Paneer tikka masala

Probably the best Indian restaurant we have ever ate in. The woman who seated us and waited on us was wonderful, very friendly and took good care of us! Our food came promptly and was mouthwateringly delicious! The restaurant was beautifully laid out with lovely Indian wooden furniture/antiques. The only thing I would improve is to add a disability bathroom, I don't think it was just their restaurant. I noticed that Vancouver was not the most disabled friendly city on the whole.

We made a spontaneous day of reservation for dinner on Saturday. Once we entered the restaurant, we were hit with a yummy, fragrant smell. There's a cozy and dim vibe. The bathroom had diffusers which was pleasant. My group and I ordered several things to share, chili chicken, garlic naan, tandoori wings, prawn biryani, butter chicken, and a lamb dish (I forgot the name). I had a masala chai that was ok. The best thing of all those dishes was the chili chicken! It was so good, I'll come back just for this. The garlic naan and butter chicken were good too. I recommend eating the naan while it's hot, don't let it cool down. The other dishes we tried were fine. Service was pleasant and our waiter was honest. She helped us from order ordering! Overall, good experience and I'll come back in the future for the chili chicken and to try other new things!

The owner and staff were so welcoming / made our dinner even more special. Restaurant has classy, modern, and hip decor. There's also a bar area for drinks. We had several of their pasta dishes and all were very good. Nice selection of wines, which we enjoyed with our meal. We had a large party (9 people) and they did a great job of serving us - meals came out quickly and efficiently. They really added to the specialness of our group vacation.

They have an outdoor patio area but the seating is on couches you and would have to lean over to eat at a coffee table. We thought that it would be very awkward for eating. They had one high top table outside that we took. Sunday is pizza night and all the pizzas were $17.95. The FIFA game was on both inside and on the patio. For dinner we shared a diavola pizza and smoked salmon parpadelle. The pizza was good but the crust was soggy. The salmon parpadelle was good but I think it would have been better with another pasta - spaghetti, linguine or fettucine as the pasta could not be twirled with a fork and spoon and had to be cut up. The service was excellent. When our server Malaka heard that we were coming in from Abbotsford she said that she would give us the "best seat in the restaurant". When we opted to sit on the patio she gave us a complimentary tiramisu as a thank you. It was such a kind gesture. It was a nice relaxing evening and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I've always wanted to do something like this but have been a bit nervous to do so but he made the class fun, funny, and so easy! You have the chance to make 3 bespoke artisan cocktails during this 3 hour class, 2 of their signatures and then the 3rd Aaron let us pick! He made it so easy and explained each step well, also how to use the tools properly along with sharing some great tips on shaking, measuring and also the importance of balance in your cocktail. I enjoyed every minute as well as consuming the cocktails after... each so delicious made with their in house liquors. If I had room I would have bought several bottles with me to take home!

Aaron came out as we were looking for Plan B and let us know the event had just ended and they were open again. (5 loud cheers on the street for sure!) I tried both the Kyoto and Wet Work, enjoying them both. They would even work as a blend of one another. My dad accidentally ordered a chocolate martini instead of an espresso martini, and Aaron made it happen. (The entire table loved it! Take that poured over some ice cream and I'd be far too content!) My brother had the gin martini, and while not a fan of gin straight up, it had a nice smooth finish that I could appreciate.

Another French bistro we recently tried. Didn't realize how we missed this place for so long but…read moreglad we dropped by. The dishes were simple and classic but I think they were nicely executed. Mussels were fresh and the cream sauce was not oily. Duck confit with lentils are classic pairing but done well. Duck was not salty. French fries seasoned well. The star was the pomme dauphine, hot, rich, cheesy but not heavy. French cooking done well. Treated ourselves with a lemon tart but it was not what we imagined. This was more of a family style tart with great pastry, set cream, and poached pears. The flavours and textures were amazing and balanced. Glad we splurged on the dessert.

Interestingly the steak tartare was in chunks and not grinded which was welcome for me Chocolate nousse- okay but I would pass next time Fries and salad came with each dish. The fried are so addicting and morrish. A bit of old oil flavour which is understandable considering the amount they are frying. It's not crispy but instead very potatoey. The sauce that it comes with (like mayo) went so well with it. Could eats lots of it. Salad was also a welcome addition to make it feel a bit healthier Overall great little French lunch spot

It's cozy, stylish, and the drinks are crafted with serious skill. We tried their This or That summer cocktail feature (running until August 31), along with the Lost Luggage cocktail. For food, we had the featured sandwich (beef patty, truffle dijonnaise, smoked gouda, red wine mushrooms, pickled onion, and arugula) plus the classic bacon cheeseburger (stacked with bacon, cheese, pickles, lettuce, and Hundy sauce). Cocktails, burgers, and a speakeasy setting...what more could you ask for? This was fine with us since the goal was to have a couple of drinks and stuff ourselves with some burgers and fries from Hundy (the burger joint we needed to go through to get to Stock Room). I started with the dangerous liaison cocktail (beefeater gin, peach, lemon, sugar, butterfly pea flower). This was a solid drink, refreshing and hit the spot. My second drink was spreadsheet (beefeater, st. germain, lime, strawberry syrup, green strawberry bitters). I enjoyed this drink better as it wasn't too sweet and the flavor profile was more to my taste when it comes to cocktails. I'm happy to have found another bar to add to my list of places to grab a good drink in Vancouver.

Very disappointing dining experience. We came here after a show at Granville Island. The restaurant…read moreonly had 3-4 occupied tables, yet the atmosphere was uncomfortably hot. Four of us ordered one dish when we arrived, and then placed another order about 10 minutes later. After waiting for an hour, both food orders were completely missed by the staff. The kitchen was closed by the time we follow up on the orders. They waived the $20 bill but that didn't make us feel better. My friend at least received a drink, but I ended up sitting there drinking water for over an hour and left with an empty stomach. This restaurant charges $20+ for one dessert and $40+ for one main dish. The service quality is not okay for this price range.

When we came there were not many guests but then…read moreagain it was a Tuesday night so it was understandable Ahi tuna crudo ($19) - the tuna was too fishy. Didn't taste very fresh and the orange vinaigrette sauce didn't do anything to help it. The jasmine rice balls were an interesting touch. Wouldn't recommend Shishitos and cauliflower ($14) - the cauliflower florets were nice but the shishitos were lacking that snap you get (it was a bit soggy). Wouldn't recommend Steamed Bao bun with butter prawn masala ($21) - this was one of the highlights of the night. The butter masala went so well with the Bao bun and it soaked up that sauce perfectly. Loved the snap from the shrimp but wish there was more of it dispersed throughout the dish. Definitely get this dish Crab satay ($19) - this dish was weird... The crab was misled by the flavour of the peanut sauce and it just didn't work well together as a dish. Each component was fine on its own but nothing worked together. The cabbage salad felt like just an afterthough. Would not recommend. Sweet and sour pork belly ($16) - this dish was also interesting - it felt more like just a crispy pork belly. That's it. The sweet and sour sauce felt non- existent. There needed to be another punch in this dish to make it more complete. Wouldn't recommend Sea bass ($37) - this dish was great. Loved the texture of the sea bass. The potato gnocchi was a nice touch and that Goan curry sauce went really well with everything. Wouldn't order again Beef Kad Pra kao ($29) - this was another miss. The beef wasnt chewy but it lacked flavour. It needed more basil in it to bring out the flavour. Nothing about this dish impressed. Wouldn't order again Dubai chocolate bar ($17) - absolutely delicious. Loved the crispness of the chocolate crumb offset by the softness of the dense pistachio creme and the chocolate ganache. The little bits of the rose petals gave it that essence that it needed. It wasn't overly sweet. Would get this again Overall quite a few missed and some great dishes. The serving sizes are appropriate for the price. The service was great and not overbearing. Definitely try the steamed bun, the sea bass and the Dubai chocolate bar. My biggest issue with the dishes were that the garnished were almost the same for every dish. I understand it's for the pop of colour but it was so repetitive and didn't add any value to the fish other than the pop of colour (the green shoots and the red radish). I had the spiced Guatemalan carajillo it was pretty smooth and not too sweet. I would want to try their other drinks as they have quite an extensive menu.

For the sushi I've definitely had better, but was still impressed that the restaurant had this kind of platter available. Portions were really big and among the dishes, the miso cod was a big standout with great flavour and texture. I also enjoyed the matcha tiramisu dessert as it was not too sweet. The staff were very friendly and attentive to replenishing drinks. I believe some of the drinks were made specifically for the event so I'm not sure if any of the ones I had are on the regular menu. However, the drinks were delicious and the 'Ryujin' especially was my favourite one (the glass with dragonfruit garnished over top!) It was fruity, sweet, and deceivingly tasted like tropical juice. I would like to return to experience the restaurant on its own sometime. In the meantime, it's an excellent spot for private events!
