the office to Ryan and his crew with the initial bid, project and follow up....we couldn't be more pleased. A year later and we're still thrilled at the work they did. I read about Itech painters on Nextdoor. I thought the reviews were a little over the top, bc they had many reviews and all were 5 star. I would like to share our experience. Who does this? In the morning when prep work began, a young employee of ITech by the name of Wilson, knocked on our door..He Just wanted to say good morning as he was about to begin work. Then, the project manager Izzy, takes over and tells me exactly what will be done and asks me if I had any questions. He says that, his job is to see that I am a happy client. Believe me, I was. There is also a bonus to using this company besides having the best employees. You can use their paint specialist who will come out and work with you by helping you choose the color and trim for your home, no extra cost. I'm certain the owner of ITech, knows just how important it is to have employees like Izzy, Wilson and Lauren who are out in the field representing a fine company such as this one. In hindsight there are three components to painting a house: contractor, decisions (color, paint type, siding repair) and application. We chose ITech. We had done some homework on our own, on the decisions. Through ITech staff we learned about the life of siding, the best type of paint for the condition of my siding, and help in choosing the desired color from 2500 choices. In my discussions with Ryan, he made suggestions, from his experience, for the type of paint for the best outcome along with the reasons. The end result is perfect. I gained and have compete trust in the staff with an outcome better than we had expected before starting. The application was professional and friendly . I became part of the team. The whole crew from ITech was amazing -- Lana, Ryan, Emma, Izzy, and Jorge, sorry if I left anyone out. They painted our interior about 10 months ago and we just had them do our exterior a month or so ago. So for the exterior, we had them replace any dry rotted siding, they patched, prepped, and painted. Unlike some other companies, we were able to get scheduled ASAP thanks to Lana, she's in top of it and replies right away when I have any questions. Color consulting is included at no extra charge and if I could gush about Emma all day, I would. Picking out the right shade of white is the most difficult of colors because there's a hundred shades of it in a paint swatch fan, but Emma the designer was able to walk with me through it, then we added a pop of color on the front door. Painters, Izzy and Jorge, made sure that we were satisfied with the repairs, prep, and painting every step of the way. On top of being stellar, ITech was surprisingly the most affordable of the 4 quotes we got for the exterior. I highly recommend them and have already to a friend and to our neighbor. read more

It was recommended that we do some touch up painting on the trim around our house as it would make our house "pop". We are in the process of getting our house ready to put on the market and we have a very short time frame to get our house ready to go live. I reached out to Itech as well as another painting co. to get quotes on the work we needed done. I called Itech on a week day and received a call back the very same day. I spoke with the team there and they were very helpful and offered great customer service. They came out Monday morning, 8:00am, on time. The consultation was short and to the point. We received a quote from them that very day w/ the cost breakdown, w/ pictures. The second quote we received from the other company was lower than what Itech originally offered. I reached out to Itech to see if they would match the other quote and they did w/ out question. I confirmed the quote w/ Itech and they were at our house days later and got the job done in about 1.5 days. Everything looks great! I would highly recommend them for any painting job. We used iTech painting several years ago for interior paint, referred them to other family members, and hired them again recently to for a large interior and exterior job. The interior job included changing out all trim and doors to white and painting interior walls. The quality of work is fantastic and they went so far beyond the scope of the job. They were respectful of my napping two year old, and took great care to make sure it was clean and wonderful. (we have vinyl siding) They returned a week later, as promised, and with great communication in the meantime, to paint our facia boards, under our eaves and all of our gutters. We recently had the exterior of our home painted by Itech, Ivan and Soloman did a great job prepping our home, lots of caulking and primer to our old T1-11 siding and were very respectful of our property. 2 coats later it looks great, better than we anticipated. They were so quiet we didn't even know they were here half the time and they worked steadily throughout the day even though we chose one hottest weeks of the year. We also had some dry riot repair done and they were careful to show us places that might need repair that we were not aware of. We also have to thank Ty our estimator, who answered all our emails right away and kept us in the loop throughout the whole process. The cost was mid range and very reasonable. read more

Requested and received a prompt response for a quote to paint a portion of my house. Not only was their quote competitive, but they were able to use a color match tool to determine paint colors as I only had 2 of the 3 colors from the previous owner. The scheduler provided target dates, then confirmed the week prior, and answered all of my questions in between. The paint crew not only arrived the day they were scheduled, but we're a few mins early, and stayed late to finish the job in 1 day instead of 2. They removed the garage door hardware, and address numbers, and moved furniture and decorations that I'd overlooked out of the way. They scraped anything that the power washing didn't handle the day before, and the paint job was perfection. They prepped and took care to cover my front door and stone work, in addition to using oil based primer to cover some horrible staining due to vandalism. The cherry on the sundae was putting all of the hardware and furniture/decorations back, and leaving the leftover paint in the garage for me. This company drove from Hillsboro to Happy Valley to not only provide a free quote but didn't overcharge to paint my house when others told me I was too far out of their service area. I would highly recommend using these folks, they're a class act. read more

ITech Painters did an awesome job painting (and transforming) the exterior of our house, which was last painted over 20 years ago. We received bids from 5-6 painters, and we found iTech to be very competitive in terms of price, and their bid was detailed and professional. Ryan initially came out and walked around the house in order to put together the bid. He made a very thorough list of everything we had questions about or needed done, including cleaning the masonry of our chimney, which was completely black with soot. We also liked the fact that iTech Painters back-brushed the first coat with rollers/brushes to help with adherence of the paint. Another reason we chose iTech was that they offered a color consult with Emma at Olive Wood Color Consulting. It was so helpful (and fun) meeting with Emma to pick out the house colors. The painting crew did an excellent job power washing, caulking, masking, painting, and clean up. The chimney cleaning was amazing and looks brand new. Itech was recommend to me by the paint guys in the Miller Paint store. Ryan came out to give me a free estimate. He then sent out two guys the next week to paint my stairwell, hall, and bathroom. It took them a day and a half. The guys were friendly, professional, and very hard workers. They brought the paint, all tools, and prepped the area well. They barely took a break & they were very careful and thorough. I really appreciate that they cleaned up after themselves completely. It is a pain when the workers you hire leave a mess. I am surprised by how often that happens! Ryan also followed up with me after the job was complete. He was checking to make sure his guys did the job right. These guys are probably not the cheapest available, but they really did a fantastic job. read more

He offers a designer to come out and help pick colors, which we chose in 15-30 minutes. The colors are beautiful and classy. The crew showed up early and left late and they were so detailed in their work. Everything was picked up and clean. Ryan kept in touch and let us know the crew wouldn't be out one day because of rain and when they would return. He has 3 crews, which when looking for a paint contractor is so important. This is a long overdue review for Ryan and his team for the interior trim (door, baseboard and windows) and front porch painting they did on my 2300 sq. foot house back in June. From beginning to the end, iTech Painting folks all exhibited a high level of professionalism -- from Ryan, the initial contact, to the estimator, to the the painters. Similar to another Yelp reviewer's experience, at least 50 percent of the painters I contacted didn't even have the courtesy to contact me back; every single painter was recommended by someone either via a neighbor at NextDoor, my neighbors on my street, and colleagues. Among the ones who responded, roughly another 50 percent showed up at my house and then didn't send me a bid -- a big waste of everyone's time; this was really puzzling because when I contacted each painter, I made clear what the job entailed, the size of my house, etc. Ryan responded to my email inquiry within 24 hours. When the estimator was running late, Ryan sent me a message to alert me. The painters were always on time, and their estimated end date was accurate. When I identified minor spots that needed touching up before they finished the job, they touched them up. When the job was done, the crew cleaned everything up and there was no surprise "extra fee" at the end; the price on the estimate was the price at the end. (I've had a previous PDX painter do that to us -- seeking in the middle of the job hundreds of extra dollars for so-called unexpected additional time to do the job right.) When some areas got chipped soon after the job was finished (e.g., edge of the front door, edge of porch steps), and when I alerted them to other minor spots that needed touching up (that I didn't notice earlier) after I had paid in full, they scheduled a return trip to take care of all that. This is truly a customer-service oriented painting business. With regard to the price, the front porch price was the highest of the estimates I received (and higher than what a previous handyman charged); but I just wanted it done at the same time so I went with it given that it was a small percentage of the overall job. With regard to the interior painting price, the estimate fell in the middle of three prices I secured. Given my experience with iTech, the next time I have a paint job, they will be my number one choice as long as the price is in reasonable range of the other bids I get--even if the amount is the highest. There's something to be said for the peace of mind that comes with dealing with a business that (1) values my time as well as theirs, (2) have folks who are responsive and professional, (3) have a painting crew who does a great job and who follow through on those oops areas that need fixes, and (4) keeps its word when it comes to the agreed up price. read more
