My wait time was only a few minutes, and when my name was called, I was assisted by a young lady named "Lilly." I asked for her help with a specific cell phone I wanted to purchase. Our apartment complex switched us over to spectrum claiming it would be amazing. And it's actually horrible, service drops constantly, the transition was a nightmare and the installers provided us the most basic flyer to switch over but it didn't work so we had to call and they were telling us we needed to pay for another account which we didn't and that we don't have Internet set up with them yet. I work from home and my Internet consistently drops or is very slow early mornings, mid day, and later at night but randomly also just drops. We have to unplug and reset our modem constantly. 0/10. Don't recommend them as your internet provider unless you like spending your time frustrated without internet. If you enjoy that, then they're great and you'll love calling them all the time and getting in your steps having to walk over to modem to unplug and plug it back in after 1 minute multiple times a day. Had to go in to return some obsolete equipment. Was met by Emili, who was very professional and efficient. She was able the answer all my questions regarding the return and complete it while multitasking informing "new" customers they needed to check in. She was also able to also help get me some additional remote's which I was have some issues with. Pro Tip- get there about 10 to 15 minutes before they open, that will help you get in/out faster. Side comment-Spectrum as a company has improved its customer service over the years but you still have to be on top of your billing and equipment returns as they not shy about jacking up prices with little notice or changing you for equipment not being used or obsolete. read more

So I came here today to swap out my Internet box that was having issue. I signed in and there were two people in front of me. I swear, I was called within five minutes. Which, by the way, I was greeted by a store rep in the entire experience left me confused. I'm confused because I read all these comments suggesting the store has issues, or it has bad customer service, or just poor experience. Maybe staff had a bad day for all those situations or management read some of the comments and may changes but there's no way you can tell me that the store has bad customer service support. This has been the worst support experience I've had. The representative, Melissa, was extremely rude and unhelpful. Instead of addressing the issue, she offered a $10 credit for ongoing intermittent internet problems, including severe packet loss and high latency. The speeds I'm getting directly from the modem are far below what I'm paying for. When I raised this concern, I was told I would need to call every single time the issue occurs. Since starting the service on February 19, I've experienced problems almost every other day. Being told to repeatedly call support for a recurring issue is unacceptable. Worst customer service and then they charge me after I cancel the service. I asked for any discounts and nothing was offered and I can't afford the recent increase in cost. I called AT&T and got new service setup quickly and more affordable than what I was offered by spectrum. After I called to cancel they offered me a super reduced rate. The woman who I spoke to earlier offered nothing so I said I was going to cancel. So dumb that they don't try to help seniors on a fixed income unless they're canceling their service plan. Too little too late! I don't quit a job and then go find another, so why wouldn't I try to find a better cable provider before canceling my contract? It's just frustrating that I switched over before I was offered what I asked for in the first place. Last person I spoke to was sweet and empathetic compared to the previous person who was incredibly rude with a snotty demeanor. Too bad more people aren't trained in customer retention instead of just making me feel worse about my cable provider. They shouldn't charge for a full month when I have cancelled my service June 4th and then charged for a full month on June 11th. This is just wrong to rip off seniors! read more

My family moved into our house almost 3.5 years ago. It's one thing to get mailers (that go straight to the recycling bin) every couple of months. It's another thing to walk into my house while my wife and I are working with contractors, interrupt, then - when discovered - resist leaving until I have to walk you to the curb and ensure you walk away. It's another thing to stand for 5 minutes knocking on a door with a NO SOLICITING sign on it before finally leaving...but waiting out on the sidewalk for several minutes afterwards. Yet it's another thing to keep coming every few of months - cosplaying as technicians (the sneakers are the giveaway) and entering our now-fenced off courtyard - for a clownishly aggressive sales pitch, then resist leaving the courtyard after hearing "no thanks, please leave now" from the property owners. But what happened last Thursday was another thing entirely: to hang out in a private driveway, stand outside a parked car, waiting for the owner and his child to exit the vehicle for several minutes, refusing to leave when asked (then told) to do so, and then mean-mugging your prospective customer through the windshield glass of his car for a couple more minutes before finally walking off....but not without further staring down your prospective customer...it's the establishment of an unthinkable new low. Listen Spectrum: I was never a fan. However, any chance of getting our business has been completely obliterated by your door-to-door sales team in Metro San Diego. The aggressive, persistent presence: annoying. The bro-speak sales pitch: slimy. The cosplaying as techs: creepy. The ignoring of direction to exit private property: criminal. So I was with T-Mobile for almost 12 years next month . Me and my wife were going to upgrade to iPhone 16 pro max . But T-Mobile was ridiculous on there down payments on there phones . So I started calling around . After about 4-5 calls to different stores spectrum was the best on there prices . So we swapped over to spectrum now and we're only there for about 45 mins all together . That's purchasing the phones and moving everything over from both phones to the new ones and there not far from our house either . And there even open on sundays for 12-5 also and I don't have to call a phone company like T-Mobile to get help. All I got to do is come in and talk to a real person now . Absolutely embarrassing incompetence. My internet starts having issues so i call the support line. They tell me i need to take my equipment in to be replaced. I bring it to this store and they give me the replacement equipment. I bring it home and it doesn't work. I call support again and they tell me the equipment i was given by the store is INCOMPATIBLE with my service plan. What the hell are they asking for my full name, address and account number for, if they aren't even going to pay attention to their own product requirements. And if you try to call the store to try and set up a swap, their phone number goes to a call center in texas where they tell you "none of the store phone numbers actually connect you to the stores. This store is ridiculously inefficient. They have a staff member standing next to one on a computer and all he is doing is holding two boxes of equipment and staring into space. All I needed to do is drop off a piece of equipment I don't need and there is no way to do it without waiting while the two staff actually using the computers are working at a snails pace ignoring the 5 people waiting to be helped. Now they are chit chatting with one client while the rest of us are waiting the guy is still standing holding 2 boxes and doing nothing productive! Internet service was decent, speeds are good, but wifi router for the gig plan would frequently drop devices. When I moved and went to cancel my service I also found out they do not prorate charges and i was charged for a full month even though I only needed 2 weeks of service in my last cycle. They then proceeded to try and sell me new services even though they cannot assist me with prorated charges. Overall customer service was annoying and failed to understand my situation. iI was in your store on clairemont drive in April I had the pleasure of working with Alan. I was so impressed by the way he went over and beyond to accommodate me. I had left Verizon and he set up 6 lines and made everything go as planned this kind of service needs to be recognized as now a days your lucky to get great service. Make sure to take a photo of your equipment when returning it. they will just say "you're all set!" They will not actually send a confirm email stating you returned it, when requested. Can I get a confirmation? "It will be sent to your email" can you confirm my email? "Your name at gmail.com" ... I called customer service and they checked my account and it was received so hopefully it's fine. Cover your a** so you don't get dinged or mail through UPS. Switch to ATT fiber lol read more

Despite what all the other reviews say, I had a pleasant experience. The customer service nightmare which most other reviews complain about I did not experience. Alan in specific was extremely helpful. I needed to trade in my device and purchase new ones. The whole process was seamless. And when I couldn't perform a specific function on the device, Alan helped me troubleshoot it until we figured it out. I would recommend this place for all your spectrum needs. I am annoyed that Spectrum has raised the price of their basic high-speed internet connection again. It's bad enough they offer an introductory price for only 12 months and then sock you with a $15 monthly increase after that. In a span of a few years, the cost has gone up $5 per month x two. Over that period, the connection speed has not improved nor has the service reliability. Unannounced outages happen more often than they should which is awful because more people are now working remotely and rely on the product to not fail. I have made bill payments at a couple of their local office branches in the past. The workers processing the transaction always harass by asking who is your mobile phone carrier and cable/satellite TV provider. They are trained like robots to try and upsell their bundle package. A friend had once advised me to call Spectrum and threaten to discontinue their service. The outcome was that after speaking to a manager, they would offer a discount to hold on to you as a customer. That tactic no longer works as they are more than willing to let you walk rather than provide a deal. It's a shame that the local market has so few options when it comes to home internet access. read more

The team over at this spectrum are super professional. My host was Nick and he did a phenomenal job in setting me up with the right plan for my budget and need. He was super quick and informative, no b.s. in trying to push useless plans on me but unfortunately the other hand he did inform me of them. This way if in the future I needed to upgrade or downgrade, there are options. Real Sales reps like him are super rare and are needed everywhere. His boss definitely needs to give him bonus for all the good work he puts in and a raise on top of that. Keep up the good work there ! read more
