500 tickets very 1st game we played

The New Sportstime USA located in Ardsley is definitely a mix bag. First, if your an adult this place will be underwhelming. This place is more suited for toddlers - pre teens. If your looking for the batting cages and air hockey tables they are gone along with pinball machines. First lets talk about the lay out which is odd. Sportstime is now housed in what appears to be a warehouse building. There is a small space of video/ticket games most which are old and dated. There is a space for smaller kids which features a bounce house and obstacle maze which both look very outdated and cost an additional $20. Then there are two event spaces which look to be the bread and butter here. Saw two maybe three parties going on and everyone looked to be happy. Next there is a space for the bumper cars and two other pay per rides and behind that is the Billiards room which has 4-6 pool tables. There is also a lazer tag room which I did not go into and an upstairs area which is used for parties. A lot of party space here. I have two children under the age of 6 and we spent about 90 mins here. We did not encounter any games out of order with the exception of one which the 2nd player did not work. My little ones seemed to enjoy themselves. I would suggest eating before and bring your own drinks. The concession stand looked sparse (pizza/pretzels/fountain drinks). There is a ample amount of easy to play ticket machines. My oldest came away with nearly 2k in tickets, we hit 500 on the first play! Unfortunately the prizes are lackluster like many places and have crazy ticket costs. They should probably lower some of the ticket amounts to entice play. Also the prize tickets are actual tickets which you have to place into a machine to count and obtain a receipt. Stay away from the crane machines, they are some of the worse I have ever seen and definitely not winnable. The staff here are ok very hit and miss but what do you want from teenagers/young adults. Some friendly some not so. Sportstime operates on a card system. I spent $50 for a card with 225 points and it lasted nearly 90 mins. Games vary from 2-10 points per play. My kids had fun however they never saw the old Sportstime in its heyday in Elmsford. Like I stated earlier a decent place for pre teens and under. Anyone older may not enjoy this place. Chuck E Cheese is a step or two better for toddlers - 8yr olds and Dave and Busters definitely better for teens/adults.

A sad and depressing replacement to such a nostalgic amusement center. What once offered so much is a shell of its former self. 99% of these reviews appear to be from their original decades old location in Elmsford. They've now moved to Ardsley. I'm not positive if Sportstime USA is now sharing space with a terrible events venue, but sure does it feel that way. The space is bland. Half finished walls, all white, the rest unfinished or exposed. No color. About 1/4 the arcade machines of the original location. No batting cages. The "soft play area" is pathetically small, next to a grave yard of dead arcade machines, and they charge $15 for it. A small rock wall, also next to the soft play area, with no one manning it. Three amusement rides, one technician managing them all. No billiards, air hockey, or foosball gaming tables. Not even sure if you can call the confection area a confection area. The ticket redeeming area offers a pathetic selection of toys. I saw 2 functioning claw machines, both impossible to win. The skeeball machines are in terrible shape. It's too bad Westchester lacks many arcade alternatives. Either way, don't bother wasting your money here. Stay home.

This place is still awesome! Yes some of the games are in the fritz but the staff are quick to fix it. The food here is good. It's a good place to get a burger and fries. I love that the number cars are still there. All in all it was a fun date and I recommend anyone to go on an arcade date.

This place needs a serious upgrade! I'm giving it 3 stars because the laser tag was super fun! There were 8 of us and we played several rounds. The games and rides are outdated and a lot of the equipment is run down and broken. Besides the laser tag, the batting cages were fun to play too. This place seems like it is good for younger kids and birthday parties. Most games give out tickets and what kid doesn't love getting a prize before going home? The cafeteria is decent, but a little over priced. If your an adult crowd laser tag and batting cages is they only things you will probably enjoy. If you have kids they can rock climb go on rides and pretty much run a muck. They even have a small area for toddlers. Staff is super nice and friendly too.

Cute place for kids to teens, about as fun as it always was (except there are no more batting cages).

The game masters were very accommodating and started us right away and there was no wait in between each rooms. The lobby is an open area with just the entrance to the three rooms. You enter into the same hallways but get debriefed at a different door each time depending on the game you are playing. It's definitely a more fun experience if you attend with people that you know share the same momentum and goal. Purchasing all 3 games is the most worth it, but when it gets busy you may have to share the room w/ random people or have to wait in between rooms. We're glad that we decided to try all 3 and receive the full experience. As for the rooms, if you like Disney rides, you are going to love these! The high tech quality of the props, storyline, and surround sound system implemented were all state-of-the-art. One minute, you'll feel like you're in an Egyptian tomb, the next in a futuristic spaceship, and then entering a hundred year old castle. The puzzles were not hard, some were actually pretty much geared towards kids. This is not your typical puzzle-heavy escape room. You are really here to experience a movie set and immerse yourself into it like an actor on set. We enjoyed all 3 rooms, but if we had to pick a favorite, I would say the "Tomb" is up there. They will give you a score at the end, pending on the time you spend in there, how many errors you've made, and if you used any of the clues or not (the clues are "voluntarily" given pending on the time you spend at a specific location because remember these are 30 minute rooms so the game will push you along and will not let you be stuck at a place for too long). Check out our proud scores below. Maybe not the castle one.. *For more info, check out my Yelp profile.

We arrived at 10:30, which I would recommend based on crowds. My 4 and 5 year old had a good time, though I'd say this spot is optimal for slightly older and above. There were just a handful of activities they really couldn't do. That being said, I saw a bunch of toddlers who were also having a blast. The namesake slide was closed all morning, which was a bummer, but I'm also not sure my kids would have actually done it. The trampolines, acrobatic swing bar, and multi-level play structure were their favorites. I agree that some people working here were more happy to be there. The waiver is long. Try to do it ahead of time.

We used a Groupon and had no issues redeeming when visiting on a Friday morning. We were instructed to complete the waivers at the kiosks near the entrance. We did have to purchase the mandatory socks which was $18 for three (3) pairs. Before proceeding to the play areas, we put our things in the little cubes they have for storage...i.e. shoes, bags, etc. Keep in mind these are open cubes which anyone can access. I never felt unsafe in leaving our things there...but as always, there is a risk. It was not very crowded on a Friday morning at around 10:30am (they open at 10) so it was a pleasure navigating the space with minimal crowds. There are lots of areas to enjoy for both adults and children. The main area has trampolines as well as some interactive areas where you jump to tap buttons and two video screens where you mimic the movements on screen...both area great. There are a few obstacle courses: ninja, balance beam, and swing pit. The basketball area is also great with a cushioned surface, two hoops, and targets where you can throw balls at. There are two huge slides in the center which are fun. Finally, there a "rock climbing" area with a few different climbing options. You must have the "climb" option added to your pass in order to use it though. You will be belayed during the climb. Be mindful that the gripped socks provided do NOT offer the best grip while climbing in my opinion...climbing was much more difficult that I experience in traditional rock climbing places that provide rock climbing shoes...then again, maybe it is just me. There is a food area which sells some snacks: soft drinks, chips, candy. There are also a few tables nearby where you can eat. Overall we had a great time here...the space was very clean and well-maintained. All staff we encountered were very nice. Be sure to check ahead if visiting with toddlers as there are some restrictions on which areas they are able to visit.

Geared towards the younger crowd, adults can partake in the play which was pretty cool. There was enough excitement from the various obstacles to provide a thrill, old and young alike. This was definitely the highlight of the entertainment center. Safety wasn't an issue and there was enough supervision even with the additional risks. There are many arcade games but 1/3 of the games seemed to be out of order for my trip. Not sure if that is because of the package my group paid for. Honestly most of the games were stale. The bumper cars were of the kiddie variety and used levers for movement instead of a steering wheel so it was a little less bump which takes away some of the fun. The overall drive space was smaller so the bumps were more like nudges. The scary 3D movie experience also didn't provide the thrill I was expecting. The aroma of buttery popcorn is very prevalent everywhere in the center, so much so that I swear it's on purpose to make you buy popcorn. The pizza was not impressive but I suppose standard for the course. During my visit the wait for the concession lines were really long. The floors were well cleaned and maintained which is a nice change from the normal food stained floors of most kiddie entertainment centers.
