I really enjoyed this brewery! They have a wide selection of beers of different styles and flavors. I like IPAs and really enjoyed a glass of their "What if?" IPA. They had a decent amount of seating when we went. We haven't tried a lot of items on their food menu, but enjoyed their chicken wings. We would go back to try more items especially their pizza. The workers were friendly and efficient. They had a decent amount of parking space in the outside. We would go here more often if it wasn't far from our house. We'd definitely go back! read more

With different games for little ones to play with and to entertain others as well there is a screen for movies. At this restaurant there is movie nights and scheduled events here which brings the wow factor here. The service here is well but with my experience we had to remind the waiter for our food and drinks. The food took a little longer than expected after asking upon where is was. The place was packed with families and a lot of people by the bar watching World Cup games. The sourdough pizza was delicious. 3.5 stars It's been 2+ years since our last visit to AE, and we were so excited to come back for their Detroit style pizza. Maybe we hyped it up too much in our heads, but it sort of disappointed. We got a classic red pie and a kids pie - both were very greasy. I wasted 3 napkins just dabbing off the oils. Other than that, it was a pretty tasty pizza! The service was quite subpar when we went. The servers were pretty unaware of how to accommodate a toddler - they put hot plates right in front of him, only brought out 2 plates for my husband and I (which I had to go inside to ask for), gave him no water... I get it they were young servers, but c'mon. I'm hoping it was just an off day because it's one of the few places that have a Detroit style pie around this area. read more

They brew their own beers and ciders here. Everything here was good. They have different specials everyday. Today when we went there specials was a cali or a veggie burger and get a beer for free. I ordered a cowboys from hell burger. I asked for the aioli on the side bc it was made with some habanero peppers. And it was fine for me. I just spread it on my burger as I was eating it. The fries were cooked perfectly. I also love the fact that the kitchen is open bc I do love to watch people prepare my food. They brew and sell cans or beer and cider here and the cans so super cute and from what I tasted, I can tell the drinks are good. 10/10......would come back. Would recommend. read more

We went tonight for a movie night. It was $80 pre-paid for 2 people. We arrived and were told to pick 2 boxes of candy. We were then told to go sit in "movie area." Seats very uncomfortably set up. Very close together. Hard seats. Movie screen had multiple dead pixels. The server then came up to us and greeted us. He then presented us with a drink menu. We assumed the menu was of allowed beverages with our drink ticket. We are not drinkers but picked something. He then tell us the drinks we selected was not included in the $80 price-tag so we asked for sodas. People were still arriving past the 8 o'clock start time despite there not being any room left. The manager was moving chairs around trying to find seats for people arriving LATE! Asking people to move around for late comers. Seriously??!! They put out a small bowl of "all you can eat" popcorn for more than 30 people. The buffet table was small and the room was soo crowded I could not imagine how people were going to serve themselves pizza. There were racks for 2 pies. 30-35 people and you're putting out 2 pies at a time??? Dude you're charging $80 for 2 people. The last straw for me was when they turned on the Disney Channel -- what? You don't even have a copy of the movie? Hubby and I got up and walked out and will not be returning!! Are you kidding me --$80 and you have to crowd around and try and get food at a tiny table all while people are trying to watch a movie -- on a damaged screen to boot. It was absolute robbery. It's really a shame. We have been there before to their trivia nights and had a great time but this was just an insult and a complete rip off. We left and went to Deninos spent a lot less than $80, were treated amazing and the pizza is far superior. A very expensive lesson learned!! read more

Cute restaurant, lightly movie themed with fun names for the dishes and some decor elements like movie theater seats where booths would probably be in a regular restaurant. The usage of the theme was cute and fun without beating you over the head. Our service was friendly, we had two waitresses one ending shift and another beginning. The transition was seamless and they were both very pleasant. I was with friends I hadn't seen for a long time so we were catching up which made our decision making time much slower than typical. Both waitresses took it in stride and were very nice and accommodating. We started with the cheese curds, my one friend can't handle spicy so we ordered the parmesan garlic with red sauce for dipping. These were so delicious and easy to just keep popping into your house. Great for sharing with 2-3 or 4 people because you're given a good amount. I ordered the boardwalk empire strikes again pan pizza. It was good, but I think next time I will get a bar pie. I felt the crust/dough was the star of the show for my pizza and I would have liked to be able to taste the toppings and sauce more. This is probably preference which is why I'll get bar pie next time! Alternate Ending, it's been awhile. The beer menu is scaled down, the food menu is scaled down, portion size is scaled down, foot traffic is down and the To-go beer selection is scaled down. What's up? Ambiance is same but with less attendance. The service is always the best. We ordered apps, namely, Curds your Way, Crispy Cauliflower Bites and the Heritage Meatballs. The Curds, dipped in batter, fried and served with our choice of sauce, classic marinara. Crispy, squishy, squeaky and good! The Heritage Meatballs, served in marinara with a dallop of lemon ricotta, were a bit dense and dry. Double dipping into the marinara was a must. Sadly, the Crispy Cauliflower Bites with Honey Sesame Sauce was anything but crispy. Alternate Endings brewery is such a fun spot. You would think a brewery would not be family friendly, but alas, they have it covered! It was a movie theatre in a past life so they've preserved the movie theatre vibe in the seats- some tables still have them, cup holders and all! There is actually a movie theatre inside which the kids love. If you look behind the bar, you can see where they make their beer. They also have a really funny "foam guide" if that is your thing, which makes for an interesting experience. There's something for everyone in terms of drinks. My husband and I stumbled upon their "Beer and Burger" Wednesday purely by chance. We're in the middle of renovations for our bathrooms and kitchen. Hunting for tiles, cabinets, and everything else has left us exhausted and starving. Cooking dinner was the absolute last thing we wanted to do. They have a wide selection of beers to choose from, and the burgers come in a variety of options, including a vegan patty and a Hawaiian pulled pork option. We went for the pulled pork and the classic cheeseburger. Both were incredibly juicy and cooked exactly how we like them. They came with a mountain of fries. Fun fact: This place used to be the Matawan movie theater. They even have a two tables with the original movie theater seats as a fun throwback. Matza ball soup was actually a surprise fave with a decent size ball and not overly salty broth. Now to the Detroit styled pizza: The Rocket with deep dish carmelized buttery edges with several cheeses topped with arugula was so large was able to split and still take a few pieces home. Weekend brunch review... I've had Alternate Ending bookmarked it seems like forever. They showed up on my Facebook feed and were having an October fest brunch offering. Gotta mention that the menus are pretty extensive, both food and drinks even for a brunch. It's a very nice sized space that used to be an old movie theater. They even have a room off on the right after you enter that has a movie screen that one can reserve for a private gathering. Our server Liv was up to date on all things happening here. We came in around 11:30 and were seated at a table that had theater seating. For drinks, she had an espresso stout-tini and I chose a verde Maria. Which is a spin of a Bloody Mary. Using Tequila and a few different green veggies. It was quite tasty and brought on a little heat. :) Our entrees were a brat Benny for her, and I couldn't resist the biscuits and gravy. Both portions are pretty hearty in size. For a little sweetness at the end, try those warm apple cider donuts. Absolutely great time! Patrick's service was timely, rapid, and attentive. My only regret is that as the driver, I couldn't enjoy the drinks as much as my wife, but they had non-alcoholic options for that problem. Food was great, had the fried cauliflower bites in an attempt to behave, followed by a sourdough pizza. We even got upsold into dessert, trying the warm chocolate chip cookie and a scoop of the Turkish coffee ice cream. Everything had a bit of the history of being a converted movie theater, with a bit of kitsch that really made it feel completely up my alley. Had the pleasure of coming here for brunch, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! I've been here countless times, but usually sit outside because it's dog friendly. My favorite beer is the Why Not? because I'm a big fan of Hazy IPAs. This time I had the potato hash, and while the eggs were delicious, it could've used a little more cheese and less potatoes. The pecan pie french toast was the best, followed by the burger. My mother in law and friends had the Blood Mary's, which they liked, but my husband was a big fan of the Biggest Flirt, including the egg whites and all. I had a Nora's Temple, and quickly had to change to cranberry with club because the temple was just way too sweet for me. Service is phenomenal, they are always quick to suggest stuff on the menu, and this time we had a live jazz band that was pretty good.
