Our experience at Curry Lounge in South Surrey was fantastic! The unique and creative cocktail presentations added a playful twist to our evening. The Mango Lassi was a creamy and refreshing delight, providing the perfect respite on a warm day. We couldn't resist trying their Signature drink, the Blue Hawaii, which was not only colourful but also served in a fun and quirky hanging basket glass. As for the appetizer, we opted for the Honey Chilli Cauliflower from their Indo-Chinese menu, and it struck the perfect balance between sweetness and spice. Of course, we couldn't leave without experiencing their renowned tandoori dishes. Thanks to the unique spices and clay oven cooking, the Malai Chicken Tikka was incredibly tender and flavoured. For the main course, we tried both the lamb and vegetarian offerings. The Tawa Lamb truly stood out with its rich blend of spices, while the Sham Savera, a spinach and cottage cheese dish, offered a unique and delicious vegetarian option. The Vegetarian Thali is AMAZING!!!!! Paneer with the (butter chicken sauce), daal ( I don't like black daal so I wanted yellow) and the chef made that for me and it was delicious!!!!! The vegetable pakora were good, garlic naan was fresh and yummy, the raita was good, the rice was good but the salad was wilted & soggy and needed to be cleaned out better, so besides eating a few awful, old, wilted, damaged looking lettuce.... everything was delicious!!! Service was pretty awful from lack of service, acknowledging dirty dishes and water glasses. We went out with friends for dinner and they were even shocked. The evening went downhill from service and food being over cooked, lacking flavor and turning a sangria to a sugar filled drink. Not good, I guess they thought you needed sugar to make a sangria. Willing, though fumbling service with dishes being brought out at a very staggered rate despite my wife and I being the only ones in the restaurant. The highly salted spicy fried cauliflower was sent back in favor of a lower sodium version. Very tasty after the correction. Our order of rice was apparently never mentioned to the kitchen, so it came near the end of the meal. it was a very short grain and somewhat bland brown basmati. The chicken tikka was of a different variety than the red colored version we had expected, but was absolutely delicious and served with a savory mint sauce. They do have the red colored variety on the menu if you're interested. Decent decor as well. But there are so many other great choices for Indian food in the area. All in all, a very different experience but not one I think I'd repeat. read more

Fast, seamless online ordering and their very own delivery (with an unusual option to tip delivery and staff?). I ordered channa masala and naan and roti! The roti was super good but I didn't realize it would be buttery. The food was DELICIOUS! Very filling and absolutely hit the spot. Real spices added so much to that channa masala. Prices and service are very reasonable. And very fast. I didn't receive a confirmation email upon ordering delivery. They used Skip to deliver (which is great because I don't have an account with them). Recommendation is to add symbols with what is vegan and what is not (and GF) on menu items. So it was time to try another Indian restaurant in Surrey and we chose to try out Curry Lounge, the decor was very fancy. Came in here with a couple of friends so we get to try more items. Started with some drinks, 3 of the 4 were a disappointment. The spiked masala soda had a weird taste, peach bellini tasted more like fruit juice, and long island iced tea was off too. Maybe their usual bartender was on leave. For appetizers we got the hara bhara kabab, which I must say was really tasty. The spiked paani puri was meh and wouldn't try this one again. For mains we got the kaali daal (name on the menu was different), while most in the party liked it I felt it was too spicy. The paneer tikka tasted different but good from most other paneer tikkas that we have had our hands down favorite was the spinach corn. Right amount of creamy. Bread basket and pulao rice were good quantity for 4. For desserts we got the brownie with ice cream. The brownie was slightly warmed, had walnuts, and was a delight. Overall a pleasant experience! 3/5 stars because of these few things: - when we were there there were only another family of four dining. Despite this fact our food took 30 minutes to arrive. - the flavoring was just not there. I am always skeptical when trying an Indian restaurant. Most of them either use the same base gravy or it doesn't have any spice at all. Curry lounge doesn't do any of this. Been there twice, tried their lunch thali and 5 other different dishes, and all of them are decently spicy and taste different! Hopefully they will keep up their taste! Dishes I have tried: goat biriyani, kalmi kabab, corn spinach masala, chicken kali mirch and gulati kabab. Their price is bit higher but the portion size is good. We decided to come here as we were in the White Rock area and craving Indian food. Our go to standard for Indian food in Surrey is Tasty's Indian Bistro. Not being super hungry, we only got garlic naan bread and lamb korma. The bread was delicious and quite fresh when we got it. As I am not one to be able to handle a lot of spice, we got mild spiciness for our lamb korma and it was just right. The servers were all very attentive but were at a respectful distance given covid precautions in place currently. New restaurant in the city so i must check it out. Indian food items are so particularly same in every restaurant that i look for anything unique on menu. Found "shaam savera" dish . Interesting name. Isn't? Its equally interestingly prepared with spinach dumplings filled with cottage cheese. Heavy cream gravy in it n daal made me full in no time. We also ordered bread basket which is actually different naan varieties for $10 which is worth the cost. Drinks are plenty though we just had sunday special mimosa. My only disappointment was "onion kuchumber" which according to menu description was grated cucumber,carrot,onion n other things but turned out to be only onions. Service is great. Decor is unique and pleasing for ur eyes. The whole restaurant is all scattered in different angles of the lot so doesn't look like to accommodate 90 people but it actually do. I was told I could call in to preorder Chicken Tika made with white meat chicken breast but not only did nobody answer the phone during business hours, but they did not return my call after I left a message. They were crunchy and most, not oily at all with a subtle hint of spice. Tandoori Chicken Nachos: Standard nachos but just topped with tandoori chicken. Chips were commercial made and was just like any other nacho. If they had fried up some of their roti as their play on "chips" this would have been quite an interesting dish. Pretty solid dishes. I have a sort of rule when eating at a new Indian restaurant. I always order a Sag Chicken dish. And that to me determines if it is a good establishment. It was the second visit for me. Went there with a group of 5 friends for dinner on a Saturday night. My favourite dishes of the night were the: 1) Chicken Kali Mirch - a unique sauce that was black pepper spicy and so yummy dipped with the various naans from the bread basket we ordered. 2) Chicken Tikka - tasty and moist. Other dishes we tried were the Lamb Vindaloo - thumbs up from those who ate lamb; the pakora platter; okra masala; mushroom tawa (tasted a lot like the okra masala) Portions were ample and enough for six of us. We ordered takeout last night, butter chicken which had about four small pieces of chicken and the sauce tasted like tomato soup yuck, also ordered lamb corma which wasn't too bad, however the lamb kebab was so tough we couldn't eat it, the naan was soggy and so we won't be ordering from there again very expensive for what we got.
