I don't know what it is with the Georgian food, but this place was absolutely fantastic. The bread…read morewas delicious. The beef stew meals were delicious. The chicken stew and the eggplant appetizers were all fantastic. The french fries and mushrooms with delicious but most of all the staff was super super friendly and a pleasure to meet. They even took us in the back to see their bread oven, which was unique and so cool. Great place, awesome people to be around and delicious food.

I went with 45 women from our development. When you walk into the restaurant, we were greeted warmly from the owner, Katie. Her mom does the cooking and she has a baker who gets there at 5:00 am to start making the breads. Many of their counter displayed - jarred items come directly from their home country. We started out with a savory, fresh salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and thinly sliced red onions. We were served, their classic cheese pie, Khink Ali, which is like a wonton, with 3 types of ground meat, eggplant, beef stew, chicken kabobs and a most delicious dessert. They make everything fresh for you. Nothing was prepared ahead of time. While we were there, Katie, had a video of her country and was explaining pieces of it. This was very intimate, since we took up the whole restaurant. While we were there, people did come in to purchase bread, which is what they are known for, along with other items to take out Well worth stopping in, look around and have a snack of something

They bring the taste of Sicily to Monmouth County - so good that you need to check it out for yourself. With imported cold cuts straight from Italy, and fresh Italian pastries from Brooklyn, I knew I was in for a treat! I tried the Al Pacino (#4) which features Genoa salami, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, arugula, tomatoes, and roasted garlic pesto. Each bite took me to an Italian paradise. All of the bread is made fresh in house, including the amazing focaccia that the sandwich was made with. Not only was it delicious but it was also huge and very filling! Anthony takes great pride in his food, his shop, and his heritage. It is evident in the nods to Sicilian culture throughout the restaurant, and the way he treats all his customers like family. He was kind enough to share a sample of the fresh mozzarella (which was UNREAL) with myself and some other customers while my sandwich was being prepared and that's when I knew I'd be well taken care of. I cannot wait to come back and enjoy more of what they have to offer!

As we waited for our order, we chatted with Anthony and learned that there are no shortcuts here. They do everything the authentic way by importing their cold cuts, using freshly baked bread, and offering a nice selection of desserts and coffee. Once we got home, we devoured the Gandolfini panino and cannoli. I can now say that that Mambo is not the real deal. We will definitely be back and can't recommend them enough
