    GARLIC Naan
    Chelsea S.

This spot makes the best Naan. If you are a stranger to spice and a virgin to Indian food dont say you want it spicy here because they do not disappoint with the spice! Ha love it.

    Chole Bhature (2pcs.)

Came in on Christmas afternoon looking for something to warm me up on the rainy day. There were a lot of options on the menu and a couple of families enjoying the food. Ended up getting the chole bhatura(spice level 3),veggie samosa and some chai. The food came out pretty quickly after placing the order. And the inside was warm and cozy. Everything we ordered was excellent and the chole was definitely spicy and perfectly paired with some onions and the soft fluffy bread. The chai was the perfect way to end the meal.

My husband and I went here for lunch. The decor/ambiance isn't much to look at and it was a bit chilly, but the food was decent and the people there were really kind and helpful! We had veggie pakora and samosa chaat to start. The chaat wasn't the best I've had, it was okay. The sauces with the pakora were my favorite part. We had saag paneer and keema naan for our meals. Both were fine.

Whoa, this place packs a powerhouse of flavor in a tiny, 24-person restaurant. It's clean and tasteful. - - Here's the skinny: Head in and walk to the back. Grab a menu and sit down to peruse. When you're ready, head up to the counter and order. Head back to your seat. The hostess/server will bring you everything. - - I went for the chicken korma, garlic naan, and the Indian coffee. - - When I ordered, I asked if they had chicken korma since it wasn't on the menu. She confirmed they did. She asked how spicy I like it. I said medium because I'm terrified of what hot would actually mean. But there was no spice at all. It was delicious so it didn't bug me. Next time I'll ask for spicy and see what happens. And there will definitely be a next time! - - Indian Coffee - As best as I can tell, the Indian coffee was basically a latte. It was very tasty. - - One final note: on two occasions while I was in the restaurant for about 30 minutes, homeless or underrepresented people walked into the restaurant displaying abnormal behavior. The hostess dealt with them swiftly and conscientiously. Do not let this deter you!

Delicious food! Great value. Vegan friendly. The only hard part was where to park when running in to grab takeout. It's right downtown so plan accordingly for running in to grab your delicious food!

Full stop the food here is absolutely worth it. I had the saag paneer and my partner had the chicken vindaloo. I had a 2/5 but couldn't really taste the spiciness so I'd probably go a little higher if you like spice. The naan was amazing and the chai was probably some of the best I've ever had at an Indian restaurant. The people working here were lovely and kind, but the reviews that mention people doing strange things and entering the restaurant or doing drugs or other things outside the window are correct. There was a person who kept coming in repeatedly and trying to ask for free food and was bothering the host. There was a guy waiting on his food who seemed to know the workers who sent her away finally. But I'm really pretty frustrated with how this amazing restaurant is forced to just contend with this kind of thing when there was a police car parked one block over and 6 cops chatting across the way on the corner. I'd definitely go back here despite that and I never felt unsafe, but my partner felt he'd only want to come back for take out or delivery. Highly recommend the food and the service was great!

Not gonna lie, I love this place so much. They're soooo very friendly here, expedient, and you cannot go wrong with their Tikka Masala with garlic naan. Also, being right by Pike Place Market - it is easy to shop till you drop, then pop by for a great meal. Family friendly!

Doesn't look like much when you walk pass but the food is spot on! Located on Pike not too far from the market, this little gem has some fantastic authentic food. We popped in here and was greeted when walking in and opted in to dine in. The service is friendly and helpful. The paneer was spiced great and fried to perfection. The lamb wrap was huge and very filling. It was delicious! As for the tandoori chicken, YES, this was worth it. It came with 4 big pieces of chicken, veggies and rice. The chicken was seasoned well, tender and juicy. It was so filling I took half home for lunch. It was absolutely delicious! Overall, I do not have any complaints and only compliments for this place. Can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious food. They also have takeout if you do not want to dine it. Haven't tried it but it appears it would travel well. Definitely worth takeout or stopping by for a bite.

You know when you go to a shopping mall or a college campus, there's usually a food court? A food court consisting of decent and sub-par dining options. Well, given the quality of the food, I wouldn't be surprised to find Spice King Seattle in the midst of a local food court. Now, the food was not terrible. Decent, actually. But it was far from authentic and nothing mind-blowing. We ordered: lamb biryani, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. Lamb biryani: major skimp on the lamb with a ton of rice. And the sauce was very watery and did not add to any flavor. The rice wasn't bad, but the star of the dish was supposed to be the lamb, or lack there of. Chicken tikka masala: honestly, we thought it was tomato bisque. On top of that, major skimp again on the chicken (probably 5-6 pieces in total). The curry tasted sweet and was actually pretty pleasant, but it had a huge tomato bisque taste. Garlic naan: cooked beautifully and was a great complimentary to the curry and biryani. Only problem? NO GARLIC AT ALL. Really big disappointment. Overall, this place wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I heard the one in Renton is great, so we'll skedaddle over there soon.

I got a build-my-own saj wrap with the mushroom base saj $6, sumac chicken $7, tomato $1.5, cucumber $1.5, pickled turnip $1, and a side of hot sauce $2. The saj bread itself tasted good, but got soaked through by the juice of the chicken and became very soggy. We walked to a park 10 minutes away to eat the wraps and the wraps were bending. The ingredients are fresh but nothing particularly stood out. I didn't quite taste the mushroom on the wrap, and on top of that, I got charged $2 for the hot sauce, but never tasted it in the wrap or found it on the side. My partner got the falafel saj wrap which was overall ddcent, but he also found the saj bread quite soggy, yet the falafels were on the dry side.

We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.

The food was served very quickly. The rolls were really delicious. Though it may look small, but the portion is actually good. One roll may be enough. The tri-pod is a popular option, but that's an overkill. You may not be able to finish all. But if you want to try different rolls, that's a great option. It's a small restaurant, but seems to be popular. While we were dining in, so many customers stopped by to pick up their food. I haven't tried the bowl or the pav bhaji that day. I placed my order through Yelp, which redirects customers to DoorDash for fulfillment. Unfortunately, there was no option to specify the spice level for the paneer masala side dish, despite the restaurant description highlighting customizable spice levels as part of its offering. Because I have health-related dietary concerns, I called the restaurant immediately after placing the order to request a mild spice level. The staff member who answered was initially unable to locate my order, even after I spelled out the name multiple times, which significantly delayed the process. My husband later called and was able to get someone to find the order, but when I called back again to confirm the mild spice request, I was told it was too late to make any changes. I also had an earlier issue when I accidentally went to the wrong location and called for assistance. Rather than providing the Bellevue location's direct number or helping redirect me, I was placed on hold multiple times, which added to the inconvenience. While the food itself was excellent, the customer service and ordering experience were disappointing. Since the Yelp/ DoorDash ordering flow does not allow customers to specify spice preferences for certain items, I expected more flexibility and consideration when I called immediately after placing the order with a reasonable health-related request.

Oh, and a vodka lemonade - you can get cocktails delivered via DoorDash! Everything was super good, especially the chili cheese dog. They were really generous with the chili (a full cup of it) and it was delicious. The lemonade is made from scratch and I really enjoyed that, as well - not too sweet. When we did takeout, we each got a sandwich, and we also got a Chicago dog, "chum bucket" w/ tots, and a handful of cocktails. I'd had kind of a bad week and was basically like, I don't even care, let's just get whatever we want even if it's an insane amount of stuff, haha. They do single serving craft cocktails for takeout in little cans, which is pretty cool. And they were SO GOOD (all with very clever nautical-themed names). I think our favorite was the "No Ship Sherlock" seasonal Moscow mule. The Chicago dog was amazing - based on this and my previous chili cheese dog, I can say without hesitation that their hotdogs are 100% 10/10. The "chum bucket" tots were also really good, and again came with a very generous full cup of chili. I hate to say it because everything else was so good, but the sandwiches were pretty disappointing for the price, we both thought. I had a tuna sandwich and my bf had a veggie sandwich. They used fresh, quality ingredients, but both sandwiches were kind of bland, and a lot smaller than we were expecting for $14 apiece. That's the only reason I dropped a star, but aside from that, they are 5 star all the way. So, we would not revisit the sandwiches, but hotdogs and cocktails HELL YES YES YES!! Anything involving the chili is also highly recommended. And although I didn't really go into detail about it, chicken tenders were good, too (there were more in there than what the photo shows) - crispy and well-seasoned, and more than what I was expecting.
