They keep charging me for renewals I never asked for every time I call back, talk to someone, or leave a voicemail asking to be removed from renewals they ignore me and sent more notices of payment. To start, we engaged in their services after an initial call where we outlined exactly what we needed. They jumped at the opportunity, upselling us to faster turnaround at the first change they had. Weeks later, we find the service was not completed in the way we asked. Their excuse? We don't offer XYZ service, we use templates and this is the best we can do. In other words, they knew exactly what we needed and knew from the start they couldn't deliver. Still, they charged us full price, knowing they couldn't deliver. We spend more money, with a 3rd party, to fix their mistakes, and once we've sent revisions over to Corp net, they still send back final documents with mistakes. Will never use their services again, and I highly recommend anyone considering to look elsewhere. read more

Working with CorpNet is one of the worst business experiences I have ever had. We paid a lofty fee on the front end to have them complete tax registration for us in the state of Georgia (a task which, frankly, should have taken a few days). It has taken SIX MONTHS (and our registration is *still* not completed). I have found myself doing far more work than if I'd simply had one of our in-house people take care of this - but we were sold by the assurance that this would be seamless and easy. Their tax processor has been unresponsive literally 100% of the time (I looked back in my emails and have never actually received a response from him directly - only automated responses and emails from customer support people referencing him as my assigned processor) and they have given me forms to fill out with virtually zero explanation as to *how* to fill out the forms (we're a company in Illinois - these are complex tax forms in Georgia. There's a reason I paid someone else to do this). I am actually appalled at what a racket this company is. I will never pay for this service ever again. read more

Family had referred me over to Corpnet and for that reason I assumed I was in good hands. Unfortunately quite the opposite occurred. While my intentions were to file as just an a S-Corp (please bare in mind this is my first time setting up a company) I accidentally filled out an LLC form with S-Corp elected but what I got was an LLC with no S-Corp election. I asked to have it changed to just an S-Corp knowing the EIN would change. Frustrated but also taking this as a learning experience, I sucked it up and paid another $260 on top of the $967 I had already paid for expedited service (24 hr processing: 2-3 business days). Second time around I was very clear that I wanted just an S-Corp understanding the EIN would change, however, instead it was converted to an LLC S-Corp with an amendment to keep the same EIN. After multiple attempts to get someone on the phone at Corpnet with no response, I ended up just paying $250 for a CPA consultation. Fortunately from a tax standpoint the CPA mentioned it's okay to keep as-is so that put me to ease. While they were fast to process, their attention to filing details and making sure the customer gets what they want is lacking. However what really left a bad taste in my mouth was the lack of communication. I couldn't even get a call back after they messed up the second time around. I called multiple times and was told my call back would be escalated to priority status. A month has already past and no call, missed call or a voicemail. Processed my order on 10/29 and just today received my new EIN number when I originally paid for 2-3 days. Beware and proceed at your own risk. read more

Messed up my filing, my corporation is still not functional. Had I known it would take this long I would've done it myself and not paid over $1,000 for a rushed order ...that then didn't arrive for several weeks. Amendments needed are not getting filed either. We are not talking about a couple weeks delay, but rather several months. It seems each week I call to see what's going on. The person handling my case is very nice, and polite, but the corp is still not filed correctly. How long can it possibly take to file a couple of amendments? I chose to use the filing service CorpNet since they were local to where I live and I was tired of the Up-Sell that I experienced with Legal Zoom which was very annoying. And Thierry (Legal Zoom) staff trying to sell you stuff weren't very skilled on their supposed specialties, but they did file that Corp correctly and as a Professional Corp, which Corp Net did not. Perhaps they CorpNet does better in other states than California. ‍ I'm only going by my experience in state of CA. read more

I not only love how easy CorpNet is to use for setting up a business and managing it, but they have superior customer service. I've been a customer for four years now with two businesses. Every time I call or email them, they promptly answer my questions and fix any issue I may have. For example, I had a hell of a time trying to register my out-of-state business with the state of California. Dealing with California's Secretary of State (CA SOS) back then was a nightmare. It was all paper-based and by snail mail only. After three months of back and forth with CA SOS by postal mail, I gave up! I RECEIVED A 2019 RECEIPT SHOWING MY DE STATE FEES WERE PAID TO DE, AND THIS IS A TOTAL LIE! THE STATE OF DE NEVER RECEIVED A PENNY. Almost a year ago, I thought I would need an LLC. I chose DE for privacy laws. Fast forward 11 months, and CorpNet, tried to charge my old credit card $567.00. I was not planning on renewing the corporation b/c they got the information in setting it up completely wrong. On one of their documents I am listed as the Member, which is 100 percent wrong, and on other documents the Member that it was supposed to be is also wrong. I spent months trying to reach the Registered Agent in DE, and no one ever answers the phone or responds. It turns out that a few years ago the Securities And Exchange Commission went after 200+ corporations by CorpNet's DE Registered Agent for fraud, and NO CORRESPONDENCE WAS RESPONDED TO. I believe CorpNet to simply be using a DE address. In 2019, CorpNet pocketed ALL MY FEES TO THEMSELVES, putting me a year behind in DE fees. In addition, changing the Registered Agent and the WRONG LLC MEMBER that they served up is hundreds of dollars plus $600.00 in DE fees now due. USE CorpNet with extreme caution. These people think they are above the law, b/c they have their low level employees sign all the legal documents and hide behind multiple entities themselves. There is a good chance if you go with CorpNet, your State fees will always be a year behind because they give you receipts saying the State fees were paid, but they pocket the fees. As long as they have your credit cards on auto-bill and stay your Service/Registered Agents (wow - they have an address in every single state!) your corporations will technically stay current and hopefully in good order. CorpNet is totally taking advantage of pocketing business owners money that business owners believe is being paid to Secretaries of State in different states. You will only discover the financial scams and receipt fraud if you try to change states, agents, or call the state Secretary of State Business Services office yourself and ask them in the first year what fees were paid to the state. Anyway, this was my experience with DE. CorpNet never paid them the fees they said they did and that my CorpNet receipt reflects. If they do not refund my fees collected under false pretenses and dissolve this wrong entity at their own expense, I will fully report the whole scheme. Use CorpNet at your own risk. If you don't mind being price gouged, that they essentially ARE the Registered Agents in all 50 states, and that they give receipts when they set you up saying State fees were paid, but they are only enriching themselves with the money, then enjoy always being a year behind in your corporations. **Anyone can go to IRS.gov and get an EIN number and sign up for a LLC, S-Corp, Not-For-Profit, C-Corp in minutes on each state's website. In most states, you can be your own Agent, but not DE and some. Nellie and Phillip Akalp don't take any legal responsibility for the documents that are being signed. Disgusting customer service! I tried looking on the website and it doesn't even show what I paid/signed up for. I still haven't received my business license, my va tax employment commission account number or tax account number. Her whole process was very bad and sloppy I feel she was use a order taker because she didn't have knowledge of ANY of the questions she asked me and then when I asked could she explain she couldn't and said I just need to pick one. What kind of business does that? I tried to put up with it as long as everything got done but I has been too frustrating especially as a new business. I have not been satisfied with anything. The communication is severely lacking. I would NOT recommend this place to anybody for ANYTHING even if you got it for free. Returning to this comment I started writing last year after contacting them, but couldn't finish it because I was so angry back then. Came across this writing today and decided this comment should be shared. Back then I just went through an ugly divorce. As a single mom with 3 kids, working from home was really my best option. As I was getting ready to launch my small almost-no-budget business, all my friends warned me I get protection to avoid any liability. So I did some research online and decided probably LLC is what I needed. I eventually stumbled across CorpNet CEO's many videos and blog posts they published online and thought she and the general impression form her company website really show friendliness and the willingness to help newbies like me. They even offered free consultation, according to their website. So I decided to email them my questions first and wait for them to contact me for the consultation. I already did a lot of reading online before that point and was thoroughly aware they're not attorney or CPA. But in their pricing charts, there are so many items / documents that I don't know if I'll need all those as a small start up. So I was hoping they can briefly explain to me what they are and which of those are what I need. Otherwise, they add up quickly and get really expensive. Isn't that what a consultation should be about? Unfortunately, it turned out to be anything but. First off, she had no idea what questions I presented in my email that I sent previously. When I tell her I'd like to know briefly what those documents in their pricing charts are and do I need all of those, she sounded IMPATIENT and said they ALWAYS tell their clients to buy the "complete" package plus "other documents", which means the most expensive one, without telling me what those documents are, even just briefly, and which of those are what I'll need. I then asked her if I must have a registered agent. She said by law I MUST have a commercial registered agent REGARDLESS OF WHICH STATE I file my LLC in. That's strange because when I searched through Nevada business entities database, I've seen LLC that have NON commercial registered agent. Then I ask her again do I really need all those documents, all she did was kept repeating IMPATIENTLY that they are not attorneys / CPAs, and they always recommend only that most expensive package, and almost 100% of their clients purchase that most expensive package. I was thinking in that case, why did you post the other much cheaper packages on your website? for decoration only? This is what they call "consultation", which is nothing but forceful upselling without any real help. She made me feel I'm not worth their help / business, not even their time, and she sounded like she didn't want to be there from the beginning of that call (not sure why). I didn't quite want to believe that when that first happened because it was such a slap on their face from the impression they built from their website. But as the conversation progressed, it went from bad to worse. In the end, I was simply exasperated. A humble suggestion to Yelp: perhaps it's high time Yelp made zero star option available for rating.
