I have placed a few online orders with this restaurant, and they ALWAYS cancel it. In the past, I have just replaced the order over the phone, fyi the total is always more expensive when you order in person or over the phone. I have asked them about this before, and they state they don't control the prices listed on DD, Uber, Yelp, etc. I have worked at a restaurant that used all these online ordering services and know this is not true. Today I placed an order over DD for delivery. I order sweet & sour chicken and fried rice. A few minutes after placing the order, I was notified they cancelled it. I called to see why, and was told they were out of everything I order. Yes, they are out of fried rice. I called back about 3 minutes later to place an order, to see what they would say. And to my surprise, they now had sweet & sour chicken and fried rice!!! Who knew that could get delivered within 3 minutes!! We went back and forth for a while trying to clarify what is going on and why I was lied to on the previous call, eventually she laughed and hung up. All in all, they will cancel online orders and lie to you about the reasoning, or flat out lie that they ever received it (this happened on a separate occasion). Maybe not the best Chinese food in Denver but definitely good for a quick and easy meal. Most dishes are Americanized - eg, the mapo tofu is not particularly spicy despite being labeled as such. The seafood hot and sour soup was good and satisfying. The salt and pepper tofu was okay... it probably would have been crispier if we had dined in rather than ordered takeout. read more

Spicy Asian is our go-to Chinese restaurant. The food is always fresh and full of flavor! With our most recent order we got the sweet and sour combo, shrimp rice noodles and chicken broccoli. Teriyaki chicken is one of our favorites too. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars is because sometimes their delivery times are very long, especially on weekends. I have called and had them say, "1.5 hours okay?" I think they only have one delivery driver. It's not a big deal, we just try to avoid ordering on Friday and Saturday nights. Sub par, and the menus they send out in the mail have coupons that they claim the mailman changes. So I expected to get 6 wontons with a $30 order, show up and they tell me it's actually only 2. We love this place, we get food from multiple companies each week. but the lunch special, sesame chicken, beef broccoli, egg drop soup is killer. Once per week if not more we order from this company during our lunch breaks. When you're having a long day and it not even 11am this company can really make the day feel better. Take a bite of the chicken and scoop up some rice and before you know it you're ready to go back on patrol. This place rocks! They are super fast and have the friendliest service! I got egg rolls, sweet and sour shrimp and beef and broccoli! The food was super fresh and hot when o got there. They literally took 15 minutes and I got there a little early so had to wait five which was NO big deal. They gave me extra egg rolls and were so sweet! If you're looking for authentic Chinese dishes, this probably isn't the right place- this restaurant serves Americanized Chinese dishes at an extremely cheap price. For lunch, I paid $8.55 for the Sweet & Sour Pork which includes your choice of fried or white rice and an egg roll... such a great deal. I was really impressed with the flavor of the meat, egg roll and fried rice. I appreciate the sweet and sour sauce on the side which allowed me to dip the pieces of pork instead of the meat being smothered with it. The food was ready within 15 minutes of calling them. We've been ordering from this place since it was Chens garden. They've recently in the past few months, hired a girl with long nails who works the front and expedites orders. She's awful. She argued with me when didn't receive any fried rice with my order, acting like I wasn't telling the truth, I was trying to get free rice I had to drive up there and fight with her about the fried rice. I just wanted my friend rice to go with my entree. Please. Then we've ordered 4-5 times since then, and have been missing an item each time. This last order, they didn't give me my whole entire entree. I called the place and she answered she told me to wait, then left me on hold for 20 min. I hung up and called back, and the line was busy. She straight out the phone off the hook. Not only did I not get any dinner that night, I also did t receive any kind of refund or apology. Nothing. We ordered food tonight for pick-up. The food was ready in about 35 minutes and the notifications were on time. When we showed up the food was hot and didn't seem like it had been sitting long. We ordered the kung pao chicken and sesame chicken. Both were good and met our expectations. The rice was good and plenty. The flavors were good, not too spicy. I am incredibly disappointed. I ordered a variety and ended up not eating hardly any of it or even being able to. In the pupu platter, the wings were hard and inedible. The breading tasted like plastic. The rangoons appeared to be from two different places as one has a crispy flaky shell and one was hard and crunchy. The shrimp was a very strange gooey texture like cream cheese. The salad was a box of greens with no dressing. The wonton soup was flavorless and just a bowl of bean sprouts mostly. These people are thieves, I would be very careful to use cash here or better yet, go somewhere else. We ordered takeout and paid cash, tipped ahead of time. Two hours later with no food we started calling. Called for half an hour with no answer. Ordered from somewhere else and got food in 30 minutes. Finally a Girl who has to be 15 years old picked up at 9:00 pm. After putting me on hold for 5 minutes she gets back on to claim the food was delivered and the driver gave it to "a man" outside the house who knew the name of the order. Right... Went in the next day and the same child is working there alone. She can't process a refund and says you have to go through your bank. Never heard of anything like this in my life. She does show me a credit card receipt which they have forged a signature on. The only time she shows any concern at all is when I ask if she knows that Forging names on credit card receipts is a felony. I go back again that night to see the boss who is finally there but who is no more help than the kid. What kind of business owner can't process a refund? This place should be investigated for theft and child labor violations. Probably will be if they don't shut down first. read more

I ordered the Seafood Curry and was surprised the server didn't ask how hot I would like it prepared. She didn't offer chopsticks either. The portion was huge and was made with lots of fresh vegetables and a decent amount of seafood. The shrimp were nice and large but the fish and mussels had a very strong slightly "off" flavor that wasn't to my liking. I am accustomed to curries that are swimming in colorful sauce but this version was more like a quick stir fry.
