Horrible, just horrible person cutting my ha looked to be 12 years old. Didn't listen to instructions and gave a bad cut plus attempted to do a comb over like part and on top of that they double charged me. Went back the next day and they would not correct the error of charging me twice she said she would have to call the manager. I waited a half an hour and still no resolution. She tried to say that they showed one charge only so I had to get a printout from the bank. When I returned she was still waiting for return call. I just had to finally dispute the charge through my bank. So 69 bucks total for a crappy haircut and zero customer service. I'm contacting the state IG and file a complaint. Stay away. read more

It's really hard to find a place that isn't either a.) ridiculously overpriced, or b.) makes you feel like a sheep on a conveyor belt waiting to get sheared. Sport Cuts is my "Goldlocks Zone," and I wish I would've found it sooner. As an aging dude with a steadily thinning hairline, I still want to look clean and presentable, and Jaime (the only stylist to cut my hair so far), gets it right every single time. Their online reservation system and website could use a little TLC and modernization, but otherwise I'm a very happy customer who looks forward to getting his monthly haircut. read more

Took my husband in for a haircut ... and signed in to their customer database. My husbands name (Joe) just happened to be the same name as two others (all Joe's). After waiting 15+ mins ... The next available stylist said "Joe" ... (it was my hubby's turn), but another "Joe" said HERE ... and took his spot. The stylist seemed vexed when I questioned her, BUT it's their system. She quickly adjusted and took us, but (honestly) when factoring the wait verses the quality of haircut verses the cost ... it really wasn't worth it. *Stylist seemed stressed, and her fake banter was comical. We were just in for my kids' first haircuts (2.5 year old girl and 9 month old boy). The gal that did my daughters cut was really sweet and did a good job. I didn't want anything too specific or different, just a trim and clean up. When she was done I noticed a super long piece on the back that looked awkward, I felt bad mentioning it but she was super sweet about fixing it and appreciated that I pointed it out. If that was the only experience I'd give this place 4 stars... ...But the gal that did my sons cut was super cold and clearly not interested (she even said "it's ok if the sides aren't even, who's he trying to impress, he's a baby".... she may have been awkwardly kidding, but seriously... who says that??) Plus they had them sit like 4 chairs away from each other (when we were basically the only ones there), which was hard for getting any kind of picture of their first haircuts. They did find me a couple of zip lock bags for their first locks of hair, but again... the grumpy one was super "meh" about it. She even said "oh, you want to keep his hair? I just cut off the perfect 3inch chunk" I was like "Cool! Thanks" and looked on the ground and around the chair, and couldn't find it. She then says (without even looking) "ya, I don't know where it went". *facepalm* read more

My husband & son started going here and initially had such a great experience with Kaylee. She was fun, did a great job and was incredibly consistent with the haircuts she gave both of them. Cut to now, she has unfortunately left and gone elsewhere and my husband and son have given this place 4 or 5 tries trying to just get decent haircuts... out of those trips my husband has had 1 good haircut so he tried to book appointments with the same girl and he would get there and she wouldn't even be there. Fine, it's a simple haircut.. he's flexible. Unfortunately from the moment you walk in the staff is extremely unpleasant, we've experienced this multiple times but this last time really took the cake. we walked in to Rachel & Jamie just standing behind the counter staring at us. No "hello", no "how can I help you?" So I said "hi we have 2 appointments" and they looked like I had just ruined their day. Rachel clearly doesn't care to talk to people... be around people... or take any kind of instruction on what people want.. so she just gives a haircut she decides to do that day and if you have any feedback or want any changes she just stares at you until you take it back and tell her it's fine. (Spoiler alert, it was the worst men's haircut I've ever seen, she lined the back of his neck crooked and about an inch higher than his natural hairline not to mention a fade isn't taking a #2 all the way up to his part.... But, I digress). When my husband asked me to come over because he felt like maybe he just wasn't explaining what was wrong to her I told him it looked fine knowing there was absolutely nothing she could do to fix it and the last thing I wanted was her clippers touching his head again. While this last experience was the final straw in us not returning, every experience since our girl Kaylee left has been filled with rude staff, not great haircuts and just generally a feeling like coming in and getting 2 haircuts (which aren't inexpensive by any means) is an extreme inconvenience to whatever woman is working that day. read more

Honestly I have no clue how this place has so many stars but I would never recommend this place unless you are extremely desperate because they always have walk Ins available. That's the reason for the extra star. I've been here 4 times out of desperation for an event coming up, it's a few blocks away, open till 8 and always have spots open. I literally have to come home every time and trim it up. I am constantly having long hairs everywhere when I get a 1 on the bottom. The fade is literally like 3 straight lines and no blending whatsoever. This place is prioritizes quantity over quality 100%! Just get you in and out as soon as possible. Today was probably the last straw, came home to find a huge clump of hair sticking out of the side towards the back, I fixed it myself. Please stay away from this place!!!!! Ps. Both of my son's come here for their haircuts. The stylists are all wonderful and the facility is spotless. The stylists do a good job of making suggestions to keep my guy's looking quaffs perfectly manicured. One of my boys belongs to a swim team and has tricky hair to manage because of the chlorine. I do like their shop. The design, multiple TVs and friendly staff, but their methods are fairly inconsistent. I usually go to Sport Cuts once a month to get a 1/2 size cut. The hair stylists cut the way I like, but the constant reeducation on how to cut my hair is a little frustrating. I recently stopped in for a trim. As I usually do, I request a 1/2 cut on my scalp and beard. I've had the same cut for a little over a year now. When I tried to explain to the stylist, she said that she's going to get the trimmer. I was a little confused but said ok, maybe she'll just edge up my lines. When she returned, she immediately used a 0 cut on my scalp. I was getting very annoyed after telling the stylist what I wanted. She responded that their notes haven't been updated since 2009. Seems a bit odd because I haven't even moved into Lacey since 2010. But whatever. The stylist shaved me bald and gave me a free cut. Overall, I'll still continue with Sport Cuts because it's the closest and cheapest, but if they keep being inconsistent on updating their notes, I may resort to going elsewhere and pay extra. read more

No stars this is the worst place ever and is expensive for the job they do. Went in there and told the lady to do a fade Mohawk on my son and totally messed it up. So bad that had to shave my kids hair bald. She didn't even say since I messed it up free of charge I still had to pay 10.80 for shave head and that was with military discount WTF? I don't recommend this to anybody unless you willing to take a chance and end up with bald hair cut. I could of did that at home. I liked this place. There were TVs at each station so my 4 yr old watched cartoons while Savannah cut his hair. She did a good job! They even have a prize for kids post haircut. Much prefer this place to high priced salons and Jack and Jill for my 4 yr old's haircut. I was paying more at high priced places thinking I was paying for experience with the sharp shears and my wiggly little boy. Then I couldn't get an appointment one day at the salon, so I took him to Jack and Jill, which was mistake. That seems like the kind of place that people start at when they just first get their haircut license so they pull out all the stops to get the kids to sit still. read more

OK - seriously need to RAVE for Amanda @ the Lacey Sport Cuts location...I have been all over Olympia and spent literally 100s of dollars trying to get my hair to be the color I want. All I wanted was to have some platinum highlights - what does it take? Lifting (sometimes), heat, and a super-awesome toner. Every colorist I've gone to in Oly has told me they can't get me "that blonde" as if I'm showing up with black hair or something...WTH!?! I have naturally ash blonde hair, think Taylor Swift (obvs, mine is nowhere near as beautiful, but color-wise we are similar) ... I have had this hair color before but changed things up to a more toned-down blonde and then when I wanted to go back, I got so much slack! I mean, I have shed tears over what other stylists in Oly did to my hair....it came out looking like STRAW! :( Well anyway, Amanda did such an amzing job for under $100 I got a cut and partial foil w/ 2 colors...and I have extremely long & think hair so mine costs extra and she didn't even charge me extra for the length/thickness...and my color turned out AMAZING. I highly recommend everyone go see her!! Sport Cuts might look like a "guys" hair place but they do a phenomenal job, especially Amanda! She will also listen to your concerns (or if you're like me, your lunatic ravings) to make sure she gets what you want!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!! This is actually the 2nd time I've seen her (the first was for a haircut only) and so I am uber-absolutely sure that she is probably hands down the best stylist in Oly. Britini was an amazing hairstylist. She rescued my haircut I got hours ago. IT WAS AWFUL, I looked like Victor from despicable me 2 and my confidence was CRUSHED. The previous person who cut my hair at a different hair company did really really bad. I recommend her for a cut n fade style haircut. I can't express how pleasant the experience was, she was kind, reassured me she could fix me up and I gave her full creative control. Might have FINALLY found a good place to get a haircut! Been searching for years for a real good place for a haircut, while its hard to pay over $20 for a cut, this place did a real good job when I went here to get my haircut, I was pretty impressed with the place. The lady that cut my hair was most certainly a pro at what she was doing, and have gotten plenty of compliments about the haircut- I would say there is a REAL good chance that I will return here for another haircut! I use to like this place and always went in for quick trims. At some point every mom in Thurston decided it was a children's hair cut place. Notice all the positive reviews mention kids. The last 3 times I went in it was like visiting a kindergarten with little kids running, screaming, crying, and blowing snot on everything. She easily and effortlessly explained her recommendations prior to my service, and was very knowledgeable. Her customer service was simply amazing, and took the time to demonstrate the way she was styling my hair so I'd be able to do it at home. A lot of the reviews I see on here are old, so I'll contribute to let people know how it is here in late 2018. Everybody was friendly, the atmosphere is great, and there was good conversation. I was helped by Brandon J, who worked miracles on my hair. When I went in, my hair was long uncontrollable. I told Brandon what I wanted and he delivered superbly. Tanner does a great job with my hair. That is no small feat! My hair had been called frog fur by other people. It is fine, uneven wave, cowlicks, you name it. She has managed to give me a very nice stylish cut. I would definitely recommend Tanner. I am looking forward to the remodel of the shop. They need to learn to communicate and listen to their customers. You bring a picture in to help, tell them what you want, then end up asking them to finish up because in your head you're telling yourself you're going to have to go somewhere else (tight cuts in Lakewood) to have them fix your hair. Word of advice... Don't shave off someone's side burns if they didn't ask you to and have facial hair. Won't be recommending them to anyone else. read more

A bad haircut for double the price. I asked for a low fade. She buzzed the sides of my head, taking it way too high and making the low fade immediately impossible. The really bad part is the back. It looks like she just kind of gave up. The left side of the back of my head isn't blended at all. It became clear that she really doesn't know men's hair very well. Which is completely unacceptable for a twenty dollar haircut. I knew the place was expensive going in, But for the price I expected a lot more. I really don't know how they can justify it being that expensive. Atmosphere? I don't think that reproductions of sports memorabilia covered in a healthy coating of hair trimmings are worth doubling the price. For half the price you can go to a real barber, get a good haircut and a neck shave with a hot towel. read more

Lucked upon Sports Cuts (same building but on opposite side of club where I work out) a few months ago and gave Morgan a try and haven't gone anywhere else since. She takes her time and never seems rushed. I'm in my 60's with lots of white hair. Definitely younger crowd when I visit but I enjoy the atmosphere and Morgan is first rate stylist. read more

We even showed the stylist a picture and she totally cut it completely off, it was uneven and just looked terrible! Every stylist was on their phone and they were super unfriendly. I don't know why I keep going here. Probably because it is close and not terribly expensive. But I am done. Too many occasions have I gone here and had to deal with a different stylist each time who is barely out of school. They do not listen to what I want and I have received at least 2 or 3 absolutely terrible haircuts that leaves my wife wondering what the hell they were thinking. My haircuts should not be this difficult. The only reason I am giving two stars is because they have less than 5 minute wait times usually. read more
