Jennifer, the owner, is the most unreliable hairdresser I have ever encountered. She canceled more appointments than she kept. She's sick, the kid is sick, reaction to meds, kid out of the country, no sleep, cut her hand... the list goes on and this was all in a period of 3 1/2 months. No calls from her, just texts. You'd think if she were professional she'd pick up the phone but she took the cowards way out for canceling. Unprofessional to say the least. My former hairdresser I had for 19 years never canceled one appointment. Jennifer needs lessons in had to treat a client. Stephanie did a great job. I showed her what I wanted and she let me know that my hair wasn't right for the cut I wanted. She came up with an alternative that was close to what I showed her that is far more manageable and just as beautiful. She was personable and respectful of my time. She even fit me in last minute. I called up catwalk and and I made an appointment which was was only 2 days From then and I was happy to get a fast appointment. I have no idea what to expect but I will say I was very it's very happy Was the closest to my home and that I decided to try it out. I really had a relaxing experience and trusted my stylist completely. I was really pleased with the outcome of the color and the curls she put in my hair was a bonus. I ended up with a great day and a new place to get my hair done for now on. Price was way less than the last place I went and had a partial foil and cut. I have had my ups and downs with stylists. I walked in and explained my situation and was told Stephanie would be who I would want to book with. One life story later, Stephanie, who listen to my woes and probably too much TMI on my part, managed to do exactly what I wanted. I haven't had a cut like that in so long. I was so pleased. I love what Nancy Berry did with my hair! Prior to my appt, I had blonde/caramel balayage that had grown out six inches. Rather than lifting the color again, Nancy suggested this warm fall look. I LOVE it. My very dark hair took on a warmer tone and the lighter streaks have a beautiful dark copper/mahogany shimmer in the sunlight. Thank you Nancy! Curly Girls... Nancy is great with curly hair! You can't tell in the pictures but I have spiral curls that are super curly in the front and way more relaxed in the back. I hardly ever leave reviews. But my experience at Catwalk today absolutely warranted one. I just had a Brazilian wax done by Christina this morning after getting a recommendation from a friend, and let me tell you, she cannot be beat. I have fibromyalgia, and thus a lower pain tolerance than I used to. My last experience (at a different studio about a year ago) wasn't so great. But Christina made it so much easier- not only was her bedside manner amazing during the process, but I'm in less pain afterward compared to the last place I went. She does a thorough and very efficient job. She's professional with a wealth of knowledge, personable, and easy to talk to. The room I was taken to is clean and comfortable. I had an updo done for a wedding last Sunday since the bride booked appointments for the entire bridal party. I have to confess, I was not too thrilled since the bride picked out the updo everyone had to sport. Luckily, I was paired up with Jen who was nice to work with. She works pretty quick (considering that I have long heavy hair) and when she was done, I was impressed with her work. I didn't recognize myself but I love how she made the style flattering to my features. Even though I don't live in the Olympia area, I highly recommend Jen if you're in need of an updo for any special event. For more info, I suggest checking out their facebook page. The more I think about this, the more mad I am. I have been to this salon before and had a good result--but it wasn't the result I asked for. I forgave it in the past because it still looked nice. I shouldn't have come back and I never will again. I had a balayage that I said I would like toned and I also wanted to add some face-framing highlights. It was suggested to use permanent color to tone my balayage and I agreed to it. And then she starts applying a level 7 to my level 5 hair...ON MY SCALP. I say I want to retain my current level. She assures me it will not lift because it is only 10 volume. This would be true if she was applying it on color treated hair but not my virgin regrowth. Boom! Orange roots. Then she leaves the actual toner on my new highlights all of about a minute so they are BRIGHT YELLOW. Of course, the salon is so dark that it is impossible to tell how bad everything is until you get into decent lighting. The second I looked at my hair in the car mirror, I could have cried. In addition to this, the cut was bad. Shorter than what I asked for and an inch longer on my left side. I would never allow someone who's ruined my hair enough "fix" it, so I went to Sally's and just colored over the whole mess. Now I'm out $300+ a 25% tip. Do not trust the lighting in that salon! Worst salon experience of my life. read more

Guys, it was Nancy for me. This place is by appointment so I booked my appointment by phone and talked to Nancy about what I wanted. I have wavy long hair and wanted some layers. Now, I usually look up ideas on Pinterest and show some pictures to the stylist for reference. However time after time I was met with disappointment. So this time no picture however Nancy did exactly what I wanted and than some. Her craft is crazy and I was so happy with my hair cut I couldn't stop smiling. 5 out of 5 for me! read more

This is a really great place to get a Brazillian Wax. Christina, my lady waxer, is very professional and gentle with her hands. She never double dips and She knows how to take the sting out of the first few rips. She makes great conversation and has an upbeat personality. Aside from the awesome lady waxer, the room that I was waxed in was very clean, comfortable and has a calming atmosphere. The bed was cozy and the sheets and towels looked new. The prices are a bit on the high side but the sevice is well worth it. read more

Today I went to the Catwalk Skin Studio for a Brazilian Wax. Let's be real I got a deal off Groupon and when you do that your really not sure what your in for...However, with that being said I am so happy I choose to have Christina to do my wax! She was very personable, professional and friendly! She greeted me at the door, had me fill out an information questionnaire in regards to my experience. She took me back to the room which was very clean and inviting (the bed is also super comfy!) She was quick but I didn't seemed rushed she's just good at what she does! Not once did I feel awkward or uncomfortable. I highly recommend her for waxing and I will be seeing her again. This was my least painful Brazilian I have had and it had been a while since I'd had one! Thanks again for amazing service :) Photos: are after I had used the room. The bed was neat before my wax! I have never been so disappointed. I made an appointment to get a full foil, cut, and style. I got to Catwalk right on my appointment time and saw the owner closing up the salon. I was told abruptly by the owner that she was late for something she had to do. I was pretty let down when I was told I was the one late and that she waited and I since I didn't get there on time I would have to reschedule. But then she said she would go ahead and do my hair but she needed to leave to her important appointment. I should have said I'll reschedule but she reassured me that she would have enough time to do everything I asked for, so I went in with her. She got me in the chair and ask me about what I was wanting to do and everything I said she kept commenting about how much time she could try to do what I was asking. Again I should have left. I asked for 2 shades of Carmel/blonde highlights. I was told there was only time for 1. I reluctantly agreed. She then proceeded to do about 10 foils. I questioned as to why there was such a small amount of fools and she assured me that 10 foils across the top of my head was a full foil and that's what I asked for. I said no I'm looking for a full foil. And she then replied she didn't have enough time. I was pretty mad but had the foils in already so fast she only spent like 15 mins doing the foils. She then set me under the dryer and proceeded to check my color after 15 mins under the dryer. She ran around frantically closing up shop. She got me to the sink. She rinsed and washed my hair in 2 minutes flat. Rushed me to the chair barely cut at all. Then put a few waves in my hair and I was done. She rushed me to pay and charged me $159! I was in shock and paid even though I felt I was basically being robbed. It was the most horrible experience. My hair looked the same as when I went in. I got home and no one could tell I had anything done. I called her the next day and told her how disappointed I was and that I felt she way over charged me. She continued to say that I paid for what I got. After a lot of arguing she said I could come back the next day and set me an appointment. I didn't go for fear she might have damaged my hair and rather then continue to allow her to mess with my hair anymore I opted to go somewhere else. Beware of the owner of the Catwalk. Her customers are not a priority and she's definitely not trying to give satisfactory service. I feel cheated and robbed. Do yourself a favor and skip the Catwalk. Worst most horrible service and highly inflated cost. I am completely disappointed and I will NEVER GO BACK THERE nor would I ever recommend my worst enemy to go there. She list my buissness and all my family and friends business as well. Hey Catwalk owner if you read this I didn't appreciate your service at all! As a matter of fact your service sucked! read more

She gave me the most fantastic haircut I've ever had in my life and dyed it to look as natural as possible and it was EXACTLY what I wanted. I could not recommend her more! read more

Just no. Called to make an appointment, the lady couldn't hardly hear me, which is fine. So made an appointment to get my hair cut. She said the cut wash and blow dry was included in the price. I go over with my hair unwashed and up. Told her I was just looking for a trim, like a half inch. Stylist said that my hair had a lot of breakage, which I know. And asked her to pull my hair back to cut. She said she likes the crisp lines too. Went to the shampoo bowl, she used cold water, and just put the shampoo on my hair and washed it off. Went back to the chair. She ripped an earring out with the brush. I have an undercut and told her what I wanted she didn't exactly do it. She used thinning shears all over my hair instead of actually cutting it. So I still have dead ends. She didn't cut my bangs. I asked her to round brush my hair. She brushed it out straight with a round brush, and I left with damp hair. And it took a total of 30 minutes. And she didn't hardly talk to me. Totally unacceptable. When you charge $50 for a cut. I could have gone to Supercuts or whatever and got the same service for more than half the price. read more

I really really wanted to like this place more than I did. My stylist, I don't want to say her name, was super friendly and accommodating working around my schedule, which can be hectic. I described to her exactly what I was going for, and that somehow got very lost in translation. I hated my hair, and it's the first time ever that I've called to ask for it to be fixed. She made an appointment for me to come back in super quickly, and asked what I was unhappy with, and when I told her that I felt that she'd given me "Mom hair" you could tell she was offended, and then super unhappily attempted to fix it. So while she fixed it, I was so uncomfortable the entire time that I just wanted to go home. I may try it again eventually, but right now, it's kind of a "meh." read more

Stumbled upon this location on accident. Soo happy i did. I went in for a cut and color with Chelsea. My hair was in pretty bad shape beforehand, dead ends, brassy color. I wanted to get a purple color but was a but skeptic thinking i may have to bleach my hair to get good results. Chelsea did wonderful on my hair with no bleaching!!!!! And i absolutely LOVE my results. I got compliments on the color as soon as i walked into work. I just cant being to explain how much i love my hair. I first went to see Christina for a brazilian wax with a Groupon. Her space is very very clean and tidy and she makes the waxing experience as comfortable as possible. I have gotten many brazilians, mostly from lots of different places so I can use Groupons/deals/promotions to save money, so I have had the whole range of waxing experiences over the years; the good, the bad, and the ugly. After one wax with Christina I converted. No longer am I chasing Groupon deals for a cheap wax. It is so worth going to Christina again and again. She is GOOD. I mean, professional, clean, friendly, but most importantly fast (like really fast) without being careless, rough, or sacrificing quality. Also, the least amount of ingrown hairs ever afterwards (score!). Seriously, this girl is a waxing goddess. read more

The environment is very classy and lighting is great for a cut to make you feel good. Stylists know their stuff. I saw Nancy, and she was killer, also a great conversationalist. The first time I went to Catwalk Studio I saw Jen as I had to reschedule last minute and it just so happened she had a next day appointment available. I was pleased with the layers she gave me and would have been happy to see her again but she had made a comment that she was not actually taking new clients which I took to mean I couldn't be a client of hers. For my next appointment I saw Chelsea and ask for lots of layers that are so blended together you can't see them. The layers I got were quite choppy and you could definitely see them as they were in chunks. One day I had an appointment for a bang trim after work at 4:40 and due to police activity on Martin Way I was 5 minutes late. When I get there at 4:45 the lights were off and the door locked. Although, I should have called when I realized I was going to be late I had been told that there is always someone there until at least 5:00. Two weeks ago I went and saw Sophia for a haircut. I chose to schedule with her since she had done a bang trim for me previously and made a comment that shes particular and everything has to be just right which seems like a great quality to have in a stylist. I take in a picture of a cute, round, chin length, sexy bob with lots of face/head framing layers. She doesn't really seem interested in having a discussion about what I want and tells me (not asks) that she is going to cut it a couple inches longer than the picture. I end up with a super blunt, choppy, little kid/Supercuts looking bob with just like one layer about an inch from the bottom. It is also over a quarter inch longer on the right side. Since it was cut shoulder length all it does is flip straight out. To trim my bangs she only made one cut (literally only one!) which left a lot of pieces hanging unevenly at the longer length. After paying $45 for a haircut I had to go home and do my own bang trim which I don't know how to cut hair so now they're all frizzed out. Instead of feeling happy and cute with my new haircut I feel like I'm in a unattractive, frustrating grow out phase. People tell me I should go back and make them fix it but I am afraid to do that. If it were acceptable I would ask for a refund and go elsewhere to have fixed as this cut was a complete waste of money. On a positive note I like how she cut it dry as I think that works better with my hair type (course/thick/heavy) and I appreciated that she didn't want to chat as I'm hard of hearing so that can be awkward. However, I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but she just wasn't pleasant and didn't even so much as smile in my direction until I was leaving. The studio is really nice and has a welcoming atmosphere to it but that doesn't make up for what it's lacking in quality haircuts and customer service so I won't be going back a 4th time.
