This company was hired through my warranty company. Pool pump died on a Saturday. They Came to look at it Monday afternoon. I guess it's this Jonathan that owns it with his 21 year old nephew. If the nephew did everything I'd say they'd be a five star company. He could seriously be the backbone of the company. But just like every company lately too much work and not enough workers I guess. I knew the warranty company would approve the replacement. But guess they needed confirmation. Which I get as well. Pump was fixed first thing Friday morning. All is well in my world. NEGATIVE STAR - Pool Era is a joke. Long story but I have a Home Warranty with Choice Home Warranty....Horrible home warranty company as well. They will do everything they can to not pay. So buyer beware. Pool Era, Jonathan, has messed up my pool equipment. He came and replaced a pool pump then said he didn't get paid by Choice so pool era came and stole the pump he had put on then later came back and put an old pump on which doesn't go with my equipment!!! My pump is overheating because of them as well. I have never done business with a company that is so unprofessional, rude and disrespectable. Jonathan is the most arrogant person I have ever met. Johnathan and Shelly are amazing. We had been in contact for a few days working out the details of the estimate and appointment time to replace our pond pump. But once I called them to let them know that we lost four of our biggest koi they came out the next day to fix our pump. They were professional courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. They kept in contact with us throughout the day as to when they would be arriving. We had an issue two days later with the pump, we were able to FaceTime with Johnathan, even though he was on his way to the airport and resolve our issue over the phone. We were recently told by pool era that they could no longer service our pool due to price increases. Which we completely understand. I am extremely disappointed in the fact that they left us with faulty equipment. I have been asking for over a month to get a leak fixed that has been occurring I was told it wasn't to serious and that the filters needed to be cleaned. Filters are cleaned and the equipment is still not working properly. I reached out to Jonathan a few days ago asking if they could please fix the equipment that was meant to be fixed prior to them ending our services. Just to be ignored. Now I am being told from a different person that the plumbing needs to be replaced. This equipment was just installed less than 6 months ago! Are there any honest people left in this city! Update on review: Another pool company rebel pool just finished fixing the plumbing. He told me that the system that was put in by Pool Era is not even zoned for our area! Also, it should have never been installed because we do not have a back wash hook up. When the system needs to be back washed our entire side yard will be full of water. This was and is a service that was free to me as a renter that I now will gladly pay to have done by someone else. This is how bad this company is. It all started with me walking outside to find the hot tub empty on the one night in recent months I wanted to soak. after that issue resolved. found algae in all sectors of the pool in and my heater turned on by them (pool was shut down for winter) causing my gas bill to jump to $400. When called to talk to the owner about this and the fact that we again the following week still had algae. He blamed everything on me. I know for a fact that I had not touched anything and yet he was both rude and condescending. I was not asking for my money back on the gas. just competent service I/E someone else that he had. We have our in-ground pool in Las Vegas area for 19 years. Pool Era service isn't far over and beyond any service and repair. Johnathan is task oriented. He was hired to replace our pool pump but ensured all supporting equipment was operating. He discovered leaks and electrical issues caused by previous pool technician who visited less than 48 hours earlier. Jonathan called that I overpaid him and promptly returned the funds. I agree with one of the raters - this service provider named Jonathan does NOT deserve a star. If I could, I would rate him with 5 NEGATIVE stars. The same rater also said this guy is rude and arrogant. I agree. But I don't really care about his similar attitudes to me. I consider these people as very insecure with over-sized egos and just desire to vocalize their supposed knowledge about things. They end up exposing their limitations. Frankly, they don't even realize they are insulting themselves. Smart and educated people are very humble and respectful. They don't brag about their smarts. But what I am really pissed off is, despite repeated requests this provider refused to do his basic obligations which are to give me (1) a receipt of my payments to him amounting to more than $900 for product & service; (2) a completed job order report or paperwork to show the work done plus service warranty if he were a reputable provider; and (3) a user/product guide for the colored pool light that he sold to me and installed on May 25, 2022, more 4 months ago, repeat more 4 months ago. I have never met a service provider/guy who refuses to do his basic obligations. Really very strange. Which is why I can only conclude that he wants to hide his income for tax evasion purposes. He is really an ideal candidate for an income tax audit by one of the 87000 new IRS recruits approved by Biden. So IRS, watch out for this guy. So, pool owners, ask yourselves, "why is this service provider antagonizing some of his customers/prospective customers instead of building a big base of loyal ones?" This company is the worst special mention to Jonathan T. who was the one who came last week, at first he was very straight to the point and confident that he can fix it and will be back once it get approved. Then Monday past, so I texted him, he said he can't do it because of the wind storm. Then today is Friday 4/15/22, texted and called him if he's still doing the fix. And guess what I got? He said I'm not his customer because I'm just a Chioce Home warranty (CHW) customer and technically I'm not a priority. And he even went on to tell me that since I'm a CHW customer and he didn't get paid yet by CHW, so I'm not his priority at all. Such a rude, arrogant, and was condescending person to the point I felt like I owe him for taking the job. And even went to tell me to call CHW and see if I can find another technician. The technician was scheduled to come between 11am and 3pm. By 5pm no one had showed up or called so we called. Finally at 6pm someone showed. In the process of looking at the pool the technician snapped off the pool pressure gauge. His reply was it was old and he didn't offer to replace it. He also removed our filters but when I asked him to help me replace them he wouldn't. He mentioned probably four times that he still had two more jobs to do. Well, not my problem. I really felt as if he was more worried about his other jobs than mine. read more

Jonathan saved our pool! We moved into a home with a pool that looked ok, but the water was full of acid. After several attempts at trying to pour chemicals into it, we cried out for help and Jonathan came to our rescue. Because the pool is fiberglass, we were worried about draining it. We are also new to pool ownership. Jonathan took us through a full diagnostic of the equipment, patiently described the process and returned 4 times this week until the chemistry was perfect- all for less than others would charge just to drain. A deal was made between Jonathan tomorrow and myself to re-plaster my pool and spa replastering my spa. While here Jonathan tomorrow broke one of my jets inside my Jacuzzi. He didn't say anything to me about replacing it. I assumed he would replace it with something the same or comparable. Jonathan replaced them with cheap return lines for the pool with 1 inch opening that have no pressure whatsoever. My old Jacuzzi jets had a 1/4 inch diameter opening. Leaving my Jacuzzi unusable. I told Jonathan about this and I was told by Jonathan that a jet is a jet! While they were plastering my Jacuzzi they allowed an excessive amount of debris of plaster and rocks to accumulate inside my drain causing my pressure to go from 15 psi to 3 psi. Leaving my Jacuzzi unusable. When I told Jonathan about this he came over two weeks later with his air compressor attempted to blow debris out couldn't do it and told me maybe I have a leak somewhere and I'm not gonna get any more pressure out of that. Even though I told him that I had 15 psi before they did the job. He just left after doing a feeble attempt to try and help me with my situation about the drain. While Jonathan was doing the re-plaster job I asked him about purchasing a used heater for my Jacuzzi because The one I had was broke. He sold me a used heater guaranteeing its usability for $800. After I install the heater Jonathan asked me to wait to fired up for the first time he will come over and do it which I did. After Jonathan fired it up it stopped working after reaching 80° and will not fire back up. Jonathan told me he could replace some of the parts get it working or give me my money back. I told him I would like to have my money back. Jonathan finally came with his wife to help blow and suck the rocks out of my Jacuzzi drain it took him seven weeks to come here and clear out my drain. The pressure from my Jacuzzi went from four psi back to 15 psi like it was before the job was done even though Jonathan told me I wasn't gonna get any more pressure maybe I have a leak there's a problem with my pool equipment. That only cleared up one problem in my Jacuzzi. He told me that the people that did the plastering we're gonna be coming that day or the next day to talk to me about replacing the jets that Jonathan had put in with ones I had before the job started. They never came that day or the next day Jonathan has been on vacation I texted him about it he never returned any of my text. It's been almost 2 months now my Jacuzzi Jets are terrible because they've been replaced with cheap pool return waterlines the heater that I bought does not work and I have not gotten back any information as far as when my Jacuzzi jets will be replaced or the heater will be refunded. read more
