Jace showed up on Monday as promised and replaced our pentair filter (that cracked and started to leak) with the newer model. We had recently replaced the filter cartridges in our previous filter and he made sure to save those for us (without asking). He also told us to save the pressure gauge off the old one (also fairly new) since they fail pretty regularly. He could have easily taken any of these items with him, however, he did not. We needed to up-date and automate our existing pool/spa equipment, In-order to make more convenient to use the spa/pool without having to go to the pool equipment and play around with the valves, pump and heater. We have been using this company for years. But have to echo other recent reviews about how poor their service has become. The individual techs have been fine, but their customer service is non existent. Service levels are going down, prices are going up, No one ever answers the phone and never respond to voice messages left. If by some miracle someone does respond and make an appointment, half the time the tech doesn't show up. We have been trying for a month to get our pump fixed, they've missed at least two appointments and we have no new pump just a green pool, oh, and constantly increasing estimates asking for bigger and bigger deposits when nothing has been done. Tomorrow we will be canceling our monthly cleaning service and finding another company. But they'll probably never know because they don't answer their phones. And we probably have to kiss the $400 in deposits for work not done goodbye too, Steer well clear. read more

I was able to speak directly with the owner when I had questions and he was very responsive to everything. I highly recommend Splash Pool Service for pool equipment repairs. My Hayward EcoStar VSP stopped working and I needed to get it repaired or replaced. I requested a quote from another pool company that had high ratings on HomeAdvisor but after waiting for four days without a reply, including a follow-up call to their answering machine, I decided I needed to find another company. I found Splash by searching on the internet and was impressed by how high their ratings were and the number of reviews, over 80. I submitted a quote request and heard back from them within an hour. They were able to schedule an estimate review for the next day. Their Service Manager, Hector Pena, arrived on time, and was even able to work around an appointment I had early in the service window. Hector reviewed each of my options with me, a replacement VSP is very expensive, and discussed the pros and cons of each option. I had done research online so had a fairly good idea of what the solution would need to be (replacement) and the price, but appreciated the discussion and potential to save some money. Hector was able to schedule the replacement for the next morning. In addition, I needed to have a valve actuator replaced and Hector didn't charge me any additional labor for that install. Hector arrived the next morning at the designated time and was done in about two hours. While I know a fair amount about pool maintenance, I had a few specific questions. Hector answered each of them and gave me some valuable information to help me better maintain my pool equipment. Due to the China tariffs, the price of the replacement pump had gone up, but Splash honored the price that I had been quoted. I am really happy that I have now found an honest, knowledgeable, and reliable pool company in Las Vegas (there aren't many). We had gone through a few different pool service companies before we found Splash. We have now used them for about 3 years and STILL could not be happier. Our pool is always crystal-clear and blue. They take care of the filter which I hate to do. Great service every week from Splash!! Just recently, our pool pump went out. Since it is covered by our home warranty (AHS), I filed the claim and ordered service from their approved service company (not Splash). It turns out that on Monday's regular maintenance visit, the Splash tech could tell something wasn't right from the sounds coming from the pool pump motor. Unbeknownst to me, he had already ordered a service call to check it out. For the same price as the deductible from AHS, our pool pump is fixed. 100% great service!! Obtaining services in Las Vegas is a hit and miss affair. Every homeowner has stories of unreturned phone calls, missed appointments and incompetent work. After several such experiences trying to have our pool repaired, we called Splash. I explained that we would only be at our vacation home for a few days and needed someone as soon as possible. Updated: Splash representative asked that I edit this review since the repair (or lack thereof) was apparently done by another company via the home warranty. Whether or not another company did or did not make the repair, it does not excuse the fact that with a weekly maintenance service, a non working filter was NOT noticed. Even if the contract was for weekly cleaning only, concern should have been high why each week the pool was not getting/staying clear. If it was outside of the contract to fix or repair anything, we should have been notified to address the problem. I had even placed a message on their voicemail if there was anything on my part that I could do to help clear up this issue. I wanted to work with them since I don't have professional experience in the pool industry. So this is my updated and edited review, weekly maintenance was not up to par if calls were almost made weekly, if not every other week, in regards to the pool's questionable clarity and cleanliness. ------------------ (below, original review) Filter broke in February 2015. Notified Splash. We were very patient and courteous and told our technician, please get it fixed by May 9th as we knew we were having a party that day. That's three months. A month goes by and no update on the ordered part. Told that it was coming soon. 2 months, no update. About 3 weeks prior, I get worried. He waits until the week prior and comes everyday the week prior to May 9th to fix and clean a very green pool. He blames it on the delivery. I am calm and just happy it is ready for the party. Within four weeks, the pool keeps getting cloudy and murky on a weekly basis. We called to let them know. He comes; he cleans. We ask about the filter; the technician notes the chlorine level to blame. I don't know anything about pools so assume the sound of the filter running means it's working. I decide to "help" out by scooping out leaves and pollen daily. But I swear, it seemed odd that there was a buildup of dirt on the bottom of the pool. We would have to wait a week until he could come and clean it out. It would be clear for two days. The murkiness would come back. Finally, I decide to read up on filters and call the local swimming pool supply stores for Q&A. I check the suction portion of the filter....IT WAS NOT WORKING!!!!! We have been patient and worked with Splash and since February they have yet to fix the filter! !!! AWFUL SERVICE. by the way, in the summer, in Las Vegas, one would expect to use their pool. I needed to replace my old Hayward single speed energy vampire with a new efficient dual or variable speed pump. I also wanted to take advantage of the NV Energy $250.00 dollar rebate. In order to get this rebate you have to use a service ( fyi ) that is signed up with NV Energy . I meticulously started going through the NV Energy list. There are many. I went through each one and read at least 10 to 20 reviews, out of all of them , the only one who had valid and solid good reviews was Splash and so I called. They responded swiftly. Hector showed up early, explained everything to me. I was ready to pay! A day later ( today ) Hector showed up with my new beautiful pump. A very quiet as in SILENT PUMP 2.7 MOTOR! He was responsive, answered questioned while he worked, a delightful and efficient man! I cant say enough! He explained my warranty is good for 3 years. HE PUT THE REBATE IN FOR ME! SO, you wont have to deal with that. In 24 hours I had a new quiet pump! They will be my go for service for any new systems.
