I wanted to eat something tasty for dinner tonight, so I looked up some Indian restaurants near my house for delivery and ended up ordering from Spice Kings. I ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh, and some plain naan which was on special for 2-for-1. This delivery was placed via Uber eats. When the food arrived, I opened it up and first pulled out the foil pack with the naan inside. As I went to put it down on the table, I saw some oil dripping from the bottom of the foil.. luckily I caught it and was able to clean it up. I determined that it was due to the foil sitting on top of the lamb dish, as can happen, and so I proceeded to pull out the lamb container without a second thought. The lamb Rogan Josh was swimming in oil/fat. Possibly ghee. I mixed and stirred the Rogan Josh but to no avail; there was a *lot* of fat/oil used in this dish so be aware when ordering. The flavour was tasty, and there were no bones in the lamb, which came in big chunks, and was well cooked otherwise. It tasted fresh, well spiced, and savoury, though I had to drain it a good bit before eating due to alleviate the copious amounts of oil/fat on top. Kind of off putting and definitely not healthy.. The naan was soft, and thin, but fresh and tasty, and had a good texture and bite to it. Definitely good quality, though would have been nice to have had a bit more thickness. Overall I enjoyed the dish from Spice Kings, and the naan, but it's nothing to write home about. Flavourful and pleasant though far too much fat/oil (ghee?). I don't know if I'd order this dish again but would consider ordering something else in future, maybe. read more

I ordered butter chicken, garlic naan, and tandoori roti from Spice Kings using an Uber 1+1 deal ( butter chicken ). The amount of food was good for the price. The butter chicken had more gravy than pieces, but it tasted great. The garlic naan was tasty too. The tandoori roti wasn't very good. Overall, a good meal with a few issues. read more

Tried this pace as an alternative to our usual local take away. went with our usual selection (veggie pakora, matter paneer, rice, naan) and a lentil disk. All of it was great, one of the best Aloo Gobi I've had. Not at all greasy. I think I have found a new take away for Indian. The service was very friendly. This was my first visit and I will definitely get takeout again. Their menu is huge, so it was hard to decide what to order. Located in a strip mall with ample parking. The owners were very nice and came and explained/ recommended their most popular dishes. Though portions are on the smaller side, flavors were good, quality of ingredients were also good. The best part was the dishes were not swimming in a layer of oil. read more

We detoured off the main road to find lunch before an indeterminate wait at the border. Our party split up and I solo-ed at this Indian buffet place. Their tables were about half full while I was there on a weekday for lunch. They also had a fairly steady stream of take-out business. The buffet was not expansive, but I found several dishes to try out. I think the korma turned out to be my favorite. I was definitely full when I left. I didn't know what to expect in a large strip-mall type plaza in a seemingly small border town, but I was pleasantly surprised. This place's Indian food portion is good! 3 dish is enough for a couple. We tried their Chinese Indian dish crispy honey garlic cauliflower. It was bomb!!! Pakora was very generous size for my husband and I. I'm sure it's enough for 3 people as advertiser. The server remember we have certain food allergies on our second visit. She was very helpful! Sadly I will not be a returning customer. Ordered food for a large family party, ended up not being able to eat some of the dishes as they were WAY to spicy even tho I asked for medium hot. They were so spicy that most of my guests couldn't even eat it. Called the restaurant the next day to inform them hoping they would at least give me so sort or compensation or at least an apology but I was told to bring the food back so they could try it as they didn't believe me. Considering Covid is still our number one concern in society. You would think they wouldn't want to try left over food that multiple guests have touched. So much food was left over that I Offered it to family to take home and try to make it less spicy by mixing it with other stuff so it wouldn't go to waste as I spent hundreds of dollars on it. I find it hilarious that a manger would ask me to bring in all the food so they could try it. Considering this is a more expensive Indian restaurant compared to hundreds of restaurants out there I would think they would have better customer service then that. Spice king used to be our go to spot for Indian food for weekend takeouts and we always ordered Manchurian, chilli chicken and noodles.However their quality has significantly dropped in the last year. Since the last 5 times we have ordered food here their food has been below average and food was all dry without any gravy and noodles looked like they had been through a blender. However, due to positive experience in the past; today we ordered chicken tikka masala and kadhai paneer and all we got was a dish full of onions( like a lot of onions), some veggies and tiny pieces of chicken and panner. Might as call it onion masala. Our Indian guests couldn't even finish the food because it was all onions. In short will never order here again. read more

Really disappointed by the food here. Ordered for pick up with a coworker. My meal was butter chicken, rice, and garlic naan bread. The butter chicken tasted like it was made with Campbell's Tomato soup (a generous comparison) and the naan (even with the garlic) tasted bland. A few bites in, I decided I would rather toss it in the garbage and starve, than waste calories on something that was as unappetizing as that. read more

This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants. I always have the Crispy Honey Cauliflower and Aloo Gobi. The rice and naan bread come in big portions, which is great for sharing. Great prices and good service. read more

Not sure how good their actual menu is, but their all you can eat is an okay. There wasn't much variation to choose from, 4 curries, 1 mixed veggie, salad as usual, rice and dessert. The service was nice and attentive, the layout of the ayce was just on a small corner with a lamp to light if up. I was crossing my fingers hoping there's no flies in them (but gladly there were none and the place was pretty clean). Our take away order came with someone's filthy fake nail in the bag. It has obviously fallen off whilst they were handling food. So unhygienic! The shop was disgusting, the floor and tables were filthy. They're so rude on the phone and just hang up when they think you've finished ordering. Not very flavorful at all give the competion in Surrey they're only protected by the corner they reside in for the people who don't want to drive another few blocks to get better food.
