Great water park with cool rides and many attractions. Good deals for the amount of things to do at the park I would definitely come again.

It's not a bad place at all, you just have to come at the right time if not your screwed.

This place is DISCUSTING WAY OVER CROWDED ! , nothing like thier videos show way to many people , the lazy river looked like a can of sardines, can only imagine all the pee in the water. GROSS. Good place to take the kids for several hours. Safe rides, pretty clean place. Close to home and season pass makes it a bargain. On the weekend it's JAM PACKED which causes a bit of chaos on certain rides. A bit more organization from the staff during these busy times would make the experience even better. read more

This is a good place to go to if there are no other, more exciting water parks around. They have a couple of decent things here, but, really, no WOW ride. The Bullet Bowl was nice, but, for instance, I ve seen similar rides at other parks which are bigger, longer, more exciting. The bathrooms here are not pleasant, and it seems like nobody is there on a regular basis to clean them. The kids water area is ok, and the lines are average. That being said, we were here after 3 on a Sunday, weather was cloudy. If was regular day, and sunny, I am sure waits would have been out the door! Overall, if there is nothing else closer, and you want a water place, this is good. But, again, definitely not great. read more

I visited Splash Down Beach for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! Splash Down Beach is very clean and there are many employees walking around constantly cleaning should there be any litter. There are many places to eat with ample seating. There is a lazy river, wave pool, regular pool, and numerous slides of various thrill levels. I visited on a weekday and the lines for the slides were not unbearably long. There is an adorable area for young children and toddlers as well. I will absolutely be back to visit this summer, and next summer, I may even buy an annual pass. read more

If your planning to go more than 3 times a year get a season pass because it's over 30 dollars per day and the food is expensive in there. If you wanna avoid half an hour lines go in the AM and weekdays because it's not jam packed. I would give it less stars but the place is not bad and the harsh situations are avoidable if your gonna become a yearly splash down goer, unfortunately due to a very small place next year I will not be getting a splashdown pass instead I'll get hurricane harbor even though it's farther for me. read more

Went here with my family and two teenage nieces and a nephew. Now for a small water park this place is great. Things are close together so it's not overwhelming like it could be at some of the bigger waterparks. They have things to do for kids and adults. I would give it 5 stars if I was just rating my family's experience. But by the 4th hour there, I could tell that my nieces and nephew had gotten bored. We went there with our family including kids ages 7, 5, 2. The park was super fun for all of them - and for us. There are rides and areas for all ages. I saw some other reviews that didnt make sense to me. The park has plenty of shaded area. In fact the 'beach' in Splashdown Beach is not just a term. The park dedicates a lot towards creating a true beach atmosphere. There is sand everywhere, cabanas, sun umbrellas etc. It feels as if a water park was plunked onto a nice beach. I also liked that there were better food options than would be typical of such a place. There were salads and healthy sandwiches available (in addition to the typical park food). The price is not cheap, but there is value. Splashdown is a notch above other parks in its class in terms of attention to detail and general elegance. It salvages the spirit of an old fashioned water park while offering all modern amenities. Highly recommended. read more

has a really nice layout and a good atmosphere; feels like a disney park. however, it gets boring within its first hour. the wave pool is tiny and shallow. the next pool is also small and crowded, not deep. there's one decent ride.. I honestly feel this is for younger children. mountain creek is mount olympus compared to this. read more

After spending $35 per person and $9 for a "reusable diaper", we found the park to be dirty and not very friendly to the younger kids. For starters, not one kid other than ours was wearing the "reusable diaper" so that was kind of pointless. Then, shipwreck, whatever it's called, was so packed that there was no room to move. The lazy river smelt like poop. And we saw multiple bandaids floating in the wave pool, disgusting! To top it all off, my husband got his flip flops stolen right before we were about to leave. Definitely wouldn't waste my time or money again with this expensive and dirty park! For another $100, we could have gone to hurricane harbor or sesame street.. which are a lot nicer and have a lot more to offer! read more

Brought the grandkids who had been there before and loved it. I could not believe how crowded it was. We couldn't find chairs so sat on a shady lawn area. The rides are great but the lines were ridiculous. I felt sorry for my grandkids as they had look forward to this but the wait on lines was discouraging. I think the park needs to set a limit on how many people are allowed in. It has to be a health hazard to have so many people in a pool at once. The wave pool was so crowded that when the waves let loose, kids were bumping into each other and there was no way the lifeguards could truly watch out for everyone. Not sure we will go back unless something is done to help the overall crowd situation. read more

Took my family for a day of fun. We have never been there. We have lived in Fishkill for 16 years. . We had a very bad time. It was over crowed and they had to close wave pool 3 times for human waste. We got so sick from that we left. Me and my wife emailed theme to complain about our experience. I dont normally write reviews but for this place I had to because it will benefit our children. This place is small, maybe 6 attractions the most, 2 areas for toddlers. The 1st toddler attraction is so small, the sprinklers at my local park is twice the size. The 2nd is the kiddie pool, that was dirty with countless dead bugs in the water. My 3 year old threw up in the pool whiles we were there, and no one cared. I had to rush her out the water myself. No one evacuated the area, so whiles my childs puke is floating in the water other little children were still playing in the same water!! Mind you the life guard was right there. I would never recommend this place for anyone's child. It a joke for waterpark. They make you pay $9 for toddler diapers that do not even protect your child's pampers. and If you need a new one you have to walk all the way to the front of the park and join the admission line. On the plus side, the food isn't as expensive as you would assume for a water park. This place seems like a last minute idea put together park just to charge people. your better off at the beach or public pool. read more

We went to SplashDown Beach for the first time yesterday. 5 kids ages 4-8 really enjoyed all of the activity areas that they had for their age group. Everything was clean, plenty of lifeguards. However, I found some policies listed on their web site not to be enforced while we were there. Per the web site, it says outside food and drinks are not permitted in the park. There were plenty of people (not camps, just regular families) with outside food, making sandwiches etc on the regular tables. So outside food and drinks were let in. Also the web site says that no flotation devices are allowed, that you had to use theirs. Again this was not the case. Everyone with little kids had brought their floaties from home. There were not enough life jackets available for those who didn't bring one. From what I saw yesterday, bring your food, drinks and floaties and have a great day! read more

I used to love this place a few years ago. Last summer I didn't make it because every free weekend I had it rained so we finally made it back this year and I have to say I was so disappointed. This place used to be a nice little secret away from the bigger major parks. They extended the parking lot so now, the park that is not big to begin with, is beyond crowded. There are lines for everything; rides, bathrooms, food even to rent a locker. The wave pool is small and was so crowded when the waves started you just got bumped and banged by everyone around you. The shipwreck area for toddlers was insane. You couldn't even move. The regular pool was just so crowded you couldn't swim. You literally just stand there. I wish it was back to the old way when it was comfortable and felt like it was a place for younger kids. There's not enough to do for the amount of people they let into the park. Don't even get me started on the lazy river. You can't even float. You get stuck in the droves of people. And if you want to go around more than once you have to exit and get back On line. It's the worst. Waste of money. Sadly this will be my last time. I couldn't deal with how overcrowded they allow it to be. It's not safe. read more

This was our fourth trip to Splashdown in Fishkill with three kids, plus another family with two kids. We really enjoy the park, the rides and the family atmosphere, However, today it was seriously overcrowded. The wave pool was filled with people, so much so that you could not move without bumping into anyone. The lazy river was so crowded that they removed you from the ride after circling once. The line for the Bullet Bowl was 45 minutes. Staff was great, grounds well kept, just really too, too crowded. Aren't there limits to how many people can get into a pool? read more

I've taken my children here since new ownership in 2004, and not only has the park been spotlessly maintained, but the fact that they add a new attraction EACH YEAR is incredible!! Food by Cosimo's is always delicious, and we cannot wait for next summer season. read more

The customer service here is atrocious. Every year I bring groups here and usually we deal with the terrible customer service but this year has far surpassed others. No one seems to communicate at all as we were put in touch with several different staff while planning our trip, all who gave us different paperwork, all which had multiple mistakes. When we were finally given the correct paperwork, the staff had the audacity to yell at us for not having it done quicker!?? Which was their fault! We were then treated horrendously when we showed up, complete with eye rolling and sighing, as we were refused admittance because we had paid too much and had a smaller group than we had paid for. (Mind you we didn't even ask for a refund). After 20 min of waiting we were reluctantly let in and staff at the park contacted us and placed the blame on us again for their own ineptitude. Drove over 2 hours to be kicked out of the park two hours early due to a private event. Exactly what another yelp user have happen to them weeks earlier. This is inexcusable. We were only told this upon arrival. We had already bought tickets and fought traffic so we could not turn back. We also purchased a cabana for the day which we could now use for only a few hours. This was the only hiccup. The staff was excellent and the slides were fun. I would have given it more stars had it not been for the park closing early. read more

We moved here last year and we got the season passes and its the best thing we did, we went to the park almost every day and we had a blast the Kids loved it and so did we , we cant wait for this Summer to do it all over again .oh and its not that small of a park. read more

I worked here for the summer and all i can say is shame on them. I was working 10 hour days in 85-95 degree weather with no break at all to eat or get something to drink. I was also not able to even have any tip jars out because it's "not fair to be making my own money and not giving any of it to the Park." They did not treat me right at all and i told everyone i know about how they treated me. With the way they treated me and their other employees, i know for sure i will never be going there again. We've been living in this area(poughkeepsie) for a few years and this is our first visit to this park(although we pass by it almost every day). The reason is our kids are not old enough to be able to swim yet. We got there at 3pm and found out they have a cheaper ticket if you enter after 3pm(like adult pays $23 and kids pay $20). It's still a little expensive but after you see what's inside you will feel it's totally worth it. They have slides and pools for all ages. The bob builder section is for toddlers and bigger kids have a lot more fun. They even have an animal show with 2 bengal tigers which is awesome. Sadly, my 2nd child is not tall enough for most of the rides and she's very very upset. She actually sneaked through one of the tall slides(the one that you slide down on top of a blue foam matt) and enjoyed it a lot. On her second attempt she was caught by the lifeguard and was send down the stairs(crying). We have barely tried everything when the park is closing. I overheard on the radio that if you go to the frontdesk and exchange for a season pass, you can deduct the entrance fee for today's visit, which makes the season pass a lot more seasonable. What's more enticing is you get the 2015 season pass and then you can get the rest of 2014 free! Such a no-brainer! I exchanged the ticket stub for season passes, and now our kids go to the park every day(each time just play there for 2 hours). They enjoyed it so much that they can't wait for the afternoon time. The weather is turning colder so I guess we probably will just go there a few more times and wrap it up for this year. Next year we will try to send the kids there every afternoon(since my 2nd kid should be tall enough for the rides she really liked). read more

Great visit with the family. The place is very clean and very organized. They take pride in their business. There are plenty of chairs and tables to put your stuff. Employees are friendly and helpful. The food at Cosmos Grill was just ok....so next time we get lunch at their Nathans instead. The kids had a great day at the water park. read more

SPLASHDOWN WATER IS DIRTY AND CONTAINS NASTY BACTERIA! I took my son and his friends to Splashdown for his birthday and I will never go there again! First, I tried to book a birthday package which was ridiculously expensive and it DID NOT include any food. They took my info via phone and every time they sent me the contract, it was incorrect (wrong amount of people included/our name was incorrect etc.). Well after that I decided to not buy a package at all and just go there as a regular group so they told me that since we were a party of 8, we could get the group rate on food. Well when we got there, that was not the case at all either. But while all these things are quite minor, what isn't minor is that 5 out of 6 of the kids in my group got horribly sick the next day after leaving the park. My 13 year old son, my infant daughter who was 11 months old and 3 other kids ranging age 13 and 12, all from different households. I had to rush my infant daughter to urgent care after having a fever of 102.7 and my son 101.7. My daughter, and two other kids ended up having coxsackie virus which is a painful infection that causes blisters in the mouth and throat sometimes caused from dirty feces near the mouth. My son and the other girl had Tonsillitis, which is inflammation of the tonsils caused by a viral or bacterial infection of the mouth. Needless to say, Splashdown caused this outbreak. Water gets in your mouth when on water rides and usually water is splashing in your face at all times! These kids all live in different households and all acquired the same symptoms and variations of a bacterial infection after a trip to Splashdown.There is no doubt in my mind that Splashdown is not treating their water property in this hot Summer season for bacterial growth or fecal matter in their water. I am so disgusted that I even exposed my kids and the kids of my adult friends to this disgusting dirty water park. More people should complain if they experience anything like this, and Splashdown should be reported so that this does not happen again to their own children. read more
