They have a good selection of hot food, which I was surprised by (even though maybe I shouldn't have been) since it was in a small town (but I am now realizing most small town spots would have hot food from personal travels). So many complaints spots but not positive feedback! Moving on to Ally wow what a wonder customer service attendant. Being in customer service for 30 years and in management I was so impressed. She performed her job well with no complaint! Most importantly she welcomed me coming in the door smiled and assisted me in finding what I came in for. It's so important to make people feel welcomed especially since she was the first person I seen after waking and leaving my hotel. She assured I had everything I needed and because of her I didn't need to stop anywhere else on my trip home. I did let Ms Ally know how very greatful and how appreciative I was to feel so important at a gas station. She is an example of what customer service should represent. So this is actually about the GAS STATION HERE instead of the actual grocery store but i am just…read moregoing to write it here. -------------------------------------- This morning, I went to the gas station to fill up before I went to Work. however, my gas hatch wasn't opening and I was getting really frustrated, so I went inside to ask for help. I explained my problem very politley to the woman and she just gave me a blank stare like and said "well what do YOU suggest i do?" (WHATTT??) then She gave me a screwdriver and told me to try that. she said it could break the hatch and I was genuinely terrified. I didn't want to break my Car!! after a while with the Screwdriver, nothing was working so I went back in to tell her and she just gave me a blank stare and i was seriously holding back tears. I had to leave and she wasn't helping! she told me to try AGAIN so I went back OUT to try again and finally got it open. not once did this woman go out to help me. when I told her I got it Open, she just shrugged and didn't seem too Happy. I'm not sure if she was just having a bad morning or what but she was very mean and un-helpful. It's not that hard to just help a customer, it is your JOB, but this woman clearly didn't want to. The clerk went through all the lines to find one- not one available. She even went as far as to ask when they would be- tomorrow. Ok. I will come back! Still $0.99 - one thing that has not gone up in price it seems. The Christmastime treats are in full effect. The gingerbread cookie was ok. Needed more icing and more gingerbread spice! Yes they're always insanely busy, but that's just to be expected at this point. Since the owners have changed, quality has dropped. They did clean up the store a lot, so it looks…read moremuch better. They added more tables outside as well. They still sell candy, hot food, and convenience store items. They added things like milk, eggs, ravioli, little things if you need to just duck in and out. However, the prices are unreasonable. They just buy milk from marketplace ($2.50 a gallon) and mark it up to $4-$5 and resell it. Since they close at 7 PM now, you are better off just going up to Marketplace to get milk, eggs, or hot deli food (deli closes around 8:45). The food is still Gordon Foods products heated up in the oven, and left under a heat lamp for a few hours. I decided to get some curly fries, and regretted it right away. Limp, chewy, cold, and dry all the way through. No refund. The girl on the register was obviously in training, but was getting no help from the manager. She had to run my debit card 4 times, I did not get a receipt. I'll be keeping an eye on my bank account. Despite getting cleaned up, it's become a mess.
