After I said yes to being rescheduled with someone else, they reached out and ignored my response when stating which day and time would work best. Unfortunately I had the same experience as another reviewer. The single $ for this salon is a very misleading rating, it should be $$$. I'd add more if I could. if you're watching your wallet or trying to stay within a certain budget avoid this place at all costs. I recently visited this salon for the first time as a walk-in, my stylist was Emily. There was no one else there, just the two of us and no other customers called or arrived throughout the entire day. Now I understand why. I have short healthy hair. I asked for a cut and highlights. I've never paid more than $150 to have this done. Just as a reference my daughter has very thick long hair down to her waist and hers costs around $200 for the same services at a nearby salon. So I was completely stunned with the prices I was quoted. She did a big patch test on the back of my head with bleach, it turned out well, but she said that it normally costs around $400-$600 to have this done. Foils/highlights begin at $215 even for short hair. That doesn't include the hair cut which is an additional $65-$70. Color remover is $150, which was a service I didn't need and she didn't know how to use. She literally googled the development time for the color remover on her phone because she'd never used it before. I told her this was way more than I was expecting to pay and I didn't want to go over $250. I wanted to just do the haircut, but her patch test left a huge bleach spot on the back of my head and I felt trapped. In retrospect I should've got up and left because she refused to listen to me. She continued to debate with me for what seemed like eternity and I felt worn down. Without the foils I still paid almost $400. Not only did the math not add up , she used her personal phone to charge my card, not the salon kiosk. Maybe this is standard practice at this salon but it looked sketchy. Two magical words: Alisha Cochran Alisha meets all the expectations you'd expect of an insanely talented stylist (duration of career, continuing education, etc.) but she is more than that. She is an incredible soul with a heart of pure gold. She is a family woman, down to earth, with the utmost ethics, integrity, and morals. She will not lie or stretch the truth to make clients happy - she will tell you straight up what is and is not possible, always keeping the health of your hair as top priority. As you read reviews you will see frequent complaints that they asked for something specific and didn't get what they asked for - - that won't happen to a client of Alisha's! She will tell you exactly what she thinks it would take to achieve what you are asking for, including the bad news of it not being likely or that it would take multiple sessions. Yesterday I went to see Bailey at Dollhouse Salon. I felt welcome from the moment Bailey greeted me. We sat down and talked about what I was looking to have done. I made my appointment from an online app. Bailey took time to read my comments and do some research before I came in. From that moment I knew she was dedicated to making her customers happy. We talked for about 10 mins and shared inspiration pics. I originally wanted to go from bright blonde to strawberry blonde. Big step! By the time I was in her chair I had changed my mind and wanted to take baby steps getting to strawberry blonde coloring. Bailey took time to collaborate with her team and came up with a game plan. It was my 1st time to the Dollhouse and I have to say...I won't be back. My appointment was scheduled for 9am. I spent probably 15 mins discussing what I was looking for. We discussed what color I currently had in my hair, what color I wanted to get to (I brought a picture in with me) and my stylist assured me that if we didn't get it quite there in my 1st appointment, that we would schedule a 2nd appointment at a later date (which I was fine with). My stylist suggested foils, and divided my hair into 4 quadrants. And she started on my back right side. Foiling took THREE HOURS (approx. 9:30 - 12:15'ish). And during that process, my stylist had to take me back to the sink to rinse the 1st section she had foiled because by the time she got the front section, the bleach in my back right section had been in my hair for much longer than it should have been (over an hour). After letting my front sections process, she rinsed my hair..and kindly suggested that she would give me a deep condition for free. Because during my processing time, she was doing a haircut and a few updo's..(which I totally understand). BUT she left me sitting there, by the sink, with the condition in my hair until ALMOST 3pm. By then, I was SO frustrated, I had NEVER had a hair process take SIX HOURS before. I had to get up from the sink area, walk into the salon and get my stylist's attention because honestly, I was tired of being at the salon. She rinsed out the conditioner and took me back to her chair (by now it was almost 4pm!!!) and started to dry my hair. But instead of the normal round brush (or any brush) she used a detangling comb. For the entire time she was drying my hair. ( I found this very odd ). After drying my hair, she curled it. I stood up, paid and left, I was VERY, VERY aggravated and frustrated. She fried my hair by leaving the bleach in far, far too long. I believe she knew, the second she rinsed my back right quadrant that my hair was fried but instead of stopping, maybe getting advice/assistance from another stylist, she tried to hide the damage by offering me a free deep condition treatment and when that didn't work - she curled my hair (effectively hiding the ends). This happened on Sat. May 4th. I've had to go and get several inches cut off my hair. Because my hair was ruined, broken and uneven. I will never go back to this salon. My experience was awful. Frankly, it will take MONTHS to correct the damage that was done to my hair. (I am including a picture of my hair before visiting the salon, directly after leaving and the day after). read more

Cassie Hammer is amazing! Super sweet, sociable and efficient! She's given me and helped maintain my undercut several times, as well as giving me a blonde balyage for my latest visit. No easy feat as I have thick dark Asian hair. I have been seeing Chantal for my past few salon visits, my usual stylist is coming up on retirement and I needed to find someone else or be left in the dark so to speak. I had been meaning to write a review for Chantal for some time, but after today I knew I needed to do it ASAP since she deserves it. My hair is finicky, it literally does almost the opposite of what it is supposed to frequently when I try to dabble in color changes. Chantal had recently done a beautiful mushroom brown balayage on me and for some reason my hair didn't hold the color after I washed it at home several days later. She immediately rescheduled me to fix it at no charge within the week and took her time with formulating things differently to try and give my hair some more staying power. She is a perfectionist, and her chair-side manners are impeccable. She spent so much time on me today to make sure I left happy, you just don't find people like that often anymore.
