Chicken wing
Phillip M.

DO NOT GO HERE‼‼‼ Visiting sunset bay from out of town. Nobody in the restaurant. They took over an hour to bring us our wings. When they came out there was a long hair stretched across the wings. We told the server and they took the wings into the kitchen and brought them back our 15 seconds later. I ate literally 1 wing and stopped because it was suspect. 7 hours later I was hovering over the toilet throwing up. Ended up having food poisoning. Missed 2 days of work. Horrible service and horrible food.

Simple but ample bar

So glad we decided to stop here. Quiet little hole in the wall with friendly service and patrons. Felt comfortable right off the bat and pulled a couple of stools up at the bar. Beer was cold, wings were hot, crispy and yummy. We split a personal size pepperoni pizza and it was pretty good also. Will definitely make another stop when we are in the area again!

Best bartenders, culture and drinks from a sandy seat in front of a band. Thank you Sportsman staff!

I think this might be one of my favorite restaurants for taking a family in the Buffalo area! They…read morehave a menu filled with variety (but not overwhelming), plenty of different dining areas, and I especially love sitting outside in the summertime. The service was superb. Christina was one of the kindest, most genuine waitresses I've had in a long time. Their kids' menu prices have to be the same as they were at least five years ago, just $5, including a drink and a side. You really can't beat that! I was torn between their corned beef and chicken fingers, so I secured that I could get a finger from a shared meal and then ordered the Mother Superior. I substituted grilled sourdough since I'm not a fan of Kimmelweck seeds. This sandwich was loaded with tender corned beef and absolutely delicious with the melty Swiss, creamy Russian dressing, and lightly cooked red onions. We also ordered Combo #2 to share, which has several Buffalo favorites: chicken fingers, wings, beef on weck, and waffle fries. It was a LOT of food for a very reasonable price. My boys said the wings were amazing and perfectly crispy. There were plenty of waffle fries to share, and the chicken tenders were nice and crispy too. The kids loved their meals: mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, and chicken tenders. The fries were just okay, but when you have a vessels of blue cheese and a salt grinder on the table, you know they're going to be just fine. And then there's dessert... Very smart marketing to have a display of their homemade desserts right on the table! Our waitress mentioned that everything is made by their pastry chef, so of course we had to order a couple. We went with the pistachio cheesecake and peanut butter pie. The peanut butter pie was so smooth and creamy, and the kids loved the cookie crust and puddle of chocolate sauce. One of them actually said it was too much peanut butter. I had no idea there was such a thing! The pistachio cheesecake had a cake bottom with a thick, rich layer of cheesecake on top. We really liked the addition of lemon, it added a nice freshness to balance everything out. I absolutely love this spot and highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food, a great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Oh, and there's a popcorn machine in the bar area, which the kids made approximately 17 trips to.

Had a great fish fry at JPs! Beer battered fish fry was very good! Sides were also great. I had the…read moreslaw and the macaroni salad... both were very good... but especially love their coleslaw!! Service was quick and friendly!! We sat in a spacious back room with many windows that let the sun in. There are several other rooms... JPs is pretty big inside... but on a Lenten Friday you can expect a wait... we waited about 20 minutes for lunch.. but it was well worth the wait!

We need a break from the usual places in the city so we took a trip down to ski country…read more We walked in and noticed we were the first customers in there. We took a seat in the back with a view of the mountains and started to watch the skiers. The dining area was large and clean, and the waitress came and got our food and drink orders moving quickly. Our little yelper opted for none other than the children's tenders. She ate almost all of them and the fries, they got a thumbs up review. The waitress was even nice enough to hook our kid up with a nice helping of pickles too. The misses opted for the pulled pork melt, even with the mafia sauce she told me it was rather bland in the flavor department but the onion rings were sizable and crispy. I opted for the chicken Caesar salad, but there was some miscommunications in the kitchen and I wound up with steak (not a bad thing) but our waitress asked if it was ok. Steak was cooked perfectly and the salad itself was piled high. Overall, not a bad dining experience, it should be a 3 , but the awesome service took it up a notch. She really helped make the meal more enjoyable.

Wings (12 in an order with celery) came with 10, no celery, no sauce, and overcooked. Do not recommend. We are leaving and are still hungry. Waste of 50 dollars. Dining area very cold. We had our coats on while eating.
