I'm a brisket lover and this was over the top good, there is nowhere else in NW Wisconsin that I've had barbecue this good. In fact, the only barbecue in the MN/WI area I can compare it to is Big Daddy's in St. Paul, MN. I read the previous reviewer's comments and I can't comment on how the restaurant was before, I've only been there under the new ownership and the new menu, and I can guarantee I'll be coming back again and again. I recommend the Bubba Luv meal for 2 and wash it down with some bourbon.

I'm going to amend my earlier two star review and balance it out with five stars. As we were preparing to leave we were asked to wait an additional 5 minutes, which we did. The cheeseburgers were good. We were even comped on the beer we had ordered, which was very classy. At least tonight, at 8:00 p.m., this appeared to be very much a drinking establishment. I don't recall seeing any food ordered or delivered, although perhaps there was some. The young girl tending the bar was excellent.

Outdoors they provide cornhole, hula hoops, footballs, etc. The outdoor area is dog friendly. Service was the main reason Tamarack Farms got four stars instead of five. We checked in for a table as soon as they opened, but it was a very long time after we were seated before we got water and could order. More minimal dings were for not providing BBQ sauces with the ribs, butter for the cornbread, or wet wipe packets. As someone who ate regularly at the original Famous Dave's that burned down, these things were the standard. Not extras. And now they don't provide them when other BBQ joints do.
