Great service but the set up is terrible. There was an elderly woman that came in while I was there complaining how difficult it was for her to access the store. There is no convenient parking, needless any for the disabled. read more

Moved service address got a big charge, then was penalized with a $70 charge that was sent to collections a month ago and got the first call about it today. Spectrum is the opposite of customer service and is too big a company to care about customers. I'm switching service today. Thanks Spectrum!! read more

I waited about 45 minutes for someone to help me. On a Sunday they had 2 people working. All I was doing was returning a modem. I finally made my return, took about 30 seconds. Within 15 minutes of me leaving the store, I started getting emails "thank you for activating your Spectrum Mobile phone." Someone at Spectrum stole my name and address from their computer system and somehow opened a brand new Spectrum mobile account using my information at a store 2 hours away from where I was in Riverside, CA. They bought 2 iPhones at $1099 each using my name and address. I returned to the Thousand Oaks store as soon as I realized what was happening. They did nothing to help me and told me to call a phone number for Spectrum Mobile. I called the phone number 3 separate times and each time, they told me to DRIVE TO THE STORE IN RIVERSIDE to correct the issue. Unbelievable. I had to file a police report with the Ventura County Sheriff, freeze my credit, freeze my NCTUE data. Wasted my entire Sunday. I plan on switching providers and not doing any more business with Spectrum. read more

Give yourself plenty of time when coming to this Spectrum location. There's 6 stations and if you're lucky 2 employees working.

If I could give this place no stars I would Horrible place every time I come here it's hours and hours of wait(just like the dmv) there's never enough people but today's experience was extra horrible huge wait only one employee and the employee is not even considerate of waiting customers she kept on taking for ever with customers with simple questions they could of easily called spectrum directly instead of explaining to each customer that she was the only one there she kept talking and talking many customers walked out this place is horrible I miss the Newbury park location at least there they had more employees working there read more

This review is for "Dee" at the Thousand Oaks store. He was very polite, professional and most importantly told me he would take care of something and he actually did! I have not had good customer experiences with Spectrum in the past, to say the least, but this young man has changed that. Spectrum should have him train the team, because his excellence in customer service is what the company should strive for! read more

Horrible service - 15 people in store waiting - 3 employees working - now only two - one went on break or went home or something... they asked me to sign in... but they are helping whoever happens to wander up in no particular order ... read more

Noemi and Kim were wonderful to work with. Btw I can't stand spectrum. The service is ok but there is always something weird happening. Noemi and Kim makes the clouds from this terrible company bearable. They were very helpful kind and patient. Very knowledgeable and amazing. Thank You. read more

I am not sure why they get any stars. When it works its fine but their system is very unstable and fluctuates constantly. Goes out sometime but wide range of speeds daily. I am moving to Frontier which is fiber not cable. No assurance it will be better because although their sales people say it is, you know just because it says over the window, "Best Steak in Town" doesn't mean that it is. Urrr read more

Now I understand why this store only gets 1 Star and I wish I had the option of zero stars. Showed up this morning only to find the store not open 45 minutes after 10am. No way to contact the store and find out what is happening. Another Spectrum employee from another store was there trying to figure out what was going on. I guess Thousand Oaks employees decided to sleep in. Will never go to this store again read more

I am moving and I am so excited that I will never have to deal with Spectrum ever again!!!! Unlike all of my other services (SoCal gas, SCE, TMobile, CalWater) I can simply schedule cancellation of service online. NOT SPECTRUM! You have to call and sit on hold and explain to the autobot answering machine that you need to cancel service and then they have to verify your account and then you cant schedule termination of service earlier than a week in advance. Why does it have to be such a pain? Spectrum service has been spotty and unreliable, the bill suffers constant creep, customer service is always lacking...I don't understand how this company is still in business. read more

My reservation still had me waiting behind the two people who walked in before me without checking in. I was told two days ago in store that they had "plenty" of iphone 13's in my color and size, and I should get a good case first. Today they had zero available and the manager showed zero interest in holding onto my business as a customer. The employees are doing the best they can, it just wasn't a good customer experience and it wasted a lot of my time. read more

Yesterday we went to this location because of some account issues. Nance helped us. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. It took some time but she was very patient with us. The issues were resolved to our great satisfaction! We were lucky because there was not a line when we arrived yesterday. Sometimes this store can be really crowded and staff can be under pressure. I think Spectrum needs to hire more customer service staff, or to make the processes easier, to alleviate the stress of their employees. read more

Just yesterday, I called Spectrum to see what the cheapest Internet Access I could get for new service . . . . OMG, these folks are sooo bad. It permeates the whole company, top to bottom. I felt so slimed after the call that I felt like I needed a shower. And I thought I would post another "this is definitely what is wrong with America" update. ----------------- Me: I just want to know what the lowest price is for your most basic internet service? Them: Tell me all about what you plan to do in your household. Me: Again, I just want to know what the lowest-priced internet only plan is. I am doing this for a family with limited income. Them: (after many more comments avoiding the question) let me tell you about a plan that is just a little more than the basic plan, it's on special and the price is good for one year! Then there's no reason you would want to go for the cheaper plan because you get so much more! Me: (getting ramped up after stating my request over and over for about 15 minutes) Are you not hearing me? I am setting this up for someone with limited income. Them: (Finally after another 10 minutes and in a disgusted tone) Fine, our lowest plan is $54 per month. But that will have a $60 install fee because the self install is not available. Me: Why is that? Them: Because I see here that this will be completely new service and new lines will need to be installed. Me: (because I know better) Actually, new lines should not have to be installed because I was there when the old Spectrum service was removed. No lines were changed. Boxes were just disconnected and dropped off. Them: That's not what our records show. But maybe we can work something out if you were to go with a higher cost plan... ... ------------------- Incredible. And this is only one element of the slime. I think I will call again, record the conversation (minus specific names), and post it out to the world and to Spectrum just how shameful the tactics are. What about elderly folks who have to deal with this stuff? If enough shame is brought to individuals, and the company as a whole, hopefully the company will insist that the slimy ways stop. But, actually, now that I think about it, a company this slimy probably isn't going to give a crap, but hopefully individuals will care and think twice before enabling such tactics and putting their reputation out there. Disgraceful. read more

I ordered a WiFi install kit from a Spectrum customer service representative and was assured it would be at the store waiting for me. I made travel arrangements and installation appointment accordingly. Went there today I was told the kit was incomplete due to they just sold their last router this morning. So my prepay and job# meant nothing to them and my planning and scheduling was wasted Not a good start for a new customer read more

Stopped by this location today to see if I could pick up a self installation kit for internet as my partner and I just moved into a new apartment. We had a wonderful experience thanks to Chasity and her help and patience today. Despite the current situation with COVID-19 and how busy they must be she was incredibly patient, kind and helpful. She made our trip to Spectrum very smooth and we were happy to leave the store with a self installation kit! Thank you Chasity for your help!! read more

Went in today to pick up all of my boxes and routers. Michael helped me, he was fast ,efficient ,and very friendly! He made the whole experience very pleasant. Thanks so much! read more

NO STARS or NEGATIVE STARS. Horrific service at their store. Two super slow employees. Only 1 person waiting when I arrived, the visit still took over half an hour. ???? When it was my turn AL, says NO you were after this other person, who walked in after me. Some old retiree, who clearly didn't have to get to work on time. This was before I knew there was a tiny "sign in" screen near the door, not very obvious. Since I didn't know it was there and signed in after the lady arriving AFTER ME, it looked like she was ahead of me. AL was so incredibly rude, making me lose my turn, insisting he saw her BEFORE ME, which he clearly didn't. He seemed beyond dumb. He never looked up from where he was standing. Basically he accused me of lying. And yes their internet service is slow and way to expensive. If I can find another better company I'll switch in a heartbeat. And frankly someone like AL should be fired. He should work at a coal mine or someplace away from people, not in customer service. read more

What a horrible store! The employees are awful! Super slow and rude. I wasted over 1.5 hours just to return some equipment! I could clearly see the other customers waiting (only 2 of them!) were just as upset as me having to wait so long for something that should only take minutes. Here's an idea, why don't you have at least 1 associate just do returns??? Duh, simple solution. Obviously VERY poor management! I'm going to cancel my Spectrum services outright...EVERYTHING! My cable, internet, land line AND switch over my new mobile service to a company that gives a damn. Bye Spectrum! Not nice knowing you. read more

The employees here are friendly and competent. The one star is not for them but for the fact that I had to wait 45 mins to return equipment (which took 2 minutes max). Spectrum now has the option to go to the UPS store to ship back equipment for free -- please do that instead of wasting time doing it in person! They need to re-think their system. read more

They need to hire more personnel. There was one employee processing myriad customers.

Horrible only one person working seriously people waiting. Losing business fast. Crappy crappy crappy

If you're very patient, and you like to wait and waste your non precious time, then you would love this place. I came here 1+ year ago and it's still the same today. Spectrum's objective is to make sure they caters to all the people who love to waste their time by waiting. And the way they come to this astonishing performance is to have 1 person helping during a busy Saturday. read more

Wow...simply a pathetic experience with this store and company.... First, over a half hour after the store hours posted to be open, not a single employee inside the store. No sign on the door saying "due to XYZ we will not be open" nothing.... Several people standing outside wondering why they are not there. So I call customer support, maybe due to the holidays they are on special hours?? Nope, the guy said "huh, yea someone should be there, did you try opening the door?" Really? That's what you say to a customer? Then he said "don't know what you tell you, I can't call anyone at the store level but someone should be there....I guess just go to another store.... But if there is anything else I can help with?" Nothing else to say but oh well try somewhere else. Can't verify other stores actually have people in them? I guess I shouldn't call support being I have to call each of the stores to track down one that's open with employees. Un-real.... read more

This is the worst service I e ever had. There are outages everyday and everyday customer service fixes the problem then it breaks again. Stay away from spectrum read more

This place is a joke you have a line of 7 people and yet, their is only one person helping all of us and we're told that another employee is takeing training class are you kidding me, we're is the customer service you guys, spectrum is not the best or cheapest service, you guys will probably will never respond to these or any reviews but I hope that when customers read this they know what their in for, maybe spend less on ads and celebs and put the money to who is writing checks to the CEO and that's us the paying customers,Nancy who was the only one working ,seeing that you have a line of people waiting should know that's it's ok to ask for help with your managers did not see any managers or supervisors come out in the 1 1/2 hr that we have been waiting that's no exaggeration who ever is brave to come I challenge you to change my mind, you don't try to up sell customers when your the only one here let's get the line moving read more

I've never seen such a train wreck of a store in my life. The employees move like that are dead and have attitudes. Waiting 45 minutes to return 2 cable boxes?? Spectrum is a joke like all cable companies and that's why the cord is getting cut and their equipment is coming back. And these companies wonder why people don't want to work with them anymore?? Open your eyes your corporate sheeple!!! read more

2 people actually worked behind 6 available counters. When 1 employee didn't know how to help the customer, the other employee went to help her. After she was finished helping that customer, she went on break, then only 1 person behind the counter. 4 customers in front of me and all were still waiting after over 45 minutes. If you go to AT&T or Verizon or other stores like this, they seem to care that you are there and value your time. I came to drop off returned equipment. I did not want to leave it there without having them give me a receipt. read more

I just moved into a new apartment And have been awaiting my equipment to be shipped out but with covid19 there's a delay. I spoke to a representative over the phone Diego who was extremely nice and willing to help me, he told me to go into a store and they can give me the equipment so I can have that all set up for work since I work from home. I went into the TO store because I was in the area and the girl helping me was so rude and told me they couldn't give me equipment and she said I needed to cancel that service before she could so I asked her if she could cancel and she said no she could not cancel it. I then called back Diego and he said that wasn't true that she is able to do both of those things. He just had a customer pick up equipment the same way I was trying to and was successful. Also he spoke to his supervisor who agreed they could do so as well. This girl was not willing to help me whatsoever she is not a good representation for your company. read more
