Tbh I do not trust people who rate these places poorly- likely they had something go wrong that was completely out of any employee's control. Today I spent 3 hours in this joint with my sister trying to troubleshoot a service transfer from xfinity (the absolute worst) with a lost phone. Safe to say we were a difficult case. At one point my sister and I were screaming at each other from opposite ends of the store and the kind young man working there knew his place to just sit back and ignore us. He even was on the line with my old provider trying to figure my shiz out. Did I leave with my issue resolved? no. But that was because of nobody's fault than my own (and the literal turd customer service of xfinity). My only cautionary advice would be to bring headphones if you will be there longer than 20 min- music playing there is like 2010 radio station. read more

Came in looking to trade in my phone. Met with a team member who told me he would be right back, then proceeded to spend 10 minutes in the back room. After he finally came and sat down with me they proceeded to never make eye contact, constantly texting someone on their personal phone and offered no guidance. After I purchased my phone, I was appalled at how they were handing it. Flipping the box in there hand, dropping it on the table etc. The phone was fine, but you would think after spending upwards of a thousand dollars they would treat your phone better. And finally, after everything was completed they proceeded to charge me an additional $120 for taxes and fees, which were not mentioned up front. Overall I had an extremely poor experience and if I didn't have to go there to get a phone, I would never go back. read more

Had gotten a new phone because my old phone had broke the people at the Verizon store I went to told me to drop off my old phone as is, I went to this location to do that the people working their were clueless and seemed to be completely unintelligent and seemed to be under some sort of drug influence they had no idea what they were doing I tried to work with them but they were so clueless and brain dead I left the store went to the original store I got my new phone at and was able to give back my old phone in one minute and got my credit back. I usually don't complain and I am very understanding customer. I had to go 5 times to get appropriate help with a line transfer. Every time (several times with Nestor) I was told "I can not help", "you have to call there", "I don't know". Finally on my 5th attempt, a really professional employee told me to go to the Point Loma corporate service, where they solved the problem for me in a few minutes. Frankly, disastrous customer experience and really recommend retraining this particular employee. Even other employees were concerned and apologized. Seriously, do something! read more

My iPhone Mini 13 stopped sending/receiving calls on a Friday night and I went into store on Saturday around Noon. Kevin was there and he spent almost 2 hrs trying to figure out what the problem was. His colleague, Nestor, arrived around 2:00 and he took over, doing his own tests. They both were very knowledgeable, but neither had never seen this problem before. We all felt it was the device so I decided to upgrade to a iPhone 16 and data was transferred. BUT NO CALLS COULD HAPPEN! Nestor started to call customer serice (CSR) around 2:30. It was unbelievable: if one CSR could not help, he/she simply hung up the phone & Nestor had to start over again. We were even directed to Fraud as in my attempts to fix previous night, I accidentally created a second line which my account was not recognizing. At 5:30pm he was speaking to the 14th CSR! I was ready to turn new phone back in and switch to t-Mobile. But this last CSR figured out I needed my WiFi turned on in order to do calling, something which is usually not needed as calls are made through your phone carrier. I finally walked out of there with new phone working at 6:00pm. Nestor made sure I was refunded the $40 activation fee. Anyone who left lousy reviews of service at this store never worked with Kevin or Nestor. I am very grateful to them and Verizon management should be proud to have them in their company. read more

The guy that helped me was friendly but really misinformed. He gave me a SIM card that didn't work for my iPhone 12, I came back the same evening bc it wasn't working and he told me they were out of sims bc of a shortage? But if I rushed I could make it to the Point Loma location and get another SIM card. That location closed at 7 he said it was open til 8- drove all the way there for nothing. So I go to the La Jolla Verizon at 9 am the next morning, going a whole 24hrs with no cell service... to be told my phone has an internal SIM card and I never needed a physical one. And now it looks like he ordered me an iPhone 14 pro plus on my account that I never asked for! Now I have to figure out how to get the fraudulent charges off my account. Hello, I just left the Verizon store and I wanted to note my pleasant experience. I believe Anna helped me out & just wanted to say how patient and understanding she was with my circumstance. She was trying to move quickly and efficiently as possible. There was a customer who was visibly frustrated because her appointment did not start right on time and needing to be at a doctors appointment at a certain time. This customer kept sighing heavily. At one point, I had to interject & tell her that I had an emergency situation so that's why we're behind. She appreciated what I said but was still upset and directed it towards Anna. I don't really feel that this customer was all that understanding. Doctors function just the same and tend to run behind on her appointments. Would she direct her anger just the same? She could have communicated with the doctor she's running behind or scheduled the Verizon appt for after the doctors appt. Her phone was not working, but her husband was there with a working phone. She interrupted several times with comments about getting another cell provider on the line and cancelling her current service. Had she not interrupted multiple times with her attitude, comments to another customer about her frustrations, we probably would've finished sooner. Customer service is hard & I appreciated Anna's patience. I felt bad that I had to leave Anna alone with this angry customer. read more

On July I went to upgraded my iPhone and I gave my old iPhone for credit because I qualified turns out MIKE the person that helped me with the upgrade LOST my old iPhone he doesn't even know where he sent it. I went and talked to the manager ANTHONY SHERMAN who acted like he was going to help me gave me his phone number and everything but every time I called or texted him he NEVER answered. I had nothing to do with the staff, so I can't speak to that at all (my fiancee was the one getting help with his phone). However, I sat in the chairs while I waited. In the hour we were in the store, I got no less than three bug bites. I have no idea which bugs, but I didn't move from the chairs save to take a quick phone call outside. I don't have allergies, so I don't think it was anything like that. As it stands, I don't know that I ever really want to go back to this particular branch. Edit: You might think I got the bug bites when I went outside. However, it was all in areas that had direct contact with the chair (I tend to tuck one foot under me as I sit). The phone call was less than two minutes. I am in that area all the time. I've never gotten bug bites while in that area before. read more

WARNING! THIS "RETAILER" USES BAIT & SWITCH TACTICS. My spouse and I went into this location on 6/27/16 because it is near our house. We saw a BOGO (buy one get one) ad and wanted to upgrade our iPhone 4s phones to a pair of 6s phones - that was the only reason we went in there. The salesperson, Mark Silberstein, handled the transaction and assured us that after making payments for both phones for 2 years, we would receive a credit for the cost of one of the phones ($760) in the form of a debit card. He also offered the "Total Mobil Protection" insurance, which we declined. Two years later, after having faithfully made my payments, I called Verizon customer service to inquire about the status of my $760 debit card. I was told that's not the way Verizon credits BOGO sales - they credit the amount of the payment directly to the account each month. After I explained, in detail, to Rene - a very helpful Verizon Customer Service Rep - the details of the sale; she contacted the local "Retailer" and was told they weren't running a local BOGO promotion at the time & neither was Verizon- LIES!! (Not to mention fraud). In addition, the insurance we declined at the time showed up as a charge on our bill, which I had to call and get reversed. BOTTOM LINE IS THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO MAKE THE SALE - DO NOT GO TO THIS RETAILER - YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF. After 1 1/2 hours on the phone with Verizon, their best offer was a $550 credit on my bill. I am still short by $210 and very angry at being the victim of fraud and theft from this "Verizon Premium Retailer." read more

Wow what a day! So I got a new iPhone 13 that for some reason wasn't allowing me to text or receive texts. I spent 3 hours at Apple (zero help) one hour on the phone with Apple (they blamed it on it needing 48 hours for my new phone to work or Verizon) BS!!! Then I went to Verizon and Issac spent 3 hours trying to figure out what was wrong with my phone, ending up calling Apple care and getting the issue resolved which one that my IMessage had been blocked for some bizarre reason. Charlie the Manager blatantly lied to my face multiple times about the costs of add-ons that I did not need or use. It costed me $100's more and a long contract for these extra devices that I never used or even wanted. Every single attempt at contacting him, including dozens of phone calls and emails, and even walk-ins to the store, he magically was never there or available, no matter what time of day or day of the week.
