I once liked this place, but I went in once and noticed condensation all over where the food was held. I asked if the food was still good cause it looked like their fridge had broke and they assured me everything was fine. They gave me what I ordered, which was two Samoa cookies (my favorite thing to order from here) when I got home I opened up the container and they were so soggy. Came here to get some goodies for my friends house who lives around the corner. I got a Creme Brulee cupcake, Smores, Carrot Cake, Vanilla and Strawberry Shortcake. MATAWAN: a delicious bakery right downtown, Papa Ganache has amazing cupcakes, cookies, muffins, brownies, full cakes, special baked goods, and even savory items. They take special orders and make custom cakes too! They also have a full catering menu! We were able to take Brie inside to order and then enjoy the treats at their dog friendly outdoor seating. Everything is SO GOOD you may not even know that 100% of their products are vegan. A lot of their products are also gluten-free. In 2013, Papa Ganache won Food Network's Cupcake Wars competition! Nonetheless, I would skip on the cookie because it didn't taste like anything and the peanut butter brownie was good. I think the brownie has a unique flavor and gets better with time. What I love about this place is that they keep their gluten-free items on the right-hand side of the store and their vegan items on the left-hand side when you walk in. I think that's a great idea because it ensures that gluten-free and vegan products are in completely separate sections, preventing any cross-contamination. I love Papa Ganache, everything they make is so good. They recently started offering baking classes in their dedicated gluten free & vegan kitchen. I've taken several of them and have learned so much! I've been an at home baker for many years but head Chef Coco has many techniques, tips, and tricks that he shares with the group. The classes are small so it's not overwhelming and Coco takes the time to explain everything and help out when needed. All the classes have been a great time and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to learn gluten free/vegan baking! Plus you come home with everything that you make!! read more

I'm not an expert on vegan or gluten free baking, but I liked most of what I tried here. I don't know what was in the cheesecake, but it tasted like cheese cake. The chocolate croissant was less successful, kind of greasy and very dense. The cupcakes were very crumply, but the frosting was excellent. Carrot cake was just not the way I like it with walnuts and raisins, but the spices were good. Loved the brownie and peanut butter fudge brownie. Takeaways were that everything is very heavy and super rich. Also kind of expensive, but if you can't have gluten or need vegan food I'd be super pumped this place exists. Eh, not my favorite. I love me a full vegan bakery but it didnt match what i thought they offered based on what i saw online There was no fresh food, everything was packaged and you cant eat it there warm. Everything was cold We ended up getting the garlic brioche bun, apple pie pizza slice, and vanilla rainbow donut. Garlic brioche bun was delicious but it was dry on its own, i asked for marinara sauce because i saw they gave it with their rice balls but they said they didnt have any and laughed. Apple pie was great when i went home and warmed it up. Donut was not the right texture, weve had vegan donuts before and this one wasnt our favorite. I was going to visit friends in Virginia who are vegan. I decided to come here and bring them a selection of cookies, brownies and other kinds of dessert. The young lady was very helpful in deciding what to choose, especially since I'm not vegan. All I can tell you is that my friends said it is the best vegan desserts they have ever had! I tried some as well and I wouldn't know any difference that this was vegan. What a hit!!! The spritz cookies were amazing!! I think that was their favorite, but they loved everything as well.
