I've been a regular customer for several years, but this was my last visit. I was harassed by the staff about my tips not being enough (usually I order takeaway, but apparently they hold a grudge and remember your tip history). The server left my table after I paid 10%, shaking his head and talking to his coworkers, so I called back on the phone and spoke to the manager. The manager doubled down and complained (politely) that I usually tip 10% and it is not enough, telling me that it results in her staff getting paid $2 per hour. If I get fantastic, above and beyond service, I usually tip around 18%, but in average cases I do 10%. Costs are rising everywhere and businesses are subsidizing their employees' wages at the customer's expense everywhere. It's a shame because the food is quite good, but they expect at least 20%+ in tips every time and are seemingly not shy to tell you this. I won't return. read more

Pad Thai was very good, not as spicy as I would have preferred, but delicious. Level five is suppose to be the hottest, but another two levels higher would have been fine. We sat outside and we're very comfortable. Lyna was our server and she was most helpful. She saw to it that we wanted for nothing, whatever we asked for she would run inside to get it. We wanted to try some place new, and with all the new ones in McKinney the choices are many. We have talked about going here after driving by it and when I opened Yelp and found the ratings so high I knew this was the place for a casual Friday date night. The place was packed when we got there, so we had to wait for a table. Only 10 minutes or so. The smells were enticing and we knew the taste must be the same. We were not disappointed. Started with the edamame and spring rolls. Both were perfect. Gabby was our server and she obviously loves her job as she gave recommendations of her preferences and was very attentive even with a full house. My wife had the Yellow Curry, which she said was the best she has had, and I had the Pad Kee Mow. I like very spicy food so I asked Gabby (who likes spicy too) about the heat ratings. I choose number 5 and was not disappointed. My wife can eat raw jalapenos and it was too hot for her, but I loved it. Just GO and you too will not be disappointed. read more

This is the second time we've ordered from the McKinney location & it's the second time our order was not as requested. Neither order had any spice to it despite asking for levels 4 & 3. My husband's Thai Basil barely had any Thai Basil, both times. And this second time ordering I requested a side order of red curry & was given yellow curry which screwed up my entire red curry dish once poured on top (since I made the foolish assumption they knew the difference). After calling 8 times to make them aware that the guys in the kitchen were not reading orders correctly, someone finally picked up, barely offered an apology once made aware, & no semblance of restitution. Favorite Thai restaurant in McKinney hands down. AMAZING, kind, helpful staff. When there's an issue they're very generous in fixing it. The food is INCREDIBLE; Pad See Iew, Pineapple Fried rice, curries- They're all delicious!! Many vegan/vegetarian options, you just have to clarify which dishes have fish sauce with the staff, and the tofu is literally perfect. The tom yum and Tom kha soup are also fantastic.
