Great place. Guy came over to fix our cable box. First thing he did was tell us why our 4k tv was a "waste of money" because "there arent even any 4k shows". So we know this isnt true and we didnt care we but he went on and on. We didnt ask about the tv, we just needed the box looked at. He didnt change anything or fix the box he said, here i have another one in the car..... Sketchy Then he came back with the same box but with a hastly slapped and crooked 'Frontier' sticker on it as to trick us. As if we didnt know. What an illusion. He just left with our box, put a sticker on our box when we couldn't see and came back. Right when he left we took the sticker off and it was our verizon box, the same one, same serial number. (after telling us why everything in our house was the wrong choice to buy for an extra hour hoping he would leave) I mean cable places always get a bad rep, its not their fault its just, i hope he's having fun. 5 stars read more

Ahem. I couldn't believe I braved the torrential rain to bring my amazing self to this subpar store! This was truly the worst customer service experience I've encountered at a Verizon. The salesperson was very dismissive of my concerns. He informed me to do what I did at home because " I don't have a magic wand here to do anything differently." He left me to try to figure it out and when another salesperson inquired of him if I needed help, he discouraged him from helping me. When I saw this unconcerned individual bypass me again, I re- informed him that I still required assistance. He did not even come close to me as if I had cooties, and I'm the one who was wearing a mask! He says to me " okay" and disappeared in the back. At that moment, I took my amazing self from this unamazing store and braved the rain to go to another Verizon. Thank God for Daniel at Verizon in Westlake Village for so effectively and pleasantly addressing my concerns. I was so happy and the problem got solved. Looks like some training is warranted at this particular Verizon regarding respect, attention, and actual care for the customer. I certainly will not recommend anyone to come to this location due to the treatment I encountered. Frontier Communications is the worst company I ever had to deal with. I was an internet customer. After I canceled and paid balance and close account way back in November I received a bill charging me for 1 month of TV service! I called numerous times to no avail. I even wrote a letter sending proof of their error and I continue to receive bill for a bogus and fraudulent charge $53. This company is a nightmare and their customer service is not existent. Verizon FiOS was great. Frontier FiOS is not great. Service is fine when it works, when it doesn't.. well it takes a little while to get it fixed. Biggest problem? Their billing is ALL over the place. Adding charges left and right, you have to call in to get them to fix it.. then they toss new things into the terms & conditions all the time. Ridiculous. I'll give them 2 stars because the speeds are nice when working, but avoid them if you can. read more

Wish I could give them zero stars. This has been, hands down, the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. We bought a new house, the came out to install internet Monday. It didn't work when the tech left. Called Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - spent an hour on hold and talking to mindless phone techs reading from scripts every time. They would walk me through the same asinine "reset your router" script every time. NOBODY CARES. Finally get an appointment for someone to come fix it Saturday 8-12. I call Saturday morning to confirm appointment. Lady confirms it. They DONT SHOW. I call back to find out why and am told "I don't know, looks like someone canceled your appointment." I am now furious and ask why, and when can they get someone out to fix it... am transferred to "customer retention" who disconnects me and doesn't call me back. And I can't call them because it's like five steps into the phone tree. Again, FRONTIER HATES ITS CUSTOMERS. Call back, ask for a supervisor in customer retention, don't get one... when I tell them I have stayed home multiple days from work to meet people that don't show and that I want them to honor their appointment and come out today, the lady says "that's not really what my department does." There are all terrible people collecting hourly paychecks trying to just get you off the phone. They don't care about their customers, they hate them. Worst company to deal with ever. read more

This is the absolute worst company you could imagine. I requested Internet service on the 20 th of September. They said their first available appointment was on Monday the 26th. I was advised to stay home because it would be an ALL DAY APPOINTMENT. Problem is that no one ever showed. I called and no one knew what happened. One or two days later they said that it was a 'self install' appointment... What that means was these lazy worthless clowns wasted my day and never intended on showing up. But wait, there's more. Since it was a self install, that day they started phone service... You know, something they do electronically on the spot while you're on the phone with them but decided to do it a week later under the guise of a service appointment..... But yet again there's more. "Now that we've verified the phone line works NOW we'll order your modem. It should get there in another week to ten days." Oh but wait, I can get a modem from Amazon..... THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER ORDERING IT..... "Oh, we're sorry that's not one of OUR modems, weer can't provide your network security key, Internet password or even your username." Now tell me what Nazi pos company this is???? I am beside myself right now. Then some other company made me laugh my ass off by saying, "But you're already a frontier customer." If that's what you call a customer then I'd hate to imagine what is be called if I actually received service. I guess you gotta be rich or walk on water or be the right color..... I just got Verizon fios and so far customer service has been a nightmare. They could not for the life of them change over to my old phone number. This is supposed to be simple. I spent hours speaking to English Is My Second Language people in India. They could not understand me. What a nightmare. A very expensive nightmare. I wish Thousand Oaks would let us have better Cable providers. Choosing between Time Warner/Comcast and Verizon is like choosing between having a broken arm or a broken leg. Not only did they manage to make us go for days without internet or TV service with no estimated time of fixing the crap they broke, now they've billed us twice for the same month, said it was our fault, and can't issue a refund for 7 days. Thanksgiving Day 2015: As an update to my post below, just got my first bill after working with FIOS executive level service for several more hours last month. This month the issue was supposed to be resolved. Instead of removing the erroneous recurring monthly equipment rental, now they have added another recurring $12 monthly charge. So after trying to resolve this since may, now Verizons top customer service teams have managed to double my problem instead of resolving it. Unbelievable. I have wasted over a thousand dollars worth of my time now, with no resolution in sight..... The customer service nightmare: Verizon fios has great technology, but the customer service follow up is the worst I've ever experienced. My DVR was defective several months ago, and I was directed to a customer service rep in The Phillipines. Instead of replacing the defective DVR, she charged me for a second equipment rental. I've been trying to resolve ever since for months (they don't have email, only telephone service). 8 calls and 3 managers later, later I'm still being billed. Always promises of a call back to confirm resolution, but not a single call back. Verizon service is a terrible rabbit hole that wastes hours and hours of your time with no accountability for resolution. The Verizon service reps see the activity that's happened on my account, but no one cares. Avoid Verizon FIOS unless you have dozens of hours to waste on the simplest customer service issues. read more

From the very first day that FRONTIER CABLE took over Verizon FIOS in Ventura County, the Internet capability went to sh/t. It buffered constantly on the very first movie we watched on the very first day the switched over. We lost all the movies we'd purchased from Verizon. Our HBO GO no longer worked on the TV. And on and on. Customer Service told us that we weren't purchasing Internet from them. Uh, yes we are. Most frightening: out alarm system is through cable! We know two families whose bill switched to $700 OVER NIGHT! So listen up: no matter what you've heard about other cable carriers: NOTHING IS WORSE THAN FRONTIER CABLE. DO NOT USE FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS. Crooks and thieves. I was a Verizon FIOS customer and relatively content until Frontier came about. Frontier is fantastic if you desire: 1) Poor to terrible customer service 2) Service outage(s) with frequency and no updates 3) Not getting the service levels you are paying for. 4) Getting billed for items you never use(d) and then having to contest it. The final issue for me leaving Frontier for good (went with Spectrum) was regarding voice. After 5+ years I never placed a single call to APAC. All of a sudden one billing cycle I have over $500 in phone charges to Hong kong, China, etc. Instead of giving the customer the benefit of the doubt after 5+ years of ALWAYS paying bill on time, I was sent to external collections agency. If I had a history of questionable behavior, late payments and so on I could somewhat understand, but not the case. I am still fighting the $500 charges and now my credit history may be impacted. Instead of siding with the long standing and honest customer and making far more over the months and years, these morons would not place the customer 1st. And getting a 8-5 window of their arrival for the appointment day, and then after missing their appointment, and getting a computer message to reschedule next week, I need to vent! Internet speeds vary significantly. Unable get port forwarding to work using their supplied Arris modem. When requesting support they said to call in the morning because their system was unavailable. Called the next day and was transferred to no less than six people over a two hour period, each saying they were the wrong person. Final support person said I need to buy advanced support to address my issue. read more

Let's where do I start, well my internet has been out since 4/17 and today is 4/20. We called them, on hold for about 20min then talked to a tech who was actually nice and professional. Did everything that he instructed us to do, but still no internet connection, said he could get someone out there by friday. I said fine I can wait one more day, turns out he meant Friday 4/26! That is ridiculously absurd to go 10 days with out internet. We called again asking if they can send someone sooner and they gave a BS excuse that they couldn't but they'll try and expedite us or something. Either way I'm dissatisfied with the service, not paying this month and will most likely switch internet providers. read more

We've lost more the 60 movies over the 300 we have purchased over the last 10 years and told there's no way to get them back, not including the ones we have repurchased. Our "on demand" hardly works. Wish i could leave zero stars. Seriously worst company on the planet if not the galaxy. Id like to speak to the 3 year old thats running this company. I open a new service with them 4 weeks later it gets shut off cause they say i owed them $200+. Turns out they opened 2 accounts with my name and even though i payed the bill for the account thw shut off service for the house cause i didnt pay the other bill. After about 5 hours total on the phone in about 6 days i still have no internet. They said it's fixed and service should be restored within 24 hours, well ive heard that everyday for the past 6 days. Are they not calling themselves Frontier on the internet because they don't want to take ownership of all of the bad reviews? My biggest problem with them is something called "More like this". Every time I want to play a show on my d.v.r., up pops an ad at the bottom of the screen. I have to wait for it to fully load before I can do anything, my remote is frozen. I don't want to look at their stupid ads but I have to sit there wasting my time waiting for it to load. This takes a few minutes of my day so that is 21 minutes a week I lost. That is more than 84 minutes a month. I could do a lot of productive things in this time that I am wasting. This is part of the reason so many people don't watch t.v. anymore and have turned to youtube. If I can think of a way to get away from cable, I will do it. read more

This company is a dishonest company. I called to close my account and then 2 months later I get a bill over 150 dollars. They removed my online account and they stopped my automatic debit to my account. And when I called them they said they we late fee from August thru October. This review is for Frontier Fios. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I am almost 70 years old! On January 8 all of my service went out, no TV, no internet and no phone. I was on the phone for over an hour and was finally told that they would have to send out a repair man. Then they said it would be ten days before they had a technician available. I canceled service on 1/10. On 2/6 they sent me a bill for $316 for all of January and all of February. I called and after being on hold for over thirty minuets was told that the bill would come again that the system takes three billing cycles to zero out. Unbelievable! They don't seem to understand that there are other companies providing the same service they do (phone, TV and internet) and the other companies actually act like they care about the customer. Ordered Verizon FIOS in Dec when we moved to a new home. Had Excellent Service from Verizon. On April 1st I started having issues. On April 2nd I tried to call Verizon Customer Support and was told they didn't have my account. They asked if I lived in CA, (Yes Duh!) and that Verizon services were sold to Frontier Communications. What A lousy Company Frontier Communications is. I have had nothing but problems with features not working, dropped calls, etc. every day since 4/1. I have written the PUC and the Office of the President at Frontier. Their Customer Service is lousy, they do not deliver on any promises made. They cannot seem to fix the issues. This review is for Frontier Communications, the current operator Verizon FIOS in California. Because of many difficulties with FIOS after the sale of the business to Frontier, without resolution, I cancelled the account and changed to Spectrum (formerly Time Warner). below is a summary of my experience since then (7/3/17). Shortly after closing the account, I received a standard bill. I called and was told that there would be an accounting and I should pay this bill and expect things to be worked out. I paid the bill on time on 7/18. Some time later, I received a partial bill and was again told to pay and there would be a final accounting. The amount was paid on time on 8/17. I received the final accounting dated 8/25, showing a refund was due for last two payments. I called Frontier on 8/29 to clarify as things seemed to have crossed in the mail and was told that indeed I was due the total amount of the last two payments. This would be paid as a VISA gift card (not a check!?). On 9/21 I received a notice that my account had been turned over to collection agency for the amount of the last, partial payment Frontier received 8/17. That night I called Frontier, and the agent verified the information above, that there had been no balance due, indeed I was due a refund, she saw no reason for the account to be turned over to collections and was not able to see that indeed it had been turned over to collections. Unfortunately the accounts receivable department was closed and I should call in the morning to resolve it with them. On 9/22, the next day, I called the number I was given and after reviewing and having the above information confirmed, I was told that I needed to talk with another Frontier department. I was transferred. At this point after more back and forth, repeating all the above information (which I had previously been told would all be visible to the next agent- HAH), I was told that there must be some reason I was turned over to collections (not acknowledging that Frontier's error might be the cause), Frontier could not help me after failing to keep my account current and having been turned over to collection. THREE MONTHS AFTER CLOSING MY ACCOUNT and them owing me over $300, Frontier is still haunting me. This shows that Frontier is still way over its head in buying all of this business from Verizon. DO NOT USE FRONTIER CABLE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME ON PLANET EARTH! I recently moved into my first home and needed internet. After 45 minutes on the phone I was able to set up an appointment. I was told that I needed to be home between the hours of 8 am and 7 pm. I expressed that I found this to be an extremely wide window, but my daughters need the internet for homework, so I agreed. The day of the appointment, at 5:55 pm, after staying home all day, I received an email saying "Oops, something went wrong!" I called immediately and they couldn't give me an answer as to why this happened, then told me that I was scheduled for two days later (which was a lie, I have emails to prove it), and then when I asked to speak to a manager, was told they're going through "changes" and there's no one I can speak to. When I questioned this, the lady on the other end of the phone line, finally said her manager would speak to me, and then they put me on hold for an hour. I called the customer service line from my daughter's phone after 57 minutes or being on hold and finally just had them just cancel everything. The guy on the other line laughed at what had happened. This is the first yelp review I've ever written. I'm generally a neutral person, but this whole experience felt so disrespectful that I felt the need to share. Don't waste your time with them. I certainly have no idea what the other reviewers here are experiencing, but we went to Verizon FiOS the day it was available. We switched from Time Warner, who had bought the old Adelphia cable when their founders were sent to prison for looting the company. If you looked up "Horrible" in the dictionary, you'd see Adelphia's logo. Since day one (over five years), our service has been 99.99999% perfect. The TV never goes out (TWC would die at least once a month), our landline phone service has been maintained as a landline, our Internet connections are blazing fast, and all of those and our two cell phones are bundled for billing. On the occasions where I needed to speak to someone, that person was based in Frisco, Texas. They even have an app you can download to your computer to fix those rare occasions when the set-top box has issues. It has worked every single time. Sadly, as I write this, Verizon has sold their FiOS system AND their landline business in California and Texas to Frontier Communications, one of the 10 most hated companies in the US. So, everyone here, good luck with that. I'm now looking for some kind of streaming service. read more

DealIng with Frontier is worse than going to the dentist. Wondering why they call it customer service when there is none. Some channels came up as "unavailable". OF course just in time for the NFL playoffs. Some Einstein at customer service said that a technician will be out on 1/16/20 between 1:00-5:00 PM. NO ONE SHOWED UP. NO ONE CALLED EITHER. I took off a half day from work for what? A no show! I once again called their customer service number with their "ticket" number. I was told that it was a internal issue that shows resolved.
