What truly sets this place apart from any other gym or workout is the people that teach and run it. They are not only concerned with each and every participant's workout, but they know everyone's name and many are aware of their lives too. Side note if you want to change your life and drop 20 pounds; rise early (if helps your metabolism to rise with the earth) and exercise every morning until the weight is off then u can drop down to 5 days a week if u like. We moved from Portland and I belonged to a Bar studio there, which I loved. Haven't done anything since, except try to do yoga videos on Amazon (it's not the same as going to a class, mostly because I have a hard time keeping myself focused and motivated). I attended my second class at YogaJoy today (PiYo with Kimmie) and it rocked. Kimmie is such a fantastic, enthusiastic, and helpful instructor (I also took her Buti Yoga class last week - such a fun class!). The other students in the class were super nice, too, as well as everyone else working at the studio (I like nice people - I am immediately turned off by anyone snobbish, which has not been the case here). The location of this studio works for me (there's literally nothing else closer except maybe a gym in Deer Park). Also - they offer childcare. What?! That's amazing. (I have a 2 and a 4 year old.) Part of me doesn't even want to write this review because I don't want let the secret out, but I'd be doing Spokanites a disservice if I didn't. I've done spin classes, step classes, barre classes, crossfit, etc., and nothing has fit me better than Catalyst's small group training class. The max amount of people is 8, so it fits my comfort zone, perfectly. I get that 1:1 attention from the trainer without having to go to personal training. However, I mix that in, too. Last year, I let myself go, and I needed a place to get me back on track. THIS is that place! The icing on the cake is that Matt, and the other trainers are so welcoming and friendly. Plus, they give me free chilled water and towels, and I can use their cardio equipment anytime. WIN! If you're tired of big workout classes, but still want that 1:1 attention from a trainer - this is the class for you. I am SO glad that I took that first step to get a consultation. They've changed my life for the better, and I hope (from this review) others take advantage of that. You're really missing out if you don't.
