This was our first time at spitz and it definitely won't be our last. Love the overall vibe of this place, the art, the decor - just awesome. Service was fast and friendly everyone is masked and customers were very respectful as well. The rosé sangria was delicious but the white sangria was even better! My newlywed husband and I came up to the cities for the beginning of our honeymoon. We had a LATE day because we're busy taking care of some things at home. When we got up here, we decided to order food from Spitz. We came from La Crosse, WI, and you simply can't get food like this there. I had, what I think was called the med protein bowl, forgive me if I'm wrong, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! If I had one criticism, it would be the a couple pieces of the meat were dry, and I think it's because they accidentally were put in, or they were scraps would what they had left, and a piece or 2 were dry. We did order right before close, so I didn't mind it. I had VSG surgery, and of course to me this was enough to feed an army. It was SO flavorful, and I'm so thankful to have been able to try this food!! The crispy chickpeas, pickled onions, the gyro meat, cucumbers, tzatziki, etc were so spot on!!! My husband enjoyed his meal as well, and loves trying new food. I got him to try this place with me. He thought he was getting normal Fries, as did I, but then when he got his food he was raving about the flavors!!! Thus is DEFINITELY a place we will eat at again!!! Also, I don't know who answered the phone around 8:15pm on August 31st, but she was extremely sweet and nice!! Thank you for everything!!! WE WILL BE BACK!!!! read more

Food was so good! Well for the most part, we were in a hotel with no way to get silverware and of course they forgot to bring the requested ware! Even with the ordered salad. It look really yummy but have no idea if it was since I couldn't taste it. Everything else was great! Would eat there again read more

What an awesome mediterranean restaurant! If you're craving some yummy wraps - this place will not disappoint. This place over a naf naf hands down, if I'm in the area. I had the garli aioli wrap, which is there top seller - totally understand why. Fresh ingredients, and great flavors, I had the beef/lamb doner and it wasn't gamy at all. Definitely recommend getting it! If I'm in the area, I would come again. They have a lot of different drink options as well. Their sweet potato fries were good, I probably wouldn't get again though because they were a little salty. They have a decent parking lot area in the back of the restaurant that is shared amongst the other restaurants so you don't have to pay for parking, which is nice! Ambience: hipster modern vibes, lots of spacious seating and tables. Clean bathrooms. Service: order and sit type, so very casual and easy Food: great food for a good price! read more

Cool vibe and delicious food! I had the vegan Berliner bowl with falafel and it was really good! I was impressed with the amount of vegetarian options. That is always a positive for me when I have several items to choose from when going out to eat. The falafel pieces were cooked well and flavorful. The sauces really elevated the flavor of the bowl as well! Definitely worth a stop here! read more

Finally got to try this thanks to Door Dash and WOW this is going to become an addiction. When I placed the order, I ordered big, because the price suggested small portions. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the Doner! Great value. I ordered the Street Cart Doner, pita chips with hummus, and a falafel. The Doner legitimately melts in your mouth and the wrap is crispy and buttery. They don't skimp on sauce! The falafel had a sweetness to it, but wasn't anything spectacular, and the pita chips... yum! They add extra seasoning to the chips. Flaky, salty, and delicious! Overall great flavor for the price, the Doner alone is enough for me, and I am definitely addicted. Love that they're within delivery distance to my work, this might become my new go-to for lunch! read more

I absolutely loved this place !! Menu is full of vegan options. It's fast casual with a nice welcoming dining area. I went with a meat eating friends and we all were very happy with many options to choose from. Me as a plant based vegan, I always am left usually to throwing scraps together off menus while dining out due to place just not having options. Spitz is big time and is fusion at its finest. No shortage of beautiful art and vibrant music throughout the restaurant with a great mural of Prince. I took a group there for lunch who are on the Minnesota meek side in terms of palette's and food diversity, but I heard no complaints. Great selection of drinks there for happy hour along with some board games. Counter top service and they will bring the food to your table. I ordered the Doner Salad with mixed meat which is a gigantic salad with fried pita in there (my favorite food there). Made it a combo with a pop and fried pita strips with hummus. Salad was delicious and I recommend the mixed meat so you can try a little bit of all of their delicious meats. At nearly $20 for a lunch this is a little steep for Minneapolis. Not somewhere I would hit on the regular for lunch, but it is quite delicious. Spitz is good for someone who wants to dip their toe into the Mediterranean/Greek food pool. read more

I've been here several times for lunch. Everything I've tried has been great! Very fresh vegetables, good flavor and large portions. My friend suggested this and this has truly amazing food. If you take a combo is really good enough for two. Loved the way they prepared the food. This Mediterranean Street food is authentic here. Had a great time and it definitely had a great vibe to this place! It's low key prices aren't bad considering the authenticity of the food. I went here the other day because I saw I had a 20% off coupon on my app. I had to go in the store to order because I also had a discount card from the past when they used to give out stickers. I had cash I wanted to use but they said they are not taking cash right now, which I didn't see any signs for.... I get that businesses don't want to take cash at this time, but I wish I would have seen a sign or saw it on the yelp page. I love spitz but the other day when I went it just wasn't the greatest experience. I had to order through the app after trying to order at the register because the women at the register wasn't sure how to apply the 20% off to my order even though on the app it says I can use it in store. So that took me a bit to order through the app, after I already tried ordering at the register. Which I only got a salad, fries, and doquitos. The food was good as always. However, in my salad I feel like they barely added any meat for the price you pay... The doquitos were my favorite, cripsy on the outside and packed with flavor. The sweet potato fries with the garlic aioli are a MUST. I'm obsessed with the aioli I wish I could buy it in bulk!! read more

OVERALL: Tasty food, and such a fun place to kick back! ATMOSPHERE: located in northeast, there are plenty of parking options. They have a lot out back and a ton of street parking too. You order at the counter so it's moreso fast casual. There are a ton of board games so there are more things to do than just eat! FOOD: I ordered the street cart wrap. I kicked myself after ordering for forgetting to get fries on the inside! My friend mentioned that this is the closet doner she's eaten that compares to the one in Europe. I HIGHLY recommend getting the lime-lemon-cilantro sauce because it absolutely MADE the wrap. My only request is that it had more meat because I felt like a lot of it was veggies. SERVICE: so fast and nice! PRICE: the wraps are $10.95 you can make it a combo for $3ish and for $1 add roasted corn, fries, spicy sauce, and peppers inside. Definitely on-point for pricing for this type of place. Huge portions too! read more

I've been so eager to try this since I moved to Northeast! Decided to get takeout tonight and was craving a wrap. I tried the Street Cart Wrap (mixed meat), add regular fries. Unfortunately, they forgot the fries :( I was bummed because who doesn't love fries? Besides the missing fries, the wrap was good. I expected more flavor from the meat, it was missing seasoning or something. The portion was perfect and veggies tasted fresh. I will give them another chance and try a different item on the menu. Hopefully I will have better luck! read more

My favorite spot to get gyros- partially because they're delicious but a big part of it is their fried pita bread my FAVORITE thing in the menu! So good. Their gyros taste great too, great balance of sauces and well flavored meat and still good air fried the next day. My husband tried the wraps and they're okay, i like the gyros best. Was visiting family out of state in MN and was so excited to see a Spitz because I used to frequent the one in Silverlake before I moved away from CA. Unfortunately this wasn't as good as that location, the donor wrap was mostly cucumber and veggies and the little meat that was in the wrap was very, very dry :-(. The tzatziki sauce was also very weird and watery. read more

If you have not tried Spitz yet, you are missing out! Especially when it come to the Street Cart Fries that are out of this world. The garlic aioli and feta are so good together. They are a MUST! I love Mediterranean food and had to give Spitz a try. We got two wraps, street fries, and a dessert. Online ordering is very easy and takeout is fast and convenient. We received the wrong item in our order, but after calling they replaced the item with great customer service and no hassle! The flavors are rich, deep, and classic like you'd expect from this kind of restaurant. I can't wait to go back and try more things off the menu! read more

I've been here several times since they've opened and always had a good experience. The atmosphere is relaxed with some board games if you wanna hangout awhile. The food is always good. I haven't had anything on the menu that I haven't liked. Along with their regular bar selection they also have some really good sangrias that are very refreshing! My husband and I were craving Mediterranean food, so we decided to check out Spitz! We sat at the bar and I ordered the Street Cart Wrap with Beef/Lamb. The wrap was thinner than I'm used to, but it was super delicious. The combination of garlic aioli, cabbage, tomato, cucumber, onion, green pepper, and tzatziki was PERFECT. My husband ordered the Mediterranean doner wrap with chicken swarma. Both sandwiches were so crisp, delicious and fresh. For sides we ordered the greek side salad and a mixture of the sweet potato waffle fries and thin cut fries - which is a must order! I wish someone would have told me how big the wraps were, my husband and I only ate half of our wraps and would have completely satisfied sharing a wrap and getting the yummy sides! For drinks I ordered the Bloody Good Bloody Mary. It was ok, I like my bloodys more tomatoy :). There was a wide selection of local beers that my husband loved! In addition to the food and drinks, the atmosphere and service were great! The bartender was very attentive and we even joked that she could 'read my mind'. OMG!!!!! This place is awesome!!!! First of all their decor is so dope and beautiful!!!! Next the food!!! I had the falafel pita!!! I forget the name but it had fries inside of it!! The falafel was so good and moist. Not hard like most places!!! You can't go wrong with any of their options here!! The pics are of my demolished pita and my friends wrap!!! Last but not least!! I had the perfect margarita!!! I been back in Minnesota for about 2 months and this is the best meal and drink combo I have had since I been here!!! Great job!! The service was pretty great, the staff were friendly, and the waiting time was fairly reasonable. Although the gyro wasn't heavily traditional, it was still delicious. I also tried the zesty zeta döner wrap, and I highly recommend it! My only issue was that I asked for chicken in the wrap, and I was served beef and lamb instead. Still tasty, though! read more

Spitz is a great hipster casual dining option where you can enjoy an interesting take on Mediterranean food while playing Connect Four (or Settlers of Catan if you have a few hours to burn). Yes it's complete with a selection of board games and graffiti on the walls. It has a very cool vibe inside, the only downside is how loud the music was playing making it a little difficult to carry on a conversation. The street cart fries are a must have, particularly if you like cumin. They're fresh and savory, making it a good side to share amongst friends. The Berliner wrap with the beef and lamb was delicious, although it was a little on the dry side. If I could make a recommendation, ask for a side of tzatziki to dip it in. The garden salad was possibly our favorite of the night (with chicken). It was delicious. We really enjoyed our meal here. Parking is easy to find in the back of the building. Great atmosphere- casual and trendy forsure. The interior is great, makes me feel like I'm in a painting that banky woulda made if he were painting on an empty stomach. The food- god damn incredible. Imagine if your usual Mediterranean spot had a cooler younger brother with a better taste in drinks. Craft beer options are insane, and the food is so good. Interesting takes on Mediterranean. Check the website for pictures (that's what I did) so you can see what you're dealing with. I couldnt decide. (Ended up with the platter... wow I'm full) It can get busy in here, and lines can get long but it's worth the wait. Food came out fast anyway. I recommend this place 11/10 read more

Spitz serves up tasty döners with a trendy and casual vibe. The food here is reminiscent of the Turkish street food I had in Germany. The specialty here is döners, which are Turkish wraps - kind of like gyro sandwiches. They come with shaved gyro meat, cabbage and other veggies, and sauces and seasonings, all bundled up in a wrap. You can also get this as a salad or a platter without the wrap. There are multiple styles, such as ones with garlic, spicy versions, ones with hummus, and more. My spicy döner was actually spicier than I expected (i.e., definitely not "Minnesota spice"), so be warned if that's what you order. The restaurant is filled with fun colors, nice wood finishes, and an energetic atmosphere. The staff was friendly and gave me helpful advice for what to order.
