The state I reside in assured me that I could title the vehicle (as long as the vehicle had not been titled). When I attempted to title the vehicle, the highway patrol (during vin inspection) informed me that the vehicle had a title and the vin number had been modified. I have made several attempts to contact the owner of the dealership (to resolve the problem). The owner is never available and will not return my calls. I am now left with moving forward with legal proceedings. I have contacted my lawyer and the dealer will have to deal with the recourse of a fraudulent transaction (which is a major legal matter)
