17/12/2025 at 3 pm I had a haircut with Bronwen Klein. The appointment was type of walk-in. It may explain the barber shop schoolboy haircut quality I received. The hairdresser was in the hurry. She cut the hair strait on all 4 side and made adjustments when I asked her to do so. The $70 session took 30 min walk in-walk out time. read more

My wife was looking for a new hair stylist. She started having Sun Bowen (pronounced "Soon") cut and color her hair. Stunning results!! Sun has tons of experience, having owned her own shop in the Puyallup/Sumner area for over 10+ years. She recently moved to the Oly area with her husband. Both are avid golfers. On the basis of my wife's wonderful cuts, I started to have Sun cut my hair. While this is no "Grand Torino" type men's shop by any means, Sun more than makes up for the lack of manly ambience with great cuts. And after all, isn't that what you want when you get your hair cut ? Man or woman, we both think you'll be happy with Sun !! read more

Bronwen Klein has been doing my hair for many years, because I have never had a better stylist. She listens, airs on the side of caution and ensures I always leave with exactly what I have asked. Super friendly and fun to chat with. She has some serious talent as a colorist and can pull off a cut with any photo you show her. She's skilled, amazing, funny and kind. There are hair stylists, and there's Bronwen ....she's a true master. read more

This review is about my stylist, Bronwen Klein, who has joined the staff at this super salon. If you are looking for a new look, or updating the one you have, I would recommend her wholeheartedly. She listens to you but also has great ideas of her own. I have my hair highlighted and love the way she makes it look. She's also great about scheduling in real time, so you don't wait long. Love working with her! read more

Well After 6 months of Covid Quarantine my hair needed a good haircut. I just moved to the area and thought I would give this place a shot. Unfortunately I will not be back. My haircut was not even close to what I wanted, mind you I had a significant amount of hair cut. From shoulder length hair to Short edgy Pixie Style. After 45 minutes later and finishing up, the hairdresser DID NOT even show me the back of my hair! Also, I was shocked at $75 for a haircut I was so unhappy with! Never again! read more

My co-worker referred me to this hair salon saying it was the best. So I decided to schedule and went in today for a color. Boy was she right! I have to be honest I was very scared because I have been to many upscale hair salons and my expectations are super high!! But Lindsey was great she listened to what I wanted and listened to my concerns. The color came out just the way I wanted. She did awesome definitely recommending everyone I know. Will definitely be a forever client :) read more

Gary is an artist with hair! I had been a previous customer about 20 years ago and was out of the area for awhile. Found myself closer to the Westside of Olympia and was in need of hair care emergency. My previous stylist was just doing an adequate job. Gary was able to relayer my hair and still leave length. My hair feels so much healthier and was very impressed with my cut when I left. Over 40 years of experience, great stylist and wonderful with all his customers. Love the environment of the salon and staff. read more

I was asked to write this review based on my friends experience here. She knows I love yelp and wanted to give the salon and her stylist kudos so here goes.. Memorial day my friend was looking for a good salon to get her hair cut and she always had this place in mind. When she went in there Kevin was the first stylist to greet her, she told him she wanted her hair cut a bit shorter into a faux hawk style. My friend has really curly thick hair and was surprised by how eager and excited he was to do it, but then informed her he was off that day and would love to cut her hair next week. He recommended some other near by stylist and when she went to see them she was less than thrilled by there reactions toward her curly hair and there inability to understand what she was asking for, so she made and appointment with Kevin later in the week like he advised. When she went in to see Kevin she loved how nice the salon was set up and how energetic, fun and sociable Kevin was toward her. Kevin kept her entertained and engaged in good conversation the whole time he was doing her hair. She came home ecstatic about her hair and everywhere we go she gets dozens of compliments on his work. Definitely recommend, she says she will be coming back in the near future for not just a good hair cut, but fun company! read more

Goodness, where do I begin telling you about Sun (Soon) at Stagework? She is fabulous, amazing, GIFTED, talented, artistic and PROFESSIONAL. Her focus is on her customer-ensuring she knows the latest styles, techniques and services (and she has been a stylist for well over 20 years). She is dependable (she is on time and won't cancel last minute), a pleasure to talk to and every single time I leave the salon, my hair looks terrific. I've had her do a Brazilian blow-out, highlights, color and very technical cuts and she does not disappoint. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. She is that good. read more

I can't recommend Wendi highly enough! She's cut, colored, and styled my hair several times and I'm always happy with the result. Most recently, she did hairstyling for my wedding and everyone looked amazing! read more

Where has she been all my life??? It has taken 67 years to find someone that gives me a consistantly exceptional haircut! Her name is Sun(pronounced "Soon") A younger friend of mine had the best haircut I had seen on her in the past 20 years, and it happened to be Sun's work of art. After one haircut/color, I was convinced she is the most knowledgeable, talented, professional and charming hair stylist I've ever had the pleasure of being introduced to. Now my adult sons and husband also go to her, along with many of my friends. Her work speaks for itself. You will see what I mean. I'm very confident in highly recommending her no matter what challenges you have with your hair. You can call or text her directly at 253.228.9547. Oh, one more thing, you will not only look better but you will feel happier afterwards....she has a way of making the whole world seem right. read more

Stageworks is the Best in Olympia. I have been to Lindsey and know that her mom Jodi is in High demand, with a huge wait list. These two ladies know their stuff. They do color, cuts, and basically anything you need for your hair. The Kanda girls are amazing at what they do, and all of Olympia knows it. I would reccomend Stageworks to EVERYONE in this town. read more

Love Stagework Hair Design! Lindsey is amazing and she is truly passionate about what she does. I've had a few too many hair accidents and I always come back to Lindsey. I drive down from Redmond, Washington to see her. She is also incredibly well priced and I'm pleased after each session. I will continue to be a forever client and stop experimenting with other stylists and salons up here. Love you, Lindsey! read more

Was able to make a same day appt and had a wonderful experience! It's rare that I walk into a salon the same day I decide I need a cut and am treated well AND am happy with the results. KATIE is very sweet, listened to my want list, made suggestions but was not overly pushy. She was easy to talk to, cut and styled my hair quickly and efficiently, gave tips on the best way to style it myself. I was able to take my 4 yo daughter with me and they not only accommodated, but they were great with her. Free Wi-Fi helped. Great products available for purchase, but not pushy about it. Great price for my haircut ($45). And I love what she did with it! I can't think of one thing I would have wanted better. Will definitely be back. read more

Gary did a thorough job cutting my hair and I have a lot of hair. He took his time and made sure it was perfect before I left. It was my first time at the salon, and won't be my last. Very pleased, worth every penny! read more

In my sixty plus years on this planet, this is the best haircut I've ever had! Kevin is beyond professional; he is patient, charming and fun to work with. Now I'm going to have to move from California because this guy is that good! Thank you, thank you, thank you. read more

I tried this salon on recommendation from a friends friend and it was the worst hair color ever. I specifically asked for a warm brown and got pitch matte black. It looked like I bought a $5 box of color and did it myself. Terrible! read more

I went to Allyn Brown earlier this year to get my hair done for a photo shoot last minute. She was able to squeeze me in, and did incredible work! Since then, she's cut, dyed and glossed my hair. She always had great recommendations and has been able to flawlessly create looks that I've coveted for years. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Reasonable prices and great people. read more

I've been going to Stageworks on and off for awhile and will never return. I made an appointment for a trim, and went in later in the afternoon for my haircut. After cutting 5 inches off my hair (when I just wanted a trim), the woman said she was not actually employed by the salon, but occasionally comes in to cut hair there. She then proceeded to charge me $70 for a trim, almost twice the price that Stageworks charges for a haircut. I would not have been as upset about this if I knew that she was an independent hairstylist and would charge that much, but when I called to make the appointment, no one informed me that she would charge double the price. I was not satisfied with my haircut, so I called the salon and left a message explaining the situation, hoping someone could help, and the woman called back only to tell me that she would not be able to fit me in until the next week. Very disappointed in what I thought was a trustworthy salon. read more
