This coffee shop is located in Homestead right on East 8th Avenue, and the inside is massive. The space features exposed brick throughout with plenty of seating, including a large number of tables and a sofa as well. Near the counter where you order, they had several baked goods displayed under cloches, along with a small area filled with a variety of cacti. For my coffee this morning, I went with a brown sugar latte while my wife chose a mocha. My son picked a banana, which was surprisingly free, and my daughter went with an apple danish. During the entire time we were there, we were the only people in the shop, and the two employees working were incredibly friendly. My coffee ended up tasting really good. The brown sugar added some sweetness while still allowing the coffee to shine through. It was deep and rich, and honestly had more coffee flavor than most lattes I have had in a while. My wife also enjoyed her coffee, and my twins were happy with what they ordered. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My family enjoyed everything about this place, from the look of the space to the friendly staff, and especially the coffee.

I regret not being a bit more adventurous with my order, but it was a very solid latte nonetheless. Great portion, great art, very creamy despite it not being whole milk. My friend was a little disappointed with their fruit tea. Portion seemed to be noticeably smaller by a good bit. There was an option to sweeten it that they opted not to do and probably should have done! All in all, very nice spot in Homestead. There's even a little place to get water. One note is, I think they have a wifi limit where only a certain number of people can connect. I tried all night to get a connection and could not for any of my devices, nor could my friend. Overall the ambiance is catered toward chatting rather than studying as the tables are very small and slow or no wifi. I like the night vibes it has though, we need more late night 3rd spaces like this one!! I got a hummus plate and ginger tea. The ginger tea was just okay. The ginger was overpowering in not a good way. It highlighted the spiciness of ginger without letting any type of "tea flavor" through. It tasted more like ginger water. For a tea house, I thought it would have more depth. The hummus platter was very yummy! The pita was warm and the olive oil on the hummus added a nice touch to it. I think I would have enjoyed the experience more had the tables not been as wobbly, the WiFi worked at any point, the tea had a bit more nuance to it, and the cloying smell wasn't there. The garlic completely complimented the plantain mash and when I paired that with some of my shrimp from my other dinner it was a match made in heaven. The shrimp were not only cooked perfectly but they were huge and I generously got about 10 to my order. The rice and peas were perfectly flavored on their own but were made better with the addition of the shrimp & peppers along with their magical Criolla sauce . There are a few seats inside and a single-person bathroom. When the weather's nice, there's a big lawn with extra seating, plus a few tables right out front. Overall, a solid spot--I stop by pretty often.

Other customers were using the dining area to read, spend time with family and friends, and work on laptops. I rate the Chai Latte has 5 stars and the holiday Sugar Plum Latte as 4.5 stars. Very evident that they care about their neighbors and the community at large. Ignore the reviews from random out of towners who have a political axe to grind and have never been to Pittsburgh or visited this business. Great spot, I will be back when I'm in the neighborhood!
