Paneer is not fresh and taste like it was cooked from frozen which gives a weird texture. The shrimp tandoori is good but it came out raw and this is the 2nd time eating there. The daal was delicious. The yellow and black were both delicious but wished it was a bit tastier with more spices. Not sure if the chef is new or is just starting out... but please start tasting your food before sending it out because it all looks great... but lacks taste. I am hoping that you do better because I don't want to give up on you....

Everyone we spoke to was very friendly. The food and drinks were good. Happy hour is from 9.30pm onwards.

The owner is incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about his customers. We ordered the saag paneer, methi chicken, and butter naan, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The butter naan was soft, fluffy, and fresh, pairing perfectly with both curries. The saag paneer was rich and flavorful, while the methi chicken was beautifully spiced and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the salty lassi and chai. My parents especially loved the chai, it had the perfect blend of cardamom and ginger, making it both aromatic and comforting. We will definitely be back!

Surrey is also a city that I wanted more time in, very cool place. Ordered the burroti (chicken/lamb) and it was magnificent. Super savory, rich, and each bite got better. If you are venturing out and aren't typically a spice person, aim for getting the tikka and butter chicken sauces - they have the slightest spice kick and are ridiculously yummy. ALSO - would highly recommend the peach/mango chutney! It is highly favored at the restaurant and adds so much complexity to your meal. The staff was super patient and friendly, and took their time with us as we ordered. We love Indian food, and this stop will be one we have again if we're ever in the area!

An absolute gem for authentic Indian food in Bellingham…read more Went for dinner on 8/19 - walking in we noticed all around great vibes, from the smells to the ambience to the Bollywood music and videos playing. It's clear thought and care has been put into the experience here. We were seated immediately by the friendly host/server. We ordered the recommended Gobi 65 cauliflower appetizer, garlic naan, our standard Butter Chicken, and the house specialty Chicken Chettinad (all medium spicy on the 3-point scale we were offered). Everything was absolutely delicious. The Gobi 65 was pretty spicy relative to the other dishes but still soooo good. To our surprise the Chicken Chettinad was the standout dish and one we'd highly recommend (and would order every time we return). Excellent experience overall and a place we'll definitely include in the local rotation. Highly recommend!

Dad wanted to take me here after going here with some friends and I see why!…read more First of all, we went for the buffet which (fair warning) ends at 2:30 (at least on the day we went, it was a Tuesday). We didn't realize this, but it was 2pm when we got there. As is the norm, we went immediately to the buffet and loaded up our first round (you know, the "little bit of everything" plate) and then, as we were getting up to go for seconds, we were told that the buffet would be closing soon (15 minute warning) so of course we got our seconds (aka, the "I know what I want" plate). We also took advantage of the warning and grabbed our desserts early from the well-lit dessert bar! Hello gulab jamun! The restaurant was buzzing the entire time we were then, even when it was about to close between services. The staff kept checking in on us, making it feel like a full service restaurant, and not just a buffet. Love this place!

The space here is truly massive, and…read morewhile it was mostly empty when we came at around 2:30 - I can picture the hubbub of activity that would be present during peak dinner hours. This does seem to be a highly recommended place to eat Indian food in Surrey. I had the Non-Veg Thali, which isn't on the menu, but the waitress helpfully let us know about. It's very customizable - and I went with garlic naan, rice, two tandoori chicken pieces, lamb vindaloo, and shahi paneer - all in a single plate! Pretty much everything was excellent. I'm not even sure where to start. The garlic naan was fantastic. Soft, buttery, with just a slight hint of garlic and lightly charred on the outside. I could honestly eat this by itself and be satisfied. Garlic naan is a staple of what I order whenever eating Indian food, and this might be the best one I've had. The shahi paneer was also great; tomato-forward, creamy, and the paneer was super soft. The lamb vindaloo was a real standout. It was immensely flavorful - not lacking for spice at all - but you don't just taste capsaicin - you taste all the cumin, cardamom, and garam mixed in with the curry. But the lamb itself is the best part of the curry; it's so tender and juicy. The absolute peak, though, was the tandoori chicken. These were two large dark meat pieces, which were cooked to absolute perfection - retaining so much juice and fat. The skin was a perfect deep orange, seasoned with a ton more spices. It's like eating fried chicken but without the breading, but this was arguably even better. The masala fries were the only thing kind of a miss - as they lacked any masala. The price of the thali was only 23 CAD. That's a pretty insane deal for how much food you get - I was unable to finish everything on my plate despite being very hungry. Honestly two people could share this and be satisfied. When you consider how much sharing and new orders for bread, rice, and curries goes on at your typical Indian restaurant, this is crazy good value. Overall, I would classify this as the best Indian food I've had outside of Asia. 9.5/10
