I swear I picked up rotten food from here tonight. I ordered crab/cheese wontons which were ok but the green chicken curry was disgusting. The flavor was nothing like green curry and I think something was rotten. Either the chicken or one of the vegetables. Oh and the green beans in the curry came from a can. Came here because it was suggested by my date. He wanted to go somewhere where they allowed dined in. After reading the reviews, I decided to meet up at Spicy 9 Thai. The place was alright and the food was good. However, when we were done eating, I saw a bug crawling up on the wall. It came out through the crevice of a ledge that was in the wall of the restaurant. It was a ROACHE! I couldn't believe it. I wanted to vomit what I had just ate and felt sick to my stomach. I didn't want to make it a big deal because I was on a date but I sure took a picture of it. Besides, the young lady taking our order did not appear to speak English. I will NEVER come here again and do not recommend this place. A health inspector really needs to go check it out. read more

Our favorites include (I'll update with actual menu titles when I get a chance. Below are what they are described as): Simmered chicken over rice Breaded fried chicken over rice Tom yum soup (with seafood)) Boat noodle (this is pork only) Green curry Penang curry Mango sticky rice The ones that weren't as spectacular were: Pad Thai Ginger chicken (this one is on us, as the dish was true to its name; basically you get like 5 pieces of ginger in every bite, which was too much for us) The spice level is no joke. I gave this place a shot due to all the recommendations and their menu option looked delicious but it was very very poorly ran. It seemed like the workers there are not used to customers dining in. We came in and nobody seated up and nobody was at the register so I just assumed it was self seating and self serve, so we sat at our own table and grabbed our own menu from the front then waited for a good 15mins before anyone noticed us. They came and brought out water but no silverware and did not take our order so once again I just assumed it was self serve so I went up to the register to place our order. The food was a little more expensive than what I would have liked but I wanted to give the food a try so why not. After placing our order our first dish came out but we couldn't eat because there was no silverware given so I had to go up front again to ask for some. After eating our appetizer we found that only half of the dish was served. We ordered pork shoulders and it was supposed to come with sticky rice but they only brought out the pork and by the time we finished it he said he forgot to bring out the sticky rice. We came for the Hainanese Chicken and I saw they had a fried chicken option so we ordered the original and the fried chicken dish. The fried chicken dish was the cheapest and nastiest chicken you could possibly buy on the market, it was worse than a 3 day old McDonald's chicken nuggets. We saw another table come in for dining and they seemed to struggle the same way we did with ordering and silverware and service Overall the food and service was just very poor I'm sorry I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt but it was not a good experience read more

I'm super picky with my Thai, and this place is delicious.y husband always gets the green curry Thai hot (which is super hot, but very few places actually make it hot enough for him). The panang is very popular here it seems as well. Edited: I noticed another review mentioned the Thai boba tea; and it sounds like they may have misunderstood the process in which it's made which is the new popular way of making fresh boba tea and then sealing it on the spot. read more

For real deal Thai food in the NE Denver/Aurora area, this is the best and probably only option. Not as good as the epic Thai Street Food that was once a block away, Spicy 9 is solid and the flavors hit right. They can bring the heat if you want it. Entrees are a little small, although the pad Thai is a good portion. There's also a nice little Thai grocery in the same building. Overall, this is always satisfying for a Thai food fix. read more

We ordered a more mild spice, but it still had too much spice for the husband; so if your not into spicy foods, better to ask for as mild as possible! This is my new goto, little spot, hidden in the neighborhood. Food was solid, ingredients seemed fresh. The girl working the front was extremely nice, she made sure everything was right before I left. This place is ridiculously spicy so make sure you order mild if you can't handle. I eat spicy food all the time, this place is no joke spicy, I ordered medium to test the waters and I was sweating. I really enjoyed the food and the sticky rice is fire, get it with mango.
