Something was not right with the spinach artichoke dip, and the muscles had several with cracked shells and others that did not open at all. What is going on? This is a good deal to get a craft beer included with your fish fry. I actually ordered it to go and enjoyed the beer while waiting for the fish to take out. It was a very solid fish dinner, the batter was crispy, not oily. The fish was fresh, all of the sides were good, even the rye bread was a nice hearty thick cut of rye. The mac salad featured tuna, which I do like. And the fries were hot and tasty. The fish itself was not huge but was big enough for us. Every component of the fish fry dinner was on point. The barmaid was efficient and friendly, I did not have to wait. My only complaint is that they do not list beer prices on their menu, which was fine this time since it was included with the meal, but would prevent me from enjoying a stop on the way home for a beer or two. I think it is a sneaky practice, but strangely I do note prices on their website, and guess what? All draft beers are $8 including Labatt Blue Light, unless the website is now outdated. ($8 for Labatt's!! Holy Moly!) I can see why it is not on the printed menu. I really don't like when there is not full price transparency, thus four stars instead of five. However I wholeheartedly endorse the value and quality of the Lenten fish fry special.

One of my group had the fish fry and it looks so good. I had to take a picture of it and send it to my husband who is also a big fish fry fan. He was impressed. She and my friend had a cup of the clam chowder soup and I regretted not having the same because it looked absolutely delicious and piping hot. You could tell it was homemade. Both my friend and I were in the mood for pizza, and I wouldn't really order pizza from a place that's not known for it but order it we did. I've been going here sporadically for decades, it's a no frills dive with a local drinking crowd. Drinks are cheap as hell, which is refreshing after living in South Florida for a decade. My best friend built a home that happens to be a half mile from the bar, which is convenient for me to hit up when visiting from Florida. Jukebox, mediocre TV's for sports, a shot and a beer kind of place. Tiny bar food menu- but there's only one thing you need to order here. The chicken wings are insanely good. There's no cook, the bartender disappears to cook them every once in a while. We got hot BBQ, and they were gas!! Blown away by the fried perfection. Really crispy, meaty, and the house made sauces are incredible. Fun fact, the owners are from Eden NY, and have a son Alex Iafallo who is a damn good NHL hockey player!
