Really good, really consistent doner wraps and more. I like everything I've had on their menu, the gyro with fries in it, the Berliner wrap, zest feta, it's all really good. The orange fry sauce is awesome on anything, and the salad bowls are great too. Staff is always super nice and enjoyable, and we really like the olive trees they have inside the restaurant. Absolutely fantastic food and dining experience! My wife and I have been here twice now, both times we were blown away by how good the food is. Their loaded fries are to die for and probably one of my new favorite things in life. I grew up in Chicago, where Gyros were invented. I left Oakland in '21, and one regret was the great Greek place on Piedmont. I've been dreaming of a good Med place in Longmont to avoid driving to Boulder. My husband's on a keto diet, so he's always looking for interesting meat & low-carb offerings. Me, I love a simple meat gyro on a fresh pita with tomatoes, onions & too much tzatziki. So it was with high hopes that I tried Spitz. I've been there 3 times now, always on Saturdays before 1 & only for carryout, so I can't speak to table or bar service. The Good: Basic ingredients: meat (lamb/beef), pita, tzatziki, hummus, sweet potato fries. Servers are fast & friendly. They'll let you sit at the bar while your food is packed up. The Bad: Those ingredients can be too dry (meat, pita), soggy (pita strips) or missing (where were my tomatoes & onions?). The falafel are dry, grainy & tasteless. The potato fries are soggy & blah (is that what they are "famous" for?). The Ugly: That menu! Online menu is hard to navigate, and features a series of indistinguishable, unattractive, garish piles of food that must be flipped to get the descriptions. Most dishes contain waaay too many ingredients (headed towards dog's breakfast) smothered in strong sauces. The balsamic dressing is so sour it's inedible. Fries everywhere, including inside the gyro? Yuk. This isn't Pittsburgh, folks. Is this just a trick to calorie load with cheaper ingredients? And yeah, you can try to customize, but they blow your instructions half the time. I said, NO FRIES! My friend order sweet potato fries twice & got white potato fries. And while I haven't tasted them, the bar features some interesting cocktails plus an assortment of spigot & slushie alco-pops (including to-go) so peculiar I had to ask the bartender to describe them. read more

First off, who the fuck puts Fries on a Gyro... you know who NO ONE! This fuckin' joint put 95% fries and 5% gyro meat on this piece of shit! The pita was a dry crusty piece of dog shit! The gyro meat they did add was dry as a Death Valley and tasted like shit! Also, Red Onions, C'mon it's always white onions. Get your shit together. A real gyro should be a thick pita, an over abondous of gyro meat, white onion, tomato, and taziki that's it! If you are looking for a real gyro drive to Boulder to the deli run by a father & son. I'm not going to name it to keep them out of your mouth. If you know, you know! Also, not that this is a huge deal but I ordered from DoorDash and they "forgot" my fries as well. So, there's that! This place is a Mediterranean imposter fast food chain that serves dog shit food! It's a piece of shit chain and not a real family owned restaurant. Do not go there! You will get ripped off! If you grew up with real gyros from a real family Greek restaurant you will be disappointed. Please do not frequent this establishment, so they go under and get the fuck out of Longmont! read more
