Can I give them 10 stars please? It was wonderful. We got there just at 6pm, literally RIGHT before a dinner rush. The place is small, but big enough so you aren't super crowded. We ordered several dishes, rice, naan, and drinks. At first, the service was kind of slow, but after that it was a deluge. Food was very tasty - I'm excited about it. The portions are bigger than other Indian places and there seems to be more of the protein than other places as well. We got butter chicken (as a tester), lamb rogan josh, eggplant bhartha, tandoori chicken, and palak paneer. It was all so good - when you just scrape the bottom of the bowl for the sauce only, you know it was tasty. The chai was good, but took forever and was a little pricey for what it is. They have a few Indian beers on hand and it's always interesting to try those. Parking is easy and it's and easy place to get to, and close to the border. read more

Enjoyed three meals lately two lunch & one dinner. Great selection of food options, quality taste, reasonable price & helpful service are attributes we've experienced. One of the lunches was a party of 10 who intend to return as looking after us was very responsive. Overall this is a place we intend to visit often. read more

Had a wonderful experience here! We wanted to grab a bite before going home to the states and randomly chose this place, and my goodness, so glad we did. Would highly recommend stopping by here for some good eats with solid service and pricing. The service was fast and our waitress was so nice. She even had great recommendations for us on food and portion sizes of how to share, which helped a ton We got the Aloo Tikki with Chana Masala, a Paneer Tikka masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo and Lamb Korma. All the dishes were so good! We especially loved the Aloo Tikki with Chana Masala, this was by far my favorite dish of the night and the best Aloo Tikki I've had. That Chana Masala on top was a game changer. Will definitely keep this in the books to revisit. Stop by this place for some quick and good eats! read more

Rasoi Restaurant - Aloo tikki with chana masala, paneer and chicken Tikka masala, chicken vindaloo and lamb korma. All amazing - Indian Near Me - South Surrey, British Columbia

Easy 2 min exit off 99E, lunch stop before Border Crossing. Scored the lunch special menu with popular choices of lamb, butter chicken or veggie curry with rice and hot crisp edged, charred plain naan for $8-11. Butter chix, medium spice barely had bite so may need to be a bit more aggresive on spice level. Creamy with tender chicken it was good but missing slightly on spice complexity. Ordered with veg of day aloo matar/potato pea curry perfectly cooked not mushy with bright green peas. Such a deal, just $9.95 for the curry duo served in traditional hammered copper pots, naan and rice. Chai was lovely, hot and cardamom spiced and barely sweet, so easy to add more. Sat in the outdoor patio with 3 umbrellared tables. Dining room at end of strip mall is nicely disguised with warm hues as was bathroom, it roomy with newer black hex tile floor, half round sink, set farmhouse style. Waitress was pro, very courteous and formal, dressed in beautiful traditional tunic...details matter from heavier duty cutlery, thicker fiber napkins, 2 kinds of breath freshening fennel seed mixes (one I'd not seen with large white rock sugar?) All makes for a very relaxing spot and last meal before leaving Beautiful BC for a long 6hr commute to Oregon. On checkout, noted a few bottles of wine on the counter too if not for the drive. Next time! read more

Rasoi Restaurant - Lunch Specials 11:30-2:30pm! - Indian Near Me - South Surrey, British Columbia

Found this restaurant recently, love their food and service. If you ever get a chance to visit this place, do try their Methi Malai Paneer and Creamy Coconut Chicken - so so good!! read more

I gotta say. This place keeps going downhill. New owners? Our meal was not hot, even considering pick up. The Naan bread was definitely not fresh, as it was dried out. Never had it like that before. I will be ordering from a different restaurant moving forward. Get your act together or go out of business. read more

I recently ordered food from here through door dash and I have to this is some of the best tasting authentic Indian food I've eaten in a while. The flavours a rich and the plain and garlic naan bread were to die for soft and you can tell it's freshly baked rather than microwaved and chewy like with most takeout places. My only reason for not giving them four stars was for the packaging. Unfortunately our very delicious sauce spilt and all the other packages were ruined with the spilt sauce. The second reason was they were quite stingy with the amount of chicken, shrimp and lamb in our various sauces. I understand that with the pandemic and through these door dash services restaurants may have to cut a few corners for savings. So it might be an even more amazing experience eating in. My recommendation will be to improve their takeout packaging. The food is 5 stars for sure! read more

Do not tip as they do not share the tip with the servers. Overall, the food was not bad and the service was good, but the owners keep the tips. read more

This restaurant has recently changed hands and the quality has just plummeted. Thinned-out portions, far less spice and the naan is disgusting. So sad to see the original family now gone. read more

We, the two foodies, yelped this place for dinner as we were on our way home to Vancouver after running an errand in Langley. The food was super flavourful and fresh!! Not heavy like most punjabi food. The quality of food is definitely not something you would expect to find at a small restaurant in a strip mall nearby a highway. The service was very friendly too. Strongly recommend it!! PS: Lisa, good luck with your courses for admission to BCIT. read more

Two dishes the are must haves would be the Paneer Chili Dry and the Mango Chicken! Oh so good! Their other dishes are good as well but these two just were at the top of the list for me! It is a little far from our place but well worth the drive into South Surrey for Rasoi's! The restaurant itself is modern and clean and bright! Good for dining in or take out! read more

Delightful and reliable option for great curry food. This family owned neighbourhood restaurant has outstanding lamb curry, medium is fine... veggies options are paneer palak and dhal. Well priced, including reasonable liquor prices. read more

Fresh dishes prepared with care, wonderful tasting and served with friendly professionalism! A great option for take out from a fantastic local business! Looking forward to our next meal! read more

Yummy food and allergy friendly! Easy to avoid egg or dairy or gluten or nuts here. So great to have trained understanding kitchen and wait staff. My can-eat-anything companions loved their dishes too. I'm in love with any of their pallak dishes - they use fresh spinach not the dark canned stuff that so many restaurants prefer. read more

Probably the worst of the worst Indian food we all have ever eaten. We ordered a lot and no one ate! I am going to warn you! You will thank me later on. We ordered Butter chicken- too little chicken swimming in sauce that was bland with no flavour. Same thing for the Buttered Prawns but this time, for $17- you get tons of shrimp compared to the butter chicken one. Again, the sauce was too bland. Chicken tandoori was hard and chewy- Chana masala was DISGUSTING! How can you go wrong with a chick pea dish? We ordered 4 other dishes- what a waste!!! On the good things we enjoyed was- the naan was delicious and light and the Aloo paratha was stuffed perfectly with amazing flavour! We will never ever go back again! read more

Awesome awesome awesome!!! This is the best Indian food this white guy has found in Surrey. I eat here almost every few weeks now. I would frequent more often but my wife is not an Indian food fan. Service is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Everything on the menu is unbelievable. And I have tried it all. read more

Best Indian food I've ever eaten, and I've had a lot. I worked in the same parking lot for a couple years and their butter chicken lunch special was deadly and a crazy good deal. They make it all the way from zero spice to extra extra extra spicy. I've tried a bunch of places but if you're looking for authentic, high end Indian food this is the place to go. The owners are friendly and the portions are decent. This is a really good place if you're with a group too because you can order a bunch of stuff and share it all. I recommend this place to everyone. read more

Arrived in White Rock from Toronto via the UK.... Seems the further West I've come, the quality of Indian Food deteriorates. Have to admit, excited when I saw the restaurant itself - but if only the food matched the decor... In one word - unremarkable. read more

Food was really good, prices were reasonable - service was very slow there was only one sever working and the restaurant was 75% full. Great size portions. We came with an infant and needed to change him but there wasn't a changing table available on the washroom which was inconvenient. Our server could have smiled a little bit but maybe it was because it was busy, but even though... overall I'd try it again in hopes the service was quicker and they have a changing table for babies. read more

This place was excellent! Great was great. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were decent as well. No complaints!

Homely punjabi food. We ordered aaloo tiki, veggie biryani and matar paneer. They ran out of Tikkis and gave us some pakoras instead. I liked their tikkis and wish there were more, but no complaints I got to try their pakkoras. Portions were large and hearty. Our hostess was helpful and attentive, but service took a little long. We visited on a Friday evening. They were almost full.Everything tasted fresh and tasty. read more

We have been to this place a couple of times, most recently on our way back from Whistler vacation last week. The lady was very accommodating even though we came in very close to their 2.30 pm closing time, and food was as delicious as on our previous visit. This makes a great mid-point stop before/after crossing the border. read more

Love their nann and curry! Ok service. Portion is a bit small but really fresh, hot and flavorful. Would recommend if you crave for Indian food! read more

The food was okay! I loved the punjabi homestyle chicken, it was authentic and yummy. The chilli chicken dry- was a bad order. It wasnt anythinh like we have it back home in India. It was sweet and yeah, not a good choice. Same for the chilli paneer that my husband ordered. read more

There are not enough words to describe how much I love this restaurant. Excellent food and amazing service are the reason myself and my family have been ordering from Rasoi for years. After being to many other Indian restaurants, there aren't many that quite live up to quality and taste that Rasoi has! Their mango chicken dish is so delicious and their samosa are also amazing! Would highly recommended giving this place a try. read more

Went with the whole family, a good experience nonetheless! A beautiful interior with a nice scent of spices the moment one walks in. The samosas were nice and crisp with an enormous amount of filling. The lamb curry was creamy and absolutely spot on. My one complaint is the butter chicken. The curry tasted great, but the chicken had a rubber like quality to it that I just couldn't get used to. Overall, a good dining experience. read more

Been there many time . Food and service has always consistent . They always catered to our needs . Our favourite part in why we come here is they have a lot of gluten and dairy free options . We love the atmosphere too . read more

I can't say enough great things about this restaurant! We often go to Rasoi during our work lunch break. We phone in our order before we come and our table is set when we arrive. The food is always amazing and the service is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is also great, as it is bright and colorful. Some of my favorite dishes are cheese naan (the best!!!), curry shrimp, shahi paneer, and everything else on the menu! read more

I have enjoyed all of the dishes, I have tried at Rasoi. The portions are generous. The prices are reasonable and the food quality is good. The service is on the slow side. The restaurant is clean and we never had a problem getting a table, even during busy times. read more

I have been ordering food for several years from Rasoi. I absolutely love Indian food, and I think this is the best in the lower mainland. The owners are a husband and wife team of Salinder and Harpreet. The food is always perfect. They have helped me out by adding extra sauce when I have more guests for no charge, and they always want you to try something you havent tried before so they give you free samples. Great people and great little atmosphere. read more

Food is ok, location is convenient, but because of the painfully awful service multiple times, I won't be back. (Service has been takeout each time). My Shanti is a much better place in this area - if you want amazing Indian food, a great atmosphere and excellent service (all for the same price!!!), go there!! read more

This Indian cuisine has me with my jaw on the floor. The butter chicken and lamb made my whole year. I'm so broke the prices were quite suiting to my liking. The rice grains were such a good size!!! Eating here will make u gassy.... But that's ok because there's no Indian food that could ever compete with the worth of this restaurant. read more

Indian Heaven! Rasoi is the best Indian food in the Lower Mainland. There is no competition for this place, and Rasoi towers above all others. The food is delightfully fresh, steaming hot and impeccably served. The portions are generous, and with enough leftovers for the next day. My partner and I are completely addicted to this place and you will be too! read more
