The stylist (who was super nice) made my hair a lot better than it was...was it perfect? No. Would I go back? Maybe. For the price I paid ($70) I expected more. I had to go home and trim parts she missed. There are things that didn't get cut or blended. I feel like I have dog ears. We did have good convo and she was super sweet, so I hesitated to write a review, honestly. I'd like to get my hair shaped up and highlighted but not sure I'll go back here. The facility is nice- really clean and modern. Weird being asked to wash my hands the second I walk into the salon. They have a nice little selection of things to buy as well as offering many ...procedures? This place is overpriced, and if you don't call to cancel within 24 hours because you're stranded in the middle of nowhere with no cell service you get charged hundreds of dollars for the missed appointment. I finally found signal and gave 21 hours notice but that wasn't enough for Vanessa (Manager)! Four stars for a nice, clean, airy and bright salon with reasonable prices. I've only come for haircuts but would be interested in trying other services in the future. They recommend product but aren't too pushy about it, which is definitely appreciated. They also respected my desire for no products to be used due to scalp issues. Amirah is a great stylist. I DO NOT recommend wasting money here for the eyelash extension service. Lash enthusiasts KNOW this is NOT the spa for good lash extensions! -Red Flag #1 There's a reason they always have open availability for lash extensions unlike other spas/ dedicated lash studios in the area where booking is more than 1 1/2 weeks out (only reason I booked here) -Red Flag #2 There are no recent photos of eyelash extension work from the current technicians or from clients posting photos and raving about their beautiful lashes & recommending 'their' lash lady. -Red Flag #3 None of the client reviews even mention receiving eyelash extensions here. The lash technician I was with, was unprofessional and did not provide a quality spa experience. She made me feel like she was a new student practicing casually on my eyelashes at some cheap nail salon...surprisingly she tells me she's been working there for 2 years...YIKES! My experience: -After wasting money and time, 2 hours later for a full set, it doesn't even look like the lady was efficient with her time, and the set was very sparse and underwhelming. I had classic flat lashes done by many other places and I know what to expect. -The technician's lack of skill and knowledge needed to choose the proper lash style for long straight lashes left me with lash extensions that are not even noticeable. Other places tailor the extensions to suit the clients current t lash situation and preference. -Very poor lash retention, by the 3rd day, I only had 6 extensions left on my right eye. -Overpriced for the 'non-spa like' quality of the service. She was nice and really chatty but didn't seem to focus well on my service as she did not seem steady or pay close attention to detail.. all over the place...sloppy in her actions. Not taking her time to meticulously place the eye pads to pin my bottom lashes down. -My eye burned and teared through most of the service as she rested herself on my forehead and on top of my bangs, rubbing them every which way since she did not pin them back or put a headband on me like other nice salons. -She did not inquire or stop to check on how my eyes were doing even when it was visibly and uncontrollably tearing. -Her plucking my eyelash was painful as she attempted to take apart the ones glued together (seemed continuous through this messy service) -She seemed very careless, even applying a lash extension to my bottom lash (noticed when I got home) - Some extensions were wonky, not applied in the same direction -Service ended weirdly, she didn't even give me a handheld mirror so I can 'admire' her work. She just walked to the doorway and said I can get up now As the technician explained, "this spa is a one stop shop", which means, they can do a little bit of every thing. She's right! They don't exactly specialize in just eye lash extensions. They can do eyelash extensions..HORRIBLY...if you don't have any other options and just want some on at the last minute! Next time I'll plan ahead and book with my preferred lash boutiques down the road for a quality job and top notch quality experience. read more

I have been coming to see Malarie since the beginning of 2019. After moving 2000+ miles away from home and my trusted hairstylist I already knew it would be hard to find someone I could trust with my blond locks! I had gone to another stylist October 2018 and was mortified by her work on my hair and her attitude. I then found Malarie and have not stopped going to see her! The photo below is just proof of what her hands can do! This is my 3rd or 4th time seeing her this year and she never disappoints. I always get compliments on my hair after it is done. And it makes me happy being my bouncy blond self again. I can't wait to see what my hair looks like in my sons newborn photos we will be taking in a few short weeks! I'll preface this review by saying I called back in early July wanting to get my hair done since it had been a while due to COVID. I called a few salons, all booked out, and found Arch on yelp so figured what the heck, I'll give it a shot. I ended up booking an appointment just over a month out. They had some sooner but without time to also do a color. This was my first time coming to this salon. It can always be a bit scary going somewhere new. The evening before, I got a text about the protocol- text when you arrive, wear a mask, wash hands. The process of checking in went seamlessly and the extra precautions they took to limit crowding in the lobby was great! My first impression of the salon was that it was very clean and felt comfortable. The esthetician side is on one side and hair on the other. I liked the layout, and the room for hairstylists had lots of natural light. Everyone in the salon was super friendly. I saw Leah to get my hair done and went in with somewhat of an idea, a few pictures, talked to her about it and she made it happen better than I could've dreamed of. I got a full balayage, root smudge, toning, and trim/framing. She spent almost 4 hours on my hair total and the outcome was exactly what I wanted! I've had balayage done before and the pricing at this salon was good. Leah also took the time to talk to me about what I can ask for when I want a touch up, help pick me out good shampoo and conditioner, and schedule me a follow up before I move out of state. I'm sad to find an amazing hair stylist right before I leave, but I'm so glad I was able to get in and get my hair done and I'm so happy with how it turned out. Terrible customer service. I was so excited when I booked an appointment to have my eyebrows hennaed. I got to my appointment early on a Saturday and waited for the text telling me to come on in. Imagine my surprise when I went in and they had no record of me at first. But then it came to light that they had another location, and that my appointment had been booked at the other place. The person at the first location told me they would call the other place and let them know I was on the way. So I hopped in my car and drove there as quickly as I could. Then, when I got there - 10 minutes after my appointment time - they said that they couldn't fit me in because I was late. While that would have been frustrating enough, I would have gotten over it. But when they said that I had to pay a cancellation fee, that was just too much. When I booked the appointment over the phone, no one mentioned that there was more than one location. Neither did the text I received confirming my appointment. To not only offer zero apologies for the confusion, but to have the audacity to want to charge me a cancellation fee? No. Sorry. I wasn't 100% satisfied with how my dark hair took to the toner after the first visit...today I went back in and Andrea (who is either the owner or manager, I'm unsure) was warm, listened intently, and re-toned my hair giving it more of the subtle look I was going for. I just moved to the area a couple months ago and had been looking for a salon that was close-by. I am so glad I found Arch! It is the cutest little salon/spa! I made an appointment to get my haircut with Emily (recommended by other reviewers) and she did not disappoint! When you walk in everything is decorated super cute and the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. I only had to wait a couple minutes and Emily came out and directed me to the small little salon area. I haven't had a good haircut in years, and my hair has been super long and damaged for months now so I knew I wanted it shorter (going for a lob kind of style) but still long enough to put in a ponytail or bun. I was nervous to cut off so much but she made me feel so comfortable and she gave me exactly what I wanted, and more! It's the perfect cut and so easy to manage now. I know I will definitely be coming back in the near future and I can't wait to try out the spa side next! UPDATE: I've been going to Arch for almost two years now and still love it! Disappointed. I brought my daughter here to get a blue balayage with her natural light brown hair blended into blue. The bleach/"balayage" was very bad , not well blended and not even the same shade of blond, so we had to do an all over blue to blend it so it didn't look so bad. I saw Ashley for a cut and deep condition and she was WONDERFUL! She listened to exactly what I wanted then took the time to educate me on the different products she thought would be beneficial for my often color treated hair - taking my concerns into consideration versus just trying to sell me something. It felt like I was having a conversation with a friend - not pushy, just informational. The haircut turned out exactly like I imagined and described to her and I couldn't be happier with the outcome, I already booked my next appointment. We're so lucky to have Arch. Emily is such a talent when it comes to both color and cut. I've been seeing her at two salons for 3 years and she is an absolute magician at finding and delivering stunning color (I've had all over, foils, balayage). I don't even have to ask or show; Emily knows what works for me every time. She's an artist. On cuts; she's one of four stylists to master a ridiculously complicated asymmetrical asymmetrical bob I requested when Emily was in her early 20s. Stylists with 30 years experience from Bellevue to Spokane couldn't cut the style straight. As far as I can tell, she's the best in the state. I also have seen Soren for deep tissue massage for the past eight months. I have struggled with chronic neck, back and shoulder pain on one side for the past 13 years, and tried absolutely everything from corsets to pillows to muscle relaxers to alternative medicine. In two visits Soren fixed me permanently. It's really hard to believe that someone could so clearly and tactically correct such a chronic issue. I haven't had the same issues since and it's frankly shocking how much her expertise improved my lifestyle and happiness. I've also loved their brow tinting and will be in soon for microblading and lashes. They do everything well and without pretense. They're structured around customer service and customer comfort/relaxation. Online booking, card memory and delicious tea are just the first of amenities. Arch is a group that is very serious about delivering quality at prices far too low for the happiness they afford their patients. I recommend them to anyone, for any service, by anyone they employ. I've been there twice and booked both appointments online. I booked a package deal for a massage and facial that was not handled well. The massage was great but when a customer books a package deal it would be nice to have it correctly scheduled and honored. They should probably fix the issue on their website too.
