    Veg Pakoda
    Shubha S.

Had not been here in several years. It is now under different management. Nice and clean place. Service was good. I was surprised that they have a full bar now and happy hour Monday thru Thursday. We ordered mix veg pakoda and chicken malai tikka for appetizers in addition to their complimentary papad and chutneys. Both were good, however, the pakodas should be smaller and crispier and kakabs smaller and more tender. For entrees, we ordered daal makhani and malai methi paneer with butter roti and garlic naan. Both entrees were excellent! The servings are good sized too...we had plenty of leftovers. Do visit if you are in the area.

Bought chicken tikka, butter chicken, and samosa's. First everything was hot after getting it home. The food was all oily. The samosas were ok, but the chutney was watery.

Service was great, waitress was super friendly and food was fantastic. Restaurant was very clean and nice decor. Wish we could have caught the buffet but they only have it for lunch.

Been here several times, for $12 lunch weekday buffet this is an absolute steal! The food is really good and flavorful, they have a good amount of options but not too many, but each option is so good. Additionally, they make fresh naan bread for you which is included in the buffet, and the naan comes out so hot and fresh, buttery and crunchy. This is one of our favorite things here. My friends and I love eating here. Beyond the naan, we like the butter chicken, tandoori chicken, paneer, and kheer. Their butter chicken is really good, creamy and mildly spicy, and the tandoori chicken is tender yet juicy with a prevalent smoky flavor. I also really liked the paneer, and the kheer has a bit of banana flavoring which makes it creamy and delicious. Ambiance is quiet and modern, and the service is fast and simple. We came close to closing and they still replenished the buffet and were kind to us. Our favorite local Indian food spot!

Came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and was able to try their lunch buffet for $11.99. The restaurant itself is clean and there are plenty of seating throughout the restaurant. They had the buffet area set up on the side of the restaurant with plates, silverware, and napkins to help serve yourself. They had a variety of vegetarian, chicken and tandoori chili fish dish to choose from, in addition to rice and salad. I felt like there could have been a bit more options to choose from, but the options they did have were tasty. Their chutney sauce was amazing and was so delicious on everything. They also bring out fresh buttery naan bread which was amazing. My favorite was the chicken tikka masala and the tandoori chili fish. Definitely try those out if you do go. We also ordered their hot chai tea, which was so flavorful and good! Overall, pretty good spot for Indian food and a bonus to go during lunch and try out their buffet for a really good price!

Jewel in the neighborhood. I was very satisfied with the food I got from here. I picked up the lamp chops, vegetable biryani, vegetable samosa, fried potatoes and variety of naan. The lamb was so very well cooked and tender. They really know how lamb is supposed to be prepared. It was sooooo good. The rice was good as well. I enjoyed the nuts, raisins and spices. The samosa was delectable. The crust was so on point and the stuffing was bursting with flavor. The fried potato slices was ok. The only thing I did not like was the naan flavor variety. The naan was very soft and warm. That part was good. The olive, garlic, and regular naan all tastes the same. I was expecting a distinction in the flavor. Over all I really liked this place. I am so glad that I found it. It is now on the few I choose to visit when I am not cooking. This jewel is worth the try.

Absolute magic. Not "set your mouth on fire" spice... just enough to keep you going back for one more bite until suddenly the bowl is empty and you're questioning your life choices. The chicken was seasoned so well, the veggies added the perfect crunch, and everything tasted fresh instead of greasy like a lot of fried rice can be. Honestly, hands down better than any chicken fried rice I've had at a Chinese restaurant. Bold statement. Fully standing by it. And paired with that warm naan in the background? Certified comfort-food royalty. And we cannot forget the cleanliness of the dining area. You could literally eat off the floor. Surpasses the 5 sec rule!

Very creamy and flavorful, and the chicken was so incredibly tender Tikka Masala - 5/5 basically it's the butter chicken plus bell peppers and onions. I didn't think it could get better than the butter chicken but that's exactly how to make it better, in my book. Naan - 3/5. One of the weaker naans in the area. Can't tell that the butter naan has any butter on it and it's not very fluffy. Rice - 2/5. I just want plain rice on the side. Whatever I got had far too much going on and I didn't like the flavor when trying to eat my curry. Chicken 65 - 5/5 absolutely spot on delicious. Interior - 2/5. Typical for this genre of restaurant...this is not the sort of place I'd want to dine in. You certainly can, but it's lacking on the interior. I picked up my second order from here and would not recommend dining in. Service - N/A since I did not dine in. Price - 4/5 Overall I'm super excited about this being my new takeout place. I've tried a lot of basic white girl Indian dishes around the area and this one is by far the best. I just wish their naan was better and their rice was plain. Realistically I should give the place a 4/5 for that, but their chicken tikka is just that good.

From quick service to bold, traditional flavors, everything felt comforting and satisfying. We started with the tandoori malai soya chaap, which was incredibly flavorful--perfectly cooked with that classic tandoor smokiness and well-balanced spices. The paneer paratha, topped with a generous dollop of fresh white butter, was outstanding. They were kind enough to make it mild for our kid, which we really appreciated. The kulcha chole was another highlight. The kulcha was soft and fluffy, and paired beautifully with the chole. The imli-pyaaz ki chutney on the side tied everything together perfectly. Service was fast, the food arrived hot, and the meal hit just right on a cozy winter evening. Since it's a small place, the wait can be long--definitely recommend going early. As a North Indian food fan, this is easily going to be my go-to spot for good Punjabi food. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

So we decided to drive all the way to Allen to give it a try. First some not so good : the place is hole in the wall and seating for dining is very limited and on the extremely cold nights like it was on the eve we went , there were very few corners inside where you could not feel the draft ! But once you got over this, everything else is wonderful! We decided to order - to go and though they were flooded with customers and orders over the phone, they did get us our order in quick time! The wait staff was very courteous and every customer was treated pleasantly and with respect. Now about the food they serve : true blue Punjabi fare from the City of Chandigarh in India, focusing on snack items and popular dishes like Choley Poori/ Bhatura and similar items. They do make non veg dishes and regular main meal dishes as well and every dish is made fresh and has the most authentic taste and flavor! We tried their veg items this time but plan to revisit soon to try out their non veg dishes separately. Prices are slightly steep but given the quality and quantity, the food served here is great value for money ! Oh and they also do catering to parties at home and we could see the owner discussing details of a catering for birthday party very intently with a potential customer. Do try them one, dine in or takeout or catering for a party , veg or non veg, snacks items or for lunch or dinner, you will come back for more! Like us!

Ordering is straightforward and efficient: you walk up to the counter, place and pay for your order, the food is delivered to your table and you enjoy it. I appreciated how generous the breakfast combos are each one comes with a good amount of food. We ordered a breakfast combo with all of our favorites: dosa, upma, idli, sambar, and vada. The dosa was well-fermented, crisp, and flavorful. The upma was soft and comforting, with a moist, fluffy texture and was well seasoning. The idli was light and fluffy, and the sambar had just the right of flavor to complement it. The vada was crisp on the outside, tender inside, and paired especially well with the sambar.
