Ok here's what's so...nice, quaint, cool lil spot.....food looks totally scrumptious. I had the oatmeal raisin white macadamia cookie. Coffee was good. Smooth. Not bitter as my SB( Not saying the name). Cool that they make everything literally right there. The reason I gave it such a low rating....it would at least be a 4 if not higher. However, you can't have a coffee house and no internet these days. Can you? Peo0le were phenomenal. But really, no internet? I guess next time I come, I will bring a book......check it out but that's a HUGE issue for me.

Seasonal drink specials. Make modifications at your peril. - The menu board features holiday drinks such as gingerbread cookie latte, peppermint mocha, peppermint hot cocoa, pumpkin pie latte, peppermint matcha latte, brown sugar latte, and oat milk horchata steamer. Prices range from $5 to $7. The design includes decorative green ribbons and illustrations of rabbits and a red chili pepper at the bottom, with a note to ask for whole, almond, or oat milk. The background appears to be inside a bakery or cafe setting.

The 4 stars are for the pastries. They're really 5 stars. Every baked good I've had here has been amazing. Key Lime pie is incredible. Scones, cookies, quiche--all good. Breakfast sandwich I had once was barely edible, but don't really count that. The baked goods are amazing. But beware of ANY drink modifications. I ordered an Oat Milk horchata steamer. Which "starts" at $5. I needed caffeine but love horchata. "Can I make that a horchata latte?" "Sure. What size?" "Large." "It usually comes with 3 shots, and is oat milk still ok?" "Yep." The drink was $11.00. Eleven Dollars. So I got a scone and a drink. And the total for those 2 items with tax was $17.44. This place is regularly expensive anyway. But this was...extra. That's really a 2 star situation, that. But the baked goods are really top notch. So.

Oat milk horchata steamer - A beige-colored, frothy beverage is served in a white, disposable takeout cup with the lid removed and placed beside it. The cup is on a patterned metal table with a geometric design. In the background, part of a person’s arm, a laptop with stickers, and a green drink are visible, indicating a casual outdoor or indoor dining setting.

Cute small cafe/ coffee shop in the oak park neighborhood. I stopped in to grab a drink and check out the ambiance on an early morning Wednesday. I decided on a small oat milk horchata steamer. It was a Fall 2023 special. It's incredibly small for the size to the price of $3.75 but was insanely delicious. I believe the cafe could stand to put their prices on the boards regarding the food selections that way patrons are aware. My only only reason for four stars was the price of the drink versus the size. The prices are fairly high but the quality being served is amazing. I will return to check out their savory quiche options.

Clean, warm, welcoming. Beautiful mural on back wall painted by local artist. Nice open artisan bakery where you can watch the bakers in action through the front windows. Cookies, pies, croissants (two choices on the Sunday I visited: 1. Almond. 2. Ham and Gruyère.). Freezer with take and bake options. A few well chosen books, chocolates, etc available as well. Excellent espresso, long draw. The almond croissant was beyond phenomenal. Flaky, lots of slivered almonds, sprinkled with powdered sugar, just the right amount of almond paste. Again, phenomenal. I must confess, about six months ago I had a negative experience with poor service here. But now, it appears the service issues have been addressed and resolved. Five stars plus. Of note, opened at 8a, by 830 no more almond croissants available.

Peanut butter cookie - A round peanut butter cookie with a crumbly surface and powdered sugar sprinkled on top is placed on a turquoise ceramic plate. The plate rests on a wooden table with visible grain and texture. Part of another baked item in a foil container is visible on the right side of the image.

Service was exceptional. Light deserts and bakery items were good. Very cozy environment. Definitely worth checking out.

Cookies for every cookie monster - A vertical stack of four brown butter sugar cookies is placed on a small decorative plate. The cookies are golden-brown with a slightly cracked surface. A sign above the cookies reads 'Brown Butter Sugar Cookie $4' and features a small illustration of a black mouse. The background includes other baked goods and a window, suggesting a bakery or cafe setting.

Delicious pastries. I especially enjoy the Mexican chocolate cookie and almond croissant. Coffee is mediocre but I had drip coffee rather than my typical espresso. Even so, drip coffee can be a litmus for custom coffees. The shop is beautiful with a little seating inside. There's more seating out front and a patio in back. Ambiance is lovely, as is the staff. Everything is pricey but delicious. Parking can be a little difficult but there is some paid parking across the road and a few hours free parking of you walk a few blocks.

Tart cherry pie- deliciously flaky crust - A cherry pie with a golden, flaky crust is shown inside a brown cardboard box. The pie has a heart-shaped opening in the center revealing dark cherry filling. The box is lined with white paper, and part of a person's hand is visible holding the box. The background includes a table with a striped tablecloth and some utensils.

My friend used to live in Oak Park, and she gifted us this delicious sour cherry pie. The crust is flaky tastiness and held up to the tart cherries. Can hold its own among pies from Hoosier Mama, Bang Bang, and First Slice.

Heritage apple pie and cranberry apple pie - The image shows two slices of pie on separate plates placed on a wooden table. The top slice has a golden, flaky crust and appears to be intact, while the bottom slice is partially eaten with crumbs scattered around. The plates are a light blue and a dark blue color, and there are striped napkins and a fork visible nearby. The setting suggests a casual dining environment, possibly a bakery or restaurant.

This is such a pastry shop, I wanted to buy things I did not need. It is nice to see everyone working while waiting on our goodies to be ready to go. Be prepared to be strong down some gorgeous looking pies, cookies, breads and more. Truly delicious food, nice quality and packaged perfectly for travel.

    Cute and cozy sitting area.

Sign and website say they close at 3. Showed up at 2:30 to locked doors. Annoying when headed to a party on a tight schedule.

It was perfect for a quick bite. There were amazing baked goods on display and we chose the kale salad scone, rosemary apricot scone, and pimento biscuit sandwich. All baked goods are beautiful and generously sized. All were delicious and unique. The cafe also has a full compliment of coffee drinks, but as it was a hot day we chose iced tea. I had an Arnold Palmer. There is self serve water as well. The selection is limited to baked goods only. We didn't try the cookies or cakes, but they looked amazing. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating in a small area surrounding potted plants making for an inviting setting with limited space. The staff are efficient and calm. If there is a line, as we were told there usually is, it moves quickly. I recommend this spot for a sweet or savory bite.

The location is probably the only issue I have because it's not close to me and their is always traffic. The sweet and savory cornbread biscuits are the best textured goods I have ever had. Soft on the inside with crunch on the outside and full of flavor. I prefer the sweet personally with the butter and homemade jam. The scones are a second favorite of mine with the newest addition of blue cheese, bacon, and sage being my favorite. A second would be the kale and cheddar. The BT Latte is also a staple for me with their homemade cinnamon coconut syrup. Just go already.

So the first time I came in to give them a try I got a cupcake and croissant warm, my wife got a fancy coffee and some egg thing. She was happy with her order other than the iced coffee came hot.. so not really what she ordered after the long wait we didn't want to wait any longer. My order on the other hand was quite a disappointment, to me a fresh croissant should be light flaky and fluffy hot. This one .. this one was more like it was made at a beef shop it was flatted out and soggy.. I think it was over cooked in the electro zapper.. aka the food killer microwave.. just what I wanted to over pay for some microwaved slab of dough..thanks.. Now.. let's get to the second chance before reviews.. Wife ordered an iced coffee, I ordered a few donut holes.. The vanilla glazed was a wreck, dried out, stale, hard.. this should have been tossed out.. Let's try the chocolate.. meh, almost dried as bad but the after taste was meh.. like cooking oil. My wife's coffee showed up hot.. after like 15 minutes wait.. overall this place is meh.. should have stuck with Starbucks or Dunkin even..
