It's the Indian Chipotle! Wish we had more of these in the US because this was SO GOOD! Stopped by here on the way from Vancouver to Seattle, and it's worth the stop. Surrey is also a city that I wanted more time in, very cool place. Ordered the burroti (chicken/lamb) and it was magnificent. Super savory, rich, and each bite got better. If you are venturing out and aren't typically a spice person, aim for getting the tikka and butter chicken sauces - they have the slightest spice kick and are ridiculously yummy. ALSO - would highly recommend the peach/mango chutney! It is highly favored at the restaurant and adds so much complexity to your meal. So, so good! I really enjoyed the Chicken Butter Tikka Bowl with a bit of all the toppings except jalapenos. Hubby had the Chicken Sando but the bun fell apart fairly quickly while eating it, it was still delicious. We'll definitely be back. read more

Misleading menu. The stuffed chole kulcha comes in a pav/bread. Papdi chaat had matri instead of papdi. Flavor for both leaned towards tangy/sour and not that great. Chai took too long (still waiting for it as I write this review and 15mins of waiting). Highly disappointing. read more

Stopped in to the Langley location for the first time. Had a great lunch special which was delicious and great value. It even came with a free Masala tea which was wonderful also. Great service from 2 young gals, Prab and Suprett!! Will definitely eat here again! read more

It was a pleasure dining in at Chutneys South Surrey location off 160th St. And 24th Ave. This afternoon, might even say I'm a fan of their 'concept'. Single for lunch, I opted for the PLATE. Back in the day I'd of called it a thali. Round compartment big dish, two serves of proteins, plus sauces, salads, substitute rice for naan breads no problem. We selected a dairy free and gluten free meal. Acknowledged and the Server dished up generously. FRESH. TASTY. Authentic Indian, possibly Punjabi Style ? Batch made. Nourishing healthy food. Clean tidy room and loo. Parking easy in the strip mall. Free WiFi. Friendly helpful service. Not a fan of the background music but comfortable enough seating area. Value good @ cdn$13.60 usd10 just enough for a hungry man cooked lunch, no frills, plastic fork class, though FOOD punches higher than that, and earns our approval. Lose a star for condiments not kept full and tidy on tables. It's so easy to wipe em down and refill daily innit? They do most things well imho, maybe their attempt at franchising will succeed. I tried out this place one late evening and was blown away! Its a cross between subway/chipotle just indian style! You get to choose your proteins/carbs or salad, lots of different sauce options as well as veggie and dips too! It was sooooo good! The only bad thing about this place is that I live too far away to make it more of a go to place! But to those who live close by or are in the area its definitely worth the stop! read more

Went to the grand opening and bought both a burrito and a bowl. Both were really good. The idea of healthy indian food is something we've never heard before and after trying it we definitely liked it! The idea of customizing everything was really cool too! You can choose your base, protein, and toppings. We tried the mango lassi and of course it was delicious. It's pretty hard to mess up a mango lassi. The customer service was amazing as well. Since it was the grand opening the staff was extra helpful in directing customers and explaining the whole process. Overall, I like the concept, the food, and the customer service! This is a design- your- own meal place similar to chipotle/ subway etc, however they have indian- themed food instead. I absolutely love their "burroti" and have tried every protein on their menu. All are excellent! I usually get the combo with the masala fries, but Its hard to pass up on the samosas: they are also very tasty.. All three together is just too much for even a chow hound like me to finish in one sitting. My way of saying portion sizes are generous! The various chutneys & sauces are also amazing and you can completely reinvent your meal every time you come in by choosing a different flavor. Service is very good here, even to the point of staying polite in the face of unpleasant "skip the dishes" drivers. Did I mention their sign says kids eat free?? Too bad I don't have any. read more

Love what they are trying to do here. It's unconventional and risky but I was happy with a burrito full of things you never thought to eat in a burrito. I had the chicken with butter sauce and was concerned that it wouldn't be as good as when the chicken is cooked in the sauce, but this was really good. I don't make it up to Canada as often as I want so not sure if I go here again simply because I want to try other things (like the Afghan place around the corner). Please understand that is not saying it's not a great spot. What I am saying is if you are into trying new things and you love Indian and middle eastern food then check this place out! read more
