Our pool and spa have been maintained by Splash Pools for over ten (10) years now. This year we had to have the pool drained, tile cleaned as well as the calcium build-up on the rock removed. Quite an extensive job was needed. It required knowledge of what type of products to be used and pure muscle. Not only was it a sweltering hot day, the two (2) man crew had to wear protective gear while working. This two (2) man crew, Stanley and Dorian worked diligently with enthusiasm. Service has recently went downhill and when I reached out the Scott the previous owner he let me know he sold and no longer owns the business. Since the rates have increased and service has declined. I requested service last week for algae and auto fill valve which a tech was sent and supposedly treated for algae but 4 days later I have more and the pool is cloudy. Nothing was fixed in the auto fill valve either and now I have sent 4 emails including pics of the pool and not gotten a response in the past 5 days. When you call the office you just get a VM. Higher rates and bad service don't go hand in hand and I will be looking for new service now. read more

Do not recommend if you have a anything but a very basic pool (even then find another provider). Certainly not qualified for high-end pool maintenance. Very-very poor communication. We have unique settings for pumps and a simple request not to touch settings unless requested. New guy will show up from time to time and mess up all settings - we have lost over 10K gallon water more than once. Could have been much worse if we did not catch that the pool is draining to the trough and down the hill to neighbor's backyard :(. For the last 6 months we were regularly billed but apparently nobody ever cleaned the pool - we have pictures to prove, that much dirt can only be accumulated over long period of time. And when you demand proper service they just treat you like a very difficult client that is asking for stars (no, just a clean pool that is operating ... period). What else, did not change the filters or told us they need changing until both pumps stopped working. Below is picture of our pool that has been "cleaned" after multiple complaints. Anyone wants an algae bath (probably they think it is healthy)? Just terrible, stay away, you do not deserve to be tortured and ignored for your money. Hector came out to give me an estimate on Monday foe a new variable speed pump - I was given 2 options which was great and the price was the lowest of 10 quotes for the same pump. He was able to get me scheduled only two days later, he called to make sure the time was ok and he came and installed the new pump in less than 45 minutes. My 30 year old unrepairable pool/spa heater died. Based on reviews, I contacted Splash Pool for an estimate to replace it with a 400,000 BTU heater. A very pleasant, knowledgeable, and caring Rep came out, investigated my situation, took pictures and on July 29th I got an email quote "good for 30 days". In the meantime I sought and received other quotes for the exact same heater and same exact installation. Although not the low bidder, I decided to give them the job because of the many good reviews and the trust I had in the techie. On August 20th I went to respond to their email quote and accept their bid - but they had deleted it. I asked what happened and was told they'd have to have another guy come out and requote - even tho the "good for 30 days" quote was still valid. I told the new techie that based on my history as the retired Director of Purchasing at UNLV, I had obtained other, lower bids already so he should make sure his bid was competitive. But he did not spend even 5 minutes looking at my existing layout. And less than 15 minutes later I received an email quote that was $216.75 higher than their first "good for 30 days" bid. In that little time there could not have been any checking of prices or analysis put into figuring the new bid. Since they would not honor their initial "good for 30 days" quote, and since the second techie put absolutely no effort in coming up with a competitive bid, and since that combination eroded any and all trust I had with them, I contracted for this job with one of their competitors. I'm glad I did since 4 of the last 7 reviews, including this one, have been negative. read more

After searching for a reliable pool guy in the Henderson area, I gave up for lack of one, and learned the trade myself. There's a lot to learn, but it's not rocket science. ANYONE can maintain a pool if they wish to do the work. Other than maintaining chemicals, empty your skimmer daily, your pump basket once a week, a wall scrub twice a week and fill your pool. That being said, I read all of the one star reviews written by people who have no idea how to: *empty a skimmer basket. *throw in a couple of one pound bags of shock every week or so to keep the pool clear and green away. *check chemical levels with a test kit, or test strip. *buy a robot vacuum to do the labor? In my opinion, It's safe to say, you can ignore the one star reviews written by ignoramuses. SPLASH POOL SERVICE beat the 4 other companies I asked to give me and honest estimate by price, professionalism, knowledge, and service. Actually, it was not even a close race. Let me start by saying, having a competent technician work on your pool is heaven. Hector called and scheduled a time to begin the pool draining and wash, and was there at the time he stated. He then advised that it would take approximately 18 hours to drain the pool. The next morning he showed up at 7 and began the cleaning process. I was expecting a crew to come but he was so efficient and meticulous, it was a one-man job for Hector. He would use some equipment and be done with it and immediately put it away. The backyard was clean and neat the entire time. When I was done he explained what the next process would be and I asked him about different things regarding my pool equipment and he was very knowledgeable and gave good advice on what I should or should not do. We had an appointment yesterday for repair. My husband was told on the phone last week the repair person would be here at 9. At 9;30 no one here so he called and was transferred to the tech who said he was here at 8. This is not true we were at home with a dog that barks if anyone walks up walk . Repair person to come tomorrow and was in area around 9 *** update 9:45 on Friday the repair guy showed Said he was hung up with another job. My husband and I needed assistance after my father in law passed. We needed to find someone to maintain the pool, we received one visit/quote from another company who upon looking around moved some valve positions which started the pool draining into the hot tub and the hot tub overflowing. This wasn't noticed until we woke the next day. With my husband and I not having any pool knowledge we turned it all off to stop the overflowing, called several companies that either couldn't fit us in or couldn't get to us for a few weeks.
