I cannot recommend this salon enough. Firstly, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SALON!! The interior is so lovely and amazing, I really loved how everything was designed. Secondly, I got my haircut by Mary, and she absolutely saved me. I came in with very damaged hair past my shoulders, and I really didn't think there was much we could do to improve my hair. But Mary was so kind and warm and so thoughtful in listening to what problems I had with my hair, and came up with an absolute masterpiece. She was able to make my hair look so much healthier, thicker, and remove so much of the damaged hair but still give me such a flattering cut with amazing layers that frame my face. She even gave me product recs and wrote tips on how I could style my hair- seriously an angel wow. I feel so lucky to have come across this salon on a random day when I was really frustrated with my hair. I would highly highly highly recommend, especially with Mary! All my love for Dollhouse :)))) read more

Dollhouse is such a pretty place. My sister needed her hair done in a rush and Kaila was able to get her in on short notice. Customer service was very kind and she even has a comfortable waiting area while I waited. The other hairdressers were very friendly. I highly recommend anyone get their hair done by her! read more

I have been with Kaila since she graduated hair school and she has been so incredibly consistent over the years. She's thorough and never misses the mark. A moment of silence for that fact that she has successfully gotten black box dye from my hair twice.. which is a hairstylist nightmare! I have had many people do my hair and none of them have stacked up to her. read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about Kaila Wheat! She has truly gone above and beyond for me throughout my entire hair journey. I've been seeing her at The Doll House Salon for over a year, and let me tell you--this woman is a magician. We have tried every shade of red imaginable, and every single time she was completely down for the adventure. Kaila is incredibly quick at what she does, but that comes from YEARS of experience and pure talent. On top of that, she's the proud owner of The Doll House Salon, which is one of the warmest, most welcoming places I've ever been. The ladies who work there are wonderful--there was even a time when two stylists worked on my hair at once, talk about royal treatment! And don't even get me started on the snack cart... it gets me every single time. They stay fully stocked with the most delicious goodies. It's such a small detail, but it shows the level of care they put into making their clients feel comfortable and spoiled. Sitting in Kaila's chair isn't just getting your hair done--it's an experience. You get to know her, you feel welcomed, and you can see the fast, high-quality work she puts into every client. I truly can't recommend her enough. If you're thinking about booking with her, do it. She's the best! read more

Kaila is the BLONDE GURU!! love this salon, the atmosphere, the music, the vibe, 10/10 around!

My wife had an appointment with Grace this morning at 1130. Grace was very communicative in the beginning, but come day of appointment, and Grace is a no show, no answer, well except for the first call, she answered, sounded like a groan, hung up, then straight to voice mail. Wife waited til 1145 and left. Still not a word from Grace. read more

Naomi and Basia did an amazing job with my hair. My hair is very thick and long, which requires a lot of time and care, and both stylists were incredibly patient and attentive to my needs. Basia cut and styled my hair beautifully with layers, face-framing, a trim, and thinning that made it feel so much lighter. Naomi toned and glossed my hair exactly to my liking, giving it a fresh look and also helped with the blow-drying process. I am beyond happy, as I've always struggled to find a salon that can truly accommodate my thick, heavy hair. Thank you so much, Naomi and Basia! read more

I scheduled an appointment and an hour before the appointment, was texted about a cancellation due to the stylist feeling ill but that they would get me rescheduled with someone else if I wanted. After I said yes to being rescheduled with someone else, they reached out and ignored my response when stating which day and time would work best. Unprofessional customer service and this whole business gives off mean girl vibes. read more

Always loved this salon. Miss the original owner lauren, however, there are still some great stylist here like the new owner Kaila and Naomi :) just go, you wont be disappointed read more

Been coming here for about 10 years (Kaila is my hair stylist), and I always leave more than satisfied. Whether I come in knowing exactly what I want, or not. The salon is extremely clean and welcoming and every girl I interact with is kind. I love the vibe here and I can't imagine having to find another salon. read more

I had a wonderful first experience with Cassie at Dollhouse Salon. She has positive energy, is a great listener and took time to show me the back of my hair and ask if I'd prefer it shorter-;which I did. She's genuine, easy to talk to and takes the time to do her magic and connect with you, which is the type of hairstylist everyone needs when entrusting their hair, time and money! Thank you Cassie! read more

I'm not sure if I got a bad stylist or it's all bad. Went in for balage hair and had to go twice and ended up with the worse hair I have ever had. Cost me over 500.00 for horrible burnt wrong color hair. Like I said though not sure if it is all or just her. I saw a gal that was down stairs, she knew the owner, hadnt been out of school to long. I noticed name changed and it has been a couple years. I was so disappointed and when I was looking for my grandaughter a stylist you came up. Thats all I got, way to much money to hate afterwards, Sorry read more

Unfortunately I had the same experience as another reviewer. The single $ for this salon is a very misleading rating, it should be $$$. I'd add more if I could. if you're watching your wallet or trying to stay within a certain budget avoid this place at all costs. I recently visited this salon for the first time as a walk-in, my stylist was Emily. There was no one else there, just the two of us and no other customers called or arrived throughout the entire day. Now I understand why. I have short healthy hair. I asked for a cut and highlights. I've never paid more than $150 to have this done. Just as a reference my daughter has very thick long hair down to her waist and hers costs around $200 for the same services at a nearby salon. So I was completely stunned with the prices I was quoted. She did a big patch test on the back of my head with bleach, it turned out well, but she said that it normally costs around $400-$600 to have this done. Foils/highlights begin at $215 even for short hair. That doesn't include the hair cut which is an additional $65-$70. Color remover is $150, which was a service I didn't need and she didn't know how to use. She literally googled the development time for the color remover on her phone because she'd never used it before. I told her this was way more than I was expecting to pay and I didn't want to go over $250. I wanted to just do the haircut, but her patch test left a huge bleach spot on the back of my head and I felt trapped. In retrospect I should've got up and left because she refused to listen to me. She continued to debate with me for what seemed like eternity and I felt worn down. Without the foils I still paid almost $400. Not only did the math not add up , she used her personal phone to charge my card, not the salon kiosk. Maybe this is standard practice at this salon but it looked sketchy. To make things worse my hair was black, even darker than when I came in. read more

I'm visiting Washington for a month and decided I wanted to get my hair done while here. I googled hair salons and made an appointment with Heather and couldn't be more happy with my choice. I expect you are reading reviews for one of two reasons; 1.) you are happy with your stylist but the quality of their work doesn't match the cost, or 2.) you are unhappy with your stylist and desperately need someone worth your hard earned money. I fit #1 for far too long and finally decided I needed to get connected to whomever this magical stylist is that beautified my already beautiful friend, so I asked for an introduction and set up an appointment - the rest is history. Background: Every time my super close friend got her hair done it was something different (from wild/vibrant colors and overall natural color to hair cuts of all styles, etc.), and every. single. time. I was blown away - to the point of jealousy! Of course I defaulted to thinking the cost was way more than I was willing to spend on myself, ever, so it took me a while to cave and start asking questions.. I still kick myself for not asking my friend about their stylist sooner. Two magical words: Alisha Cochran Alisha meets all the expectations you'd expect of an insanely talented stylist (duration of career, continuing education, etc.) but she is more than that. She is an incredible soul with a heart of pure gold. She is a family woman, down to earth, with the utmost ethics, integrity, and morals. She will not lie or stretch the truth to make clients happy - she will tell you straight up what is and is not possible, always keeping the health of your hair as top priority. As you read reviews you will see frequent complaints that they asked for something specific and didn't get what they asked for - - that won't happen to a client of Alisha's! She will tell you exactly what she thinks it would take to achieve what you are asking for, including the bad news of it not being likely or that it would take multiple sessions. This type of honesty in itself is worth every hard earned penny of mine.. and best of all she is not expensive at all - her prices are reasonable for sure! Yes, Alisha will probably have a full calendar, but she is worth whatever wait there may be. Setting up appointments is easy, and rescheduling (with proper notice, of course) is just as easy. The salon location is easy to get to, and not far off of I-5; parking appears limited but I have never had a problem parking. Bathrooms are available to clients and always clean. Stop relating to #1 or #2 above - Don't wait like I did! Get ahold of Alisha and make the jump now! I promise, you won't be disappointed! read more

Yesterday I went to see Bailey at Dollhouse Salon. I felt welcome from the moment Bailey greeted me. We sat down and talked about what I was looking to have done. I made my appointment from an online app. Bailey took time to read my comments and do some research before I came in. From that moment I knew she was dedicated to making her customers happy. We talked for about 10 mins and shared inspiration pics. I originally wanted to go from bright blonde to strawberry blonde. Big step! By the time I was in her chair I had changed my mind and wanted to take baby steps getting to strawberry blonde coloring. Bailey took time to collaborate with her team and came up with a game plan. She walked me through every step along the way. I absolutely love the way my hair turned out. Thank you so much Bailey for taking pride in your work. You are fabulous! read more

It was my 1st time to the Dollhouse and I have to say...I won't be back. My appointment was scheduled for 9am. I spent probably 15 mins discussing what I was looking for. We discussed what color I currently had in my hair, what color I wanted to get to (I brought a picture in with me) and my stylist assured me that if we didn't get it quite there in my 1st appointment, that we would schedule a 2nd appointment at a later date (which I was fine with). My stylist suggested foils, and divided my hair into 4 quadrants. And she started on my back right side. Foiling took THREE HOURS (approx. 9:30 - 12:15'ish). And during that process, my stylist had to take me back to the sink to rinse the 1st section she had foiled because by the time she got the front section, the bleach in my back right section had been in my hair for much longer than it should have been (over an hour). After letting my front sections process, she rinsed my hair..and kindly suggested that she would give me a deep condition for free. Because during my processing time, she was doing a haircut and a few updo's..(which I totally understand). BUT she left me sitting there, by the sink, with the condition in my hair until ALMOST 3pm. By then, I was SO frustrated, I had NEVER had a hair process take SIX HOURS before. I had to get up from the sink area, walk into the salon and get my stylist's attention because honestly, I was tired of being at the salon. She rinsed out the conditioner and took me back to her chair (by now it was almost 4pm!!!) and started to dry my hair. But instead of the normal round brush (or any brush) she used a detangling comb. For the entire time she was drying my hair. ( I found this very odd ). After drying my hair, she curled it. I stood up, paid and left, I was VERY, VERY aggravated and frustrated. She fried my hair by leaving the bleach in far, far too long. I believe she knew, the second she rinsed my back right quadrant that my hair was fried but instead of stopping, maybe getting advice/assistance from another stylist, she tried to hide the damage by offering me a free deep condition treatment and when that didn't work - she curled my hair (effectively hiding the ends). This happened on Sat. May 4th. I've had to go and get several inches cut off my hair. Because my hair was ruined, broken and uneven. I will never go back to this salon. My experience was awful. Frankly, it will take MONTHS to correct the damage that was done to my hair. (I am including a picture of my hair before visiting the salon, directly after leaving and the day after). read more

There's always some anxiety about going to a new salon to get your hair done but Mary did such an amazing job and knows so much about her field, I almost immediately felt at ease and knew she would take care of me. She listened to what I was looking for and delivered exactly that, she was even able to style my hair even though it was just a cut (my hair struggles to hold a curl) and did an amazing job with the style too. Definitely going to keep coming back and seeing her for any hair needs I might have, can't recommend it more. read more

I went here a total of 3 times over a few years. Each stylist talked major crap about the owner to me. The pricing was ok for what I was requesting so I continued to return despite unprofessionalism.
