Honestly one of my favourite Indian restaurants in the lower mainland. I found their food to be really delicious and what I like in Indian food. The decor and ambiance is a modern style

Fried chili cauliflower

Willing, though fumbling service with dishes being brought out at a very staggered rate despite my wife and I being the only ones in the restaurant. The highly salted spicy fried cauliflower was sent back in favor of a lower sodium version. Very tasty after the correction. Our order of rice was apparently never mentioned to the kitchen, so it came near the end of the meal. it was a very short grain and somewhat bland brown basmati. The chicken tikka was of a different variety than the red colored version we had expected, but was absolutely delicious and served with a savory mint sauce. They do have the red colored variety on the menu if you're interested. Decent decor as well. But there are so many other great choices for Indian food in the area. All in all, a very different experience but not one I think I'd repeat.

Lunch special Thali (12-3pm)
Tina Y.

Came here for their lunch special: $14.99/each for their Thali menus. Overall a pleasant experience! 3/5 stars because of these few things: - when we were there there were only another family of four dining. Despite this fact our food took 30 minutes to arrive. - the flavoring was just not there. Living in surrey we are exposed to some truly awesome indian cuisines, however this just does not warrant a 4 star. - the picture shown on the promotion for the lunch special Thali is way more elaborate (and plentiful) than what we were served. Don't get me wrong the portions were great, but I was misled to the kind of dishes we would be served

I am always skeptical when trying an Indian restaurant. Most of them either use the same base gravy or it doesn't have any spice at all. Curry lounge doesn't do any of this. Been there twice, tried their lunch thali and 5 other different dishes, and all of them are decently spicy and taste different! Hopefully they will keep up their taste! Dishes I have tried: goat biriyani, kalmi kabab, corn spinach masala, chicken kali mirch and gulati kabab. Their price is bit higher but the portion size is good. I don't mind paying a bit higher for quality food.

So it was time to try another Indian restaurant in Surrey and we chose to try out Curry Lounge, the decor was very fancy. Came in here with a couple of friends so we get to try more items. Started with some drinks, 3 of the 4 were a disappointment. The spiked masala soda had a weird taste, peach bellini tasted more like fruit juice, and long island iced tea was off too. Maybe their usual bartender was on leave. For appetizers we got the hara bhara kabab, which I must say was really tasty. The spiked paani puri was meh and wouldn't try this one again. For mains we got the kaali daal (name on the menu was different), while most in the party liked it I felt it was too spicy. The paneer tikka tasted different but good from most other paneer tikkas that we have had our hands down favorite was the spinach corn. Right amount of creamy. Bread basket and pulao rice were good quantity for 4. For desserts we got the brownie with ice cream. The brownie was slightly warmed, had walnuts, and was a delight. Servers were very friendly.

Garlic naan x2 and lamb korma

We decided to come here as we were in the White Rock area and craving Indian food. Our go to standard for Indian food in Surrey is Tasty's Indian Bistro. Not being super hungry, we only got garlic naan bread and lamb korma. The bread was delicious and quite fresh when we got it. As I am not one to be able to handle a lot of spice, we got mild spiciness for our lamb korma and it was just right. The servers were all very attentive but were at a respectful distance given covid precautions in place currently. Would be interested in coming here again to try more of their menu offerings.

New restaurant in the city so i must check it out. Indian food items are so particularly same in every restaurant that i look for anything unique on menu. Found "shaam savera" dish . Interesting name. Isn't? Its equally interestingly prepared with spinach dumplings filled with cottage cheese. Heavy cream gravy in it n daal made me full in no time. We also ordered bread basket which is actually different naan varieties for $10 which is worth the cost. Drinks are plenty though we just had sunday special mimosa. My only disappointment was "onion kuchumber" which according to menu description was grated cucumber, carrot, onion n other things but turned out to be only onions. Service is great. Decor is unique and pleasing for ur eyes. The whole restaurant is all scattered in different angles of the lot so doesn't look like to accommodate 90 people but it actually do. Booths are well built n comfortable.

Chenghezi chicken. That's what I went in for. That's what I got. And loved it. Did the exact same thing again and loved it again - that's two sixers in a row.. waiting to score a hatrick soon. I think it's the best North Indian chicken dish I've ever had. And I was born in India.

Came here for happy hour and left quite content. Our group of 3 ordered a few items off their happy hour menu to share. We had Cocktail Samonsa: Small little pockets of joy bursting with flavor. They were crunchy and most, not oily at all with a subtle hint of spice. Tandoori Chicken Nachos: Standard nachos but just topped with tandoori chicken. Chips were commercial made and was just like any other nacho. If they had fried up some of their roti as their play on "chips" this would have been quite an interesting dish. Dahi Kebabs: These are similar to cheese fingers, battered and deep fried these were crunchy and had a creamy filling, these are quite addictive. Honey Chilli Cauliflower: Battered in eggs and deep fried, these were light and crispy, tasty when mixed with their honey, garlic chilli sauce

Nice Patio outside for comfortable dining.

Great outdoor patio with comfortable chairs. They also take reservations, no problem. Their happy hour menu has a nice variety to choose. The inside of this restaurant is new, bright, comfortable and modern. Tonight was Monday and they had a full capacity, by today's regulations. I noted that the courier food delivery drivers were consistently taking, take-away. Great place and we will definitely return for another great meal.

Beautiful ambiance, great service and food was delicious as well. We shared the typical butter chicken, naan and raita amongst 3 people and it was the perfect portions. Everything is presented elegantly and the dining experience was great Special shoutout to an amazing bartender Vishu for presenting us with his own concoction the CINDERELLA. Many times a bartender asks you what you like and makes something completely different vs Vishu was able to make the perfect mix of fruity and not too sweet so we truly appreciated that

Great service delicious Food…read moreEasy parking and on the Water The Thanksgiving Pie And cherry Pie

What a fun place! Firstly, the name.....it has a big hook and we wanted to check it out. And who…read moredoesn't love PIE! It's located on the channel and has indoor and outdoor patio seating. We came right at opening on a Thursday, and had our choice of seating. As I understand, the bar is owned by a couple of brothers, and both were there to assist us. We started with cocktails (why not?). The margarita was a good choice and we learned that they were taught mixology by their stepdad who worked in the industry in Ballard. We also learned the pie recipes were taught to them from their mom. We opted for the Thanksgiving pie, which was served with a side of cranberry sauce and a lovely green salad. The pie was a good size, filled with turkey, rosemary potatoes, gravy and stuffing. I mean, classic flavors, and topped with a dab of cranberry, it brings out all the feels. Very tasty! The crust is perfectly flakey and delicious. The salad was topped with feta and grated beets with a tangy viniagrette. Hubs and I shared, and it was pretty filling. I didn't think we could eat a sweet slice there, so I ordered the Humble Crumble to go. Of course.......we couldn't resist. Just one bite, then another. We soon devoured the sweet pie before we could even get up from the table. I love the idea! Great food! Great Service!
